Beautiful quiet location”

The Koh Kood Paradise Beach Resort was exactly as we had hoped it would be. Quiet with a lovely beach. We booked an ocean front cottage which was expensive but worth it to wake up each day and see the ocean. The resort is remote and you need to rent a motorbike to get around. We tried walking into the village for dinner one night and it was very dark, hot and about 1.5 kms. Not worth it. Note: there are two ATMs on the island and one would not work with our North American card. Apparently the other would but we didn’t get to it. The resort has a lovely pool, kayaks, and 1 stand up paddle board. The bay is quiet and the water is warm so no need to swim anywhere else. There are poolside chairs, beach chairs and massage and gym on site. The hotel booked a snorkel trip to another island which was well worth it.

Outstanding value for anyone with reasonable expectations”

The review score for Paradise is solid, but I noticed that a lot of the lengthier English reviews skewed negative. After my 4 night stay, I'm convinced that a) complainers tend to be more loud and b) there were probably some legit issues that have indeed been addressed by management. The location is fantastic. You're on a pristine beach, with one of the longer piers on the island. It's quiet, but there is some life, and you'll make friends if you hang by the outdoor bar. The shop by the pier is a huge plus compared to many other resorts; we went twice a day for items we needed. The pool is one of the largest pools on Koh Kood, overlooking the beach, and it's usually empty. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well kept. The rooms are clean and fully functional. Considering price, we were extremely happy with all that "Paradise" has to offer. Try dinner at either, or better yet both, of the resorts next to Paradise; Shantaa and Me Dee.

True paradise”

Wonderful stay at Koh Kood Paradise beach. The hotel is very nice and design, the rooms perfectly cleanabd the staff very helpful. After exploring a bit the island we found the location and beach are really ideal (very quiet place yet not too far from lively areas, and the beach is huge and the view wonderful). The only two little downsides are the breakfast (not extraordinary but good nonetheless) and the fact that our room was an apartment in a building and not in an independent house as we had expected from the photos). Other than that it was perfect!

One of the nice accomodations in Koh Kood”

I got upgraded room during my 3-day stay in the hotel. The room is nice, clean, and comfy. What I like in particular is gym and food. This hotel offers variety of food ranging from Thai and western foods, which taste so delicious. The gym equipments are new and clean, those who regularly workout will love it. Kayak is also provided free of charge. Regarding the scenery, this is a good place to watch sunset. Koh kood Paradise beach contained 200 meters long beach front, so it's quite nice to walk.

Wonderful island and stay”

Koh Kood is a stunning place. Relatively unspoiled and beautiful. Paradise beach is not a cheap option to stay (opposed what we normally stay in). However the location is right on the wonderful beach, the bungalow was wonderful (clean, large, new), the pool was great. We hired a scooter all 4 days (350 b per day), which you really need if you like to go somewhere. I don't think the breakfast was great, we always had lunch and diner in other places. The staff at the reception could be a little friendlier. Other than that great place.

Lovely place on the beach”

We stayed here 16-20 apr and we had a really good time, most likely choose again this resort if ever come back n Koh Kood (great island too). The resort is litterally on the beach and will provide everything you need. The bungalow is very spacious with huge bathroom and shower. Everything is clean (just some ants all over the place but that's understandable...you are living on the beach...!) and well set. The restaurant is nice and tasty, breakfast is good enough to begin a wonderful day. Swimming pool is very nice too and the private beach is extremely lovely (even if not the best on the island). As resident in the resort, you have kayak for free all daytime. There is a massage service near the swimming pool and a small gym (both not tested). The resort have also a scooter renting service for 350 baht/day (the veichles are new and well kept...you will need good brakes!). They have also a minimart just in front of the reception for every need. All summed up is a very lovely place!!!

Almost 5 star resort on the beach”

Paradise has built its own private village as a beach garden complete with wooden raised walkways. Everything on Koh Kood is more expensive than most Thai venues, but this resort gives real value for the money. It’ll be 5 start-worthy when they give up cutting cost on breakfast and provide one that is fitting for this lovely little paradise.

Amazing place”

I can’t stress how amazing this place was. We stayed two nights here and two nights at high seasons. The swings on the beach were better here, and there seemed to be less flies/mosquitos than at High Season. Don’t get me wrong, high seasons was pure luxury but this place is just as good. I would have been fine staying here the whole trip. The staff is super helpful and friendly, very down to earth. Drinks are anywhere from 200-250 baht. You can rent a scooter from them for 350 baht a day and I highly recommend it. Lots of dogs and my girlfriend even liked the beach here better than the one at high season. If you are coming to koh kood stay here!

