We were positively surprised”
We booked Thai family house with garden view, which was upgraded to ocean view when we checked in. Likely due to low season but very nice surprise regardless. Resort is well maintained and beautiful in every aspect and the staff friendly. Open air bathroom and Jacuzzi are just cherry on the top. Small minus is lack of room service but not big deal. Also food in Restaurant is on the expensive side like in most resorts but it was tasty.
good food, services, nice staff, good location and proper money pay”
all is good
If I go to Koh Kood again, I will stay at this Resort.”
Beautiful place, friendly staffs, good food and cocktails. We have booked the twin house sea view which I recommend if you go with your friends or family. There is a lots of activities offered in the resort. I will come back here again for my next trip to Koh Kood.
Wonderful experience, Perfect location”
Had a fantastic time staying at Koh Kood beach resort and I will recommend it to anyone traveling to Thailand in the future, the facilities and the location were top notch including a beautiful large swimming pool overlooking the private beach. This resort is built for total relaxation and peacefulness in mind and that is exactly what you get. We loved it and will definitily return here again. The staff were all friendly and helpful too.
A Special Place to Relax”
We had a very special stay at Koh Kood Resort, which is a place to relax and recharge from the normal pressures of life. It is a place I would highly recommend to others, and a place I would return to again
Best location on the island ”
We stayed in a Bali house ,overlooking garden down to beach .the staff all speak good English ,and take great pride in the resort . At night the island closes down so it is important to have good accommodation and good food .this resort meets all thos needs . We have booked to go back with friends nest year .
We stayed for 7 nights and were impressed by how friendly and accommodating the staff were. The layout of the resort is stunning and the beach out the front has good snorkeling. Make sure you check out the rest of the island.
Very good ”
We opted for the family house , pricy but absolutely worth the money . Two big rooms , terrace overlooking the sea and a private jacuzzi . We have been to Koh Kood several times but this place is one of the best on the island . Good location , good restaurant , nice swimmingpool and very well maintained . Friendly people and very helpfull . We where the only guest in the resort at the time as it was (very) low season but still everything was fine .
Warm welcome from staff and great view”
Great view from both Bali house and restaurant. All staff are friendly and helpful but the food is a bit slow. The resort is quite neat with good maintenance, peaceful and lovely. The beach is nice and clean although there is a small entrance to the sea. It’s good for a couple who enjoy nature and scenery.
Holidays in paradise ”
we stayed for 5 nights and had a great time. the resort offers free kayaks, mountain bikes, snorkel gear and dvds! pool was great with a nice view and it is one of only a few on koh kood! the team was great and fun and really helpful! breakfast was ok, food in general good but a bit pricey for what it is, but i guess prices were similiar to other hotel restaurants on the island and prices are in general higher on the island, so it was ok. all in all we were really happy with our stay and we would recommend this resort!
Great service, beautiful setting, but not perfect”
A lovely resort for escaping the rat-race: perfect for couples & families (staff are enthusiastic temporary baby-sitters!). Some great swimming options too: beautiful infinity pool or quiet ocean beach! The friendliness of the staff is also a highlight, as is the food quality... Kayak & snorkelling equipment is free to use, as are movies to take back to your room. However their old TVs need to be updated! Our's didn't work properly and so we weren't able to watch any of the movies, which is unfortunate due to the lack of other evening activity options.
good location and friendly staff”
Koh Kood is great!! If you like to have everything for yourself... I stayed during low season and for 2 days/night me and my gf where the only customers... private beach and helpful staff. Went for diving and motorbike drive around the island. Go to the waterfalls (both)!!! For low season it is a bit a problem that several hotels are closed and several tours are also not avaliable. Perfect for relaxing!!
