The big open grass field is great to run around in and the views from the Bali Houses are exceptional.

A slice of paradise.”
We spent 3 nights at the Koh Kood Beach Resort, and we loved every minute of it. There aren't too many rooms, so it's not crowded and every room is afforded a beautiful view of the sea. The rooms themselves are quite basic - bed, fridge, TV and an outside bathroom, which is cool for looking at the stars, but not so good if you don't like dealing with creepy-crawlies in the middle of the night. The staff at Koh Kood Beach Resort are excellent! They are friendly and helpful - they can also arrange for a trip to the waterfall in the area, which is cheap and definitely worth a look (the nicest waterfall I have seen so far in Thailand) The beach is so-so, but if you have the energy, a 20 minute (free)kayak ride will get you to a true 'paradise beach' - no rocks, no little jellyfish, no rubbish - just soft white sand and crystal clear water (you'll have it all to yourself if you go early enough!) My 8 year old son loved the swimming pool, which ranges from very shallow to 2 metres, so you must supervise kids, but it's clean and overlooks the ocean. Lastly, I'll mention the restaurant. The food in the hotel is fantastic! A word of warning - there are, at the moment of writing, no ATMs on Koh Kood, so make sure you take plenty of cash! I'd say that Koh Kood is like a lot of places in Thailand used to be like 10-15 years ago... Great!
Dream Vacation”
this place was gorgeous. we live in bangkok and we're looking for a destination not too far from the city for a 4 day long weekend. koh kood and the koh kood beach resort were perfect. the bungalows are beautiful and you get the best of both worlds: modern place with a lovely beach view. we've stayed at a lot of bungalow style places in thailand from backpacker to high end and this was one of the best. each has it's own porch overlooking the ocean and infinity pool and there are huge sliding glass doors so you can enjoy the view from your bed. also, the sliding doors are well tinted so you can keep the curtains open and enjoy the view at all times. the staff is also very attentive and the food was good (albeit a little on the farang side, so if you're used to spice, let them know). food and extras (massages ect) are on par with the prices you'd assume for this class of resort. a bit more expensive but that's typical for an island. they also include round trip transport for the pier... other than that, we only left the place once, it was so nice! motorbike rentals are 400 baht a day ($13) and the island is pretty easy to get around even if you're a beginner. over all, amazing stay.
Beautiful resort on a fantastic island”
Koh Kood is a gorgeous island that not many people know about. Great place to get away from the tourist hordes and enjoy some quiet time on the beach. Koh kood beach resort (kkbr) has a good beach, but much better are a shirt scooter ride away. Kkbr does have a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the beach and the ocean that we watched the sunsets from. The restaurant is only ok, and the breakfast was not great. Much better food can be found for much lower prices just down the road. Our room, a Bali room, was perfect. Large glass doors that opened wide to embrace the sun and breeze, with great views of the ocean and park like grounds of the resort. The restroom is outside, but private. It was interesting taking a shower in the rain. I highly recommend kkbr for anyone looking for some quiet time on the beach with their significant other.
The Perfect Koh Kood Experience”
Koh Kood Beach Resort went above and beyond to make our trip memorable! I took my mother here for a week getaway and were blown away of our great the staff was. The rooms are clean, outdoor shower was a delight, the pool was cooooool, the food (especially breakfast) was delicious and reasonably priced, and the private beach was a nice getaway from crowded beaches. This place is perfect for both couples and families. I just wish we would have stayed longer. The big open grass field is great to run around in and the views from the Bali Houses are exceptional. Nothing bad to say about this resort. Highly recommend staying here.
Paridise on Earth”
I have just finished my stay at Koh Kood Beach Resort and simply put... It is paradise!!! I live in Thailand and had my family come to visit so took them to Koh Chang for 10 nights then onto Koh Kood for 5 nights.... It is the best island I have been to so far in Thailand and to this date the best place I have ever seen! It is set in beautifully kept gardens, full of coconut trees. The pool is of large size and overlooks the sea... It is amazing in every way view wise. And you know what they say: Location, Location, Location! It is set in the most stunning surroundings I have had the privilege to stay in... It was that nice the day I arrived back in Bangkok I booked to go back again in April.
Wonderful experience, Perfect location”
Had a fantastic time staying at Koh Kood beach resort and I will recommend it to anyone traveling to Thailand in the future, the facilities and the location were top notch including a beautiful large swimming pool overlooking the private beach. This resort is built for total relaxation and peacefulness in mind and that is exactly what you get. We loved it and will definitily return here again. The staff were all friendly and helpful too.
Amazing holiday!”
We loved our holiday at the Koh Kood Beach Resort! It was a beautiful resort and beautiful island. The thing that made our holiday the best however were the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. Our kids had the best time because of the staff. The care and attention they gave to us and our children was priceless. We can’t wait to go back next year.
Fantastic island resort to relax and enjoy the sea”
We wish our holiday could last longer and we had more time in Koh Kood Beach Resort. This is a very clean hotel with very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Watching sunsets at the sea while swimming in the pool was amazing. Diving center is located next to the hotel and we could snorkel directly at the beach.
Most relaxing holiday i have ever had”
Koh Kood beach resort offered everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. Great little private beach. Nice swimming pool. Massages overlooking the ocean. Motorbike hire to let you explore all the island has to offer, including 3 waterfalls, 3 fishing villages and cultural delights.