Very nice resort”

accommodation on Koh Kood is generally little more expensive that other islands, this resort has a lovely beach and everything you need. ( Strange colour orange tiled pool makes the water look orange, can be off-putting ), like most resorts on Koh Kood you cannot walk anywhere so hired motorbike as you need to if you want to see the island. Koh Kood has some superb beaches. Super restaurant at the next resort the other side of the pier. I would stay there again.

Nice hotel but some things need updating”

I did enjoy my stay here at Koh Kood Paradise Beach. The room was nice and the bed was comfy but the massive downside of the room is the terrace of the hut. There is nothing to do on this island in the evening so after your evening meal it would be nice to chill on the terrace of the hut and have a few beers but we couldn't do that because they had no chairs to sit on, but there was a concrete bench which was impossible to sit on for more than 5-minutes, which was a bit disappointing. Food could of been better in the restaurant. We were either waiting too long for food or when it came it wasn't cooked properly. This would not put me off staying here again, I just hope that they pick up on these things to improve the hotel.

Great situated hotel but pool and breakfast were not very inviting ”

My impression is that Koh Kod in general lives on old merits. All hotels are old, but this one was clean although the rooms are not the most inviting ones looking if wanting a cosy place. Beach and beach bar is great. A nice area to hang around. Not necessarily children friendly in terms of having no rooms or activities for kids (as is my impression in general in Koh kood). Better to stay in Koh Chang with small kids. There are two grocery stores which is good, and close to “Main Street” with a hospital, some stores and massage. BreKfast could be better. Everywhere are pests, flies, ants, bugs etc. snacking on the food. Pool is not very inviting, should be redecorated in blue. Plus for a gym even if a very small one. Nice hospitality. My recommendation is to try the restaurant on the resort close by. But still, lower the price a bit and this is a good enough hotel.

Overall stay was OK”

Nice property, central location and good view of the beach. Breakfast was good and had many options. Room beds were way too soft for my liking. I think they probably need change. Bathroom shower had little pressure, needs upgrade too. Restaurant food is fine and there is a live band every night. However, the major downside at this resort is sand flies infestation. We had a tough time as me and wife were bitten by hoards of sand flies resulting in itchy bumps all over our legs and feet. Anyway, i think this is a problem with all secluded beaches in koh kood and koh mak. I might skip this resort next time due to this problem.

Great spot on the beach.”

The photos really don't do justice to what is a lovely resort. We enjoyed our stay here considerably but it wasn't perfect. Our room was wonderful but the big disappointment was the food. The chef was supposedly from Koh Chang with years of experience but while the breakfast was good, dinner was disappointing and rated as some of the worse Thai food I have ever eaten. On the positive side when I complained to staff and spoke to the management they did listen but I couldn't believe that blaming the lack of fresh produce as a reasonable excuse when it was obvious that produce was being transferred on the daily ferry. We were given a complimentary dinner voucher which we did use on the last night of our stay however but only because a neighbouring resort's restaurant which actually served better tasting food refused to provide the same level of service that it gave it's staying guests (bottled water). Best to check out other nearby resorts for food.

Great Spot”

Steps from what we think is nicest beach on the island. Our private bungalow had a view of the ocean through a few large coconut trees. Room was perfect - great bed, good air-conditioning, multi-language tv stations, large bathroom and shower. Facility had a workout room and a pool, although we did not use either. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a great and full selection of Thai and traditional food, including a spot to get custom made eggs if you want them. Free use of kayaks, but limited to 2 hours - longer required paymeny. Only downside was the lunch and dinners were overpriced in our view. However lots of inexpensive 'street food' within walking distance. If you don't mind the price, there is a 'finer' dining spot, with better food at the Shantee Resort just next door. Scooters available at the Paradise for 200 baht from 9 am to 9 pm or 350 baht for overnight. We rented twice and both scooters performed perfectly.

One of the best hotel in Koh Kood. Room and accessories are very clean. ”

The beach , swimming pool and garden all very new and clean. Staffs are excellent, polite and efficient. Food are cheap and good quality. We definitely recommend friends and people to come to stay here. We went to stayed another hotel in Bang Boa which were ripped off and misleading. The Paradise beach is perfect hotel.