Nice area with lot of green area and palm tree. Private swimming pool - private small beach - lot of relax place - can play volleyball and do kayaking. Breakfast and restaurant is ok. This place is excellent and perfect if you come in family with children. If you are a solo traveler or in couple as we were, it's better to choose a smaller hotel more intimate without children. I think the Thai house sea view is bit expensive. Again if you are a couple or solo traveler there are better place to stay and cheaper but you have to book very early. 3 weeks before, 70% are already full. For a family this place is ideal. The staff is very friendly. For a solo traveler or couple, there are better alternative but the place will not dissatisfied you
Left entirely unhappy”
Staff weren't helpful and pretty lazy. Receptionist offered confusing payment details regarding bike. Cleaning forgot to do basic checks like towels. Hotel itself is somewhat nice and clean but not worth the price at all. Wouldn't return.
good test foods and service
Perfect place/beach/Food/and Relaxing”
Hi, we went to Kohkood Beach resort and spa 2 nights with my family. My husband and my son really love this place. The room really great. The bathroom open top, you can see the blue sky and coconut trees. I booked 2 sea view rooms and normal room at the back. I think the normal room can see the ocean too. If you dont mind you can book the normal room. The place really nice with coconut trees. I love it. I read the commemt about the food and got jnformation that this resort wasn't serve good. Its not ture!! The food are good. Well cooking. I saw many people from outside to enjoy their foods. I love all about this place, only one thing need to improve is water in my room(B4). Its really slow.
This hotel close to the beach! If you need time to break from you hard work I really recommend this. Food and drink is awesome! They have a cocktail time between 5.30pm-6.30pm and 9pm-10pm which buy 1 get 1 free, don't miss it!
Nice resort at a perfect spot”
We booked despite earlier reviews complaining about cleanliness and difficult procedures like deposits etc. The place we had was big, clean and well maintained. The sofas (!) in our huge living room were clean but had some stains which were not removable. Arguing about that would just ruin the fabulous view and experience on an island to positively come back to, our stay was way too short. Koh Kood is so far the best island we have been to in the Gulf of Thailand.
Location, room, staff and amenities are good. Weather was not good, but it is the rainy season. Did not like being asked for a 500 baht deposit on arrival, especially as we had already paid through Agoda - this is a nasty practice that seems to have crept in over recent years and creates a bad feeling. The room was attractive and generally quite clean, but our bed had a smell of urine. The staff promptly changed the bedding, but the smell persisted, so we suspect it was the mattress. We would stay again, but in the high season when there is more to do.
Terrible place, and beware: room details are completely WRONG on Agoda! ”
Well, this was a huge disappointment. We booked a "seaview villa" that was supposed to have a SEAVIEW and 52 squaremeters. In reality, you can't see the sea almost at all!! The room is about 100 meters away from the beach and between the room and the sea there are lots of other buildings, trees etc., so expect NO seaview! When we asked the receptionist about this, they said that the seaview is just the name for the room. Ok... next, we asked why the room is very small, perhaps 15 squaremeters, when we paid for 52? They said it's wrong on Agoda and also other places on the island put whatever number there, counting toilets, balconies etc. What a scam! Internet did not work at all. I don't mean it was just bad - it did not load even the first page during the whole stay! There were two safety boxes in the room, one of them they couldn't get open even after many requests, and the other one was way too small to store a laptop or much else. The locks in the doors were all broken. When we were leaving the room for the first time, I noticed that you can just pull the LOCKED door open as the lock wouldn't hold! I asked them to fix it, and they did... after the whole lock broke into pieces and fell to the floor the next day after I had locked it and just tried lightly with my hand if the lock now holds or not..! So nice to leave your stuff here and stay the night, did not feel safe AT ALL! The lock in the bathroom was broken as well, but we didn't even bother complaining about it. There was just so much wrong with this place. The breakfast was quite terrible and by 9am there was nothing left and you had to specifically ask the staff for more food, fry more bacon etc. and wait until your coffee was already cold... Perhaps the biggest disappointment, however, was the "beach". It is kind of beautiful, but very, very small, perhaps 20-30 meters wide. Well, I though that's enough for me and was going to go for a swim, but there was lots of jellyfish on the beach, so that