Great resort”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at koh Kood beach resort. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The views were great and the resort was clean. The pool was fantastic and clean with great views over the beachfront.
great resort - very friendly - awesome for kids”
We had a lovely stay at this resort. The staff made us feel so welcome. My little boy of four years loved it here. The beach area was a littel small but the rocky bay allowed for loads of fantastic snorkelling. The swimming pool was gorgeous and teh grounds kept immaculate. Ko Kood is a quiet island , not hals as commercialised as other islands in this group. We hired a moto from teh hotel and spent a day traveeling to other beaches and resorts. We ended up thinking that we had a very good deal with our hotel and were told by many locals that our staff are teh happiest on teh island. A great stay - we will return
Relaxing Island Resort”
Surely one of the best resorts on the island! Fantastic resort, very clean with a great helpful staff. Food is - as usual on Koh Kood - rather expensive but it's delicious. Outstanding breakfast buffet (you could eat for a whole day!), great pool area, happy hour with cocktails every night. Close contact to dive center, which offers fantastic diving trips, also for beginners. Thank you! We had a really good stay!
good location and friendly staff”
Koh Kood is great!! If you like to have everything for yourself... I stayed during low season and for 2 days/night me and my gf where the only customers... private beach and helpful staff. Went for diving and motorbike drive around the island. Go to the waterfalls (both)!!! For low season it is a bit a problem that several hotels are closed and several tours are also not avaliable. Perfect for relaxing!!
Nice resort at a perfect spot”
We booked despite earlier reviews complaining about cleanliness and difficult procedures like deposits etc. The place we had was big, clean and well maintained. The sofas (!) in our huge living room were clean but had some stains which were not removable. Arguing about that would just ruin the fabulous view and experience on an island to positively come back to, our stay was way too short. Koh Kood is so far the best island we have been to in the Gulf of Thailand.
If I go to Koh Kood again, I will stay at this Resort.”
Beautiful place, friendly staffs, good food and cocktails. We have booked the twin house sea view which I recommend if you go with your friends or family. There is a lots of activities offered in the resort. I will come back here again for my next trip to Koh Kood.
Nice resort and service with hospitality and smile”
there are 5 girls in our group. we got there a little early and the hotel helped arranging speedboat for us. there are 8-10 service people there but they're all nice and kind. every morning we have got out 5 tables arranged properly before we came. how nice. since koh kood is a quiet island then the service boy came to us and recommended where to go and also arramged things for us.
Family vacation ”
The beach resort is amazing. We stayed in the Thai rooms which are cute, but quite small. Love the bathroom even though it's without a rouff. One night we woke up with a huge lizard in our bed.. Not fun. The beach is very child friendly, but the sand full of sand flies.. I got bitten all over and it's not comfortable. The resort is remote from everything even a kiosk to buy a yoghurt or whatever you are lack of. The food isn't that great and not much to choose from, so you have to rent a taxi to take you out to eat. We went to pizza and pasta an amazing good Italian restaurant. We also went to mangrove to dine and it was great. Koh kood is a island still a little untouched which makes it a great visit. I would recommend the hotel Peter Pan or away though. Beautiful as well and with a chance of going to a restaurant or kiosk or getting laundry done outside the hotel.
Holidays in paradise ”
we stayed for 5 nights and had a great time. the resort offers free kayaks, mountain bikes, snorkel gear and dvds! pool was great with a nice view and it is one of only a few on koh kood! the team was great and fun and really helpful! breakfast was ok, food in general good but a bit pricey for what it is, but i guess prices were similiar to other hotel restaurants on the island and prices are in general higher on the island, so it was ok. all in all we were really happy with our stay and we would recommend this resort!
Very good ”
We opted for the family house , pricy but absolutely worth the money . Two big rooms , terrace overlooking the sea and a private jacuzzi . We have been to Koh Kood several times but this place is one of the best on the island . Good location , good restaurant , nice swimmingpool and very well maintained . Friendly people and very helpfull . We where the only guest in the resort at the time as it was (very) low season but still everything was fine .
Great apart from mice in our room - Bali House 4”
It's hard to review Koh Kood Beach Resort fairly. The pool was great, the setting was good - sunset is spectacular, and you can watch it from the pool, and the food was fine. The staff were friendly - if extremely laid back, bordering on lazy. No one is coming to collect used glasses or ask if you want another drink - you go to the bar to collect yourself, and if you want your food anywhere other than the restaurant be prepared to carry it yourself - - but they are friendly. However, on the 2nd night our room was invaded by mice, a mother and baby. It took us a while to work out where the noise was coming from and then we saw them - scrambling along the edge of the ceiling. This was about 2 am. We identified holes that had been patched over - it's obviously a long running problem. We also blocked up the holes the nice were using that night. We tried to scare them away, but the noise was incessant. We got no sleep. Next morning we told the guy on the desk, who shrugged. The manager was off island and would be back later. he or she did answer the phone when called but "had bad reception" and would be in touch... We were leaving so at his request left our email - we were promised a same day response. 3 days later and we are still waiting. It's not the mice I mind so much as the total lack of apology, and the fact that from the evidence of patched up holes in the bamboo they have failed to address a long running problem. The setting is great but the hotel clearly lacks strong management, which generally means there is no consistent guest experience.
