Koh Mak Cococape Resort
very nice Hotel. Beautifull pool but die sand beach is little bit to walk”
Very nice Hotel for travel with Children. Nice smal garden with good Restaurant. Staff always nice and symphatik. We travel with Family 2 adult and 2 Boys 6 and 8 years. The nice smal pool was perfekt to relax after Shopping and visiting Koh Mak. The sun set at the afternoon from the blue Pearl bar was fantastic. We will come back, soon.
Nice resort and friendly staff”
The staff were welcoming when we arrived. On the 1st night it was raining and when i was walking to the bar i stepped on scorpion. Staff were very reactive and helpful. There is not much to do on the island but this resort offers several activities : kayak, sailing boat, paddle. You also have a nice bar on the private pier with lovely view. Finally, the restaurant is quite good but a bit expensive (still normal for this kind of resort i guess)
The pier here is just sooooo cool, we literally sat there for hours every day, and great for snorkelling around. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was good. The owner seemed like a really cool guy too. Would defo stay again
We like their bar for its a good place to hangout. Location is good the only thing we don't like is that there is nothing to do in the beach at night unlike other beaches that have fire dancers. Unless you can rent a motorcycle to go out, there are no other restaurants to eat near the resort.
This resort was nice, the breakfast was great, bar on the pier, nice pool, very nice staff, rooms were cleaned and big, the wifi was a little bit slow in further bungalows but in total it was worth it. The location was also great, but the beaches were big disappointment on entire Koh Mak. Dirty, shallow in long distance from the beach, mud and stones, plants...Back to the resort. Services were good but expensive, restaurant was also expensive. During the night it was not noisy, only animals were doing noises, but it's ok for some people. Gecons everywhere :)
Well the Resort is for people who love to watch lovely sunset . the pier on wooden bridge is the best . can sit and relax . the rooms are ok . The staff is nice and caring . i missed my laptop bag at resort and the staff was very courteous to get it delivered at Koh chang . Big thumbs up for the staff
Everything was very nice - except the treatment in the Restaurant. We ordered dinner but the waiter (man with hat) was VERY unfriendly and incompetent! We did not get what we ordered and portions were very small. Also other guests complained … The next evening we went by taxi outside for dinner … the better choice! I want to say that all other staff (reception, bar, …) was very friendly and helpful!
Amazing location but staff doesnt care much. ”
The Location is beautiful. View from the pier is stunning. However the staff is not service oriented and even a bit unfriendly. We rented a kayak and there was something wrong with it and it just filled up with water and we almost sunk on the open sea (lucky the speedboat took us back) - staff didn’t care at all - we were quite shocked. The beach to the right has Sandflies - if you see them go - horrible itchy.
Nice seaside villa”
We stayed in Rin View villa for 3 nights in February 2018. Pros and cons listed below. + Lovely resort area, but no direct beach access. The pier walk and bar at the end makes up for this to some extent. + Very helpful and friendly staff, they're happy to help with booking a boat back to Koh Chang / Trat. + Nice and clean room. - Bed was awful, way too hard. - Breakfast needs more options, as other reviews have cited in the past.
Good place that we came back for the second time, but some guests made very loud noise at the swimming pool this time which kind of ruined our stay. The chef who made western food also wasn't there, so there was only Thai food available. Luckily, the resort staff helped us getting a taxi for a ride to the nice pizza place.
A larger though not new resort. Rooms vary greatly, as they have many styles of accommodations. I choose a less expensive bungalow right on the sea. It was about what I expected. Staff was good, facilities good, with good breakfast as well.
Good value for money”
If you are looking for a sand beach, this is not the resort for you. That doesn't make the resort any bad though. There are a few bungalows right next to the sea so you can have lovely sea view from your bed, feeling that the sea is right below you. Even though the beach is rocky, there is a long wooden pier with swimming possibilities. There is also a nice little bar at the end of the pier. Resort has also a small swimming pool with a small bar. Breakfast buffet was good and decent enough to start your day. Wifi worked well around all areas of the resort. Staff was helpful and friendly. A bit remote location but still able to walk to two other beaches nearby and also possible to rent a motorbike. I can recommend this place, good value for money.
great staff and sunset pier”
As a solo traveler sometimes your health suffers and being alone can be a scary proposition. The staff here were wonderful when I had a rough few days. Add the amazing pier at sunset and the quiet location and the variety of rooms for all then this hotel gets high praise. Yes a bit tired in places but charming. proposition.
Just wow! This is not a fancy or plush hotel but it oozes with character and charm. It has a large variety of room types (and prices), each one unique. All the rooms are spread around a hill set into the bush or directly on the water. There are three areas for sitting around and relaxing, all with great views, but each with it's own charm: (1) the main restaurant area is beside the water with wooden furniture and friendly staff, and the food is excellent; (2) the infinity pool is very nice and has a small concrete water slide down a natural slope, which is fun for all ages and it includes areas suitable for young children; and (3) the pier has a bar on it and plenty of chairs, plus is a good place to snorkel from. The pier is really unique, offering something unique to all other hotels (although is unsafe for very young children). There is also a beautiful, secluded beach 2 minutes past the pier around the point.
cosy hotel in koh mak. roos are very stylish and morden, good ideas with bath in the terrase and great view from room. free internet and staff. beach is not good so need to go to another side of the island to swim
nice, cosy hotel in koh mak. good staff. fantastic disign rooms with tropical atmosphire!pool with slide, tasty fruit shake in bar. but not so good beach, better to go to another one. breakfast was nice. i recomendate this hotel for family holiday. free internet.
Lovely hotel on a stunning location”
Great service. Room need doing a bit as there is no mosquito mesh in the bathroom. However, when ask the hotel staffs they came to fix it immediately. It was very impressive. Offered the best hotel food so far compare to all of hotels we ever been in Thailand.
Nice hotel. A little worn out here and there but overall clean and nice. The restaurant is fine with decent prices for a hotel. Snorkeling with lot of fish in front of pier makes it ideal for younger kids. We stayed with a 6 & 7 y. o. Would be happy to stay again.
Poor cusromer service”
My boyfriend and I tried reaching the property several times tocancel as we were in a near tragic accident. We were staying on Koh Kut when the motorbike accident occurred, and the amazing people at Cham's House evn tried contacing Cococape as well. theyz did not refund us our stay, and we stayed in a hospital for a week.
We stayed at Moonlight room. Room were comfortable and cozy with bunkbed and big sofa. Big bathroom and big space for store your luggages. In front of the room is hammock and chair, were cozy to sit/lay down to relax. There are little beach here, not super view but nice to swim and snorkeling. Also at the pier! Excellent place to snorkeling. Staffs are really nice and friendly. This resort has everything you need. Good food and not so expensive at their seaside restuarant. And the bar at the pier has amazing view! They provide Taxi, rent motorbike, boat trip or kayak if you need! And if you would like to go out without taxi or motorbike, it's walkable distance to walking street that has many more restuarants, bars and minimart. We recommend Koh Mak art house if you like to drink in cozy atmosphere! One thing we didn't like so much is resort is really quiet at night and some guests made loud noise like turn on their speaker! that all resort can hear and staffs said nothing to them!
