Great experience”
Very nice resort, great size accomodation with A/C, the swiming pool is great with beautifull vuew on the beach. The staff is very welcoming and giving their best to always help. I really liked their position against the plastic that is a real problem in thailand, keep doing that it is crucial to keep your paradise!! We spend few days in sivalay and to be honnest we had a much better in the Riviera. I really recomand this resort!

Nice place”
Very nice view from the room. Less than 50m to the beach. During high tide the boat can send u straight to the resort. No need to go to jetty. Easy to go to nearby restaurant and shop. But please go during high season. (january-june). Means the weather are good and more tourist come. last time i went there during low season. Only our family at the resort and the cafe at resort are closed. Need to go to nearby restaurant and shop to eat. During low season also cannot snorkelling or diving. Dont went there wrong time like me. 🤣🤣🤣

Nice hotel on a quiet island”
Beachfront resort with everything you can ask for. Close to the walking street where you can find shops and tour vendors. Helpful staff.

Well overall ”
I am writing a review here on behalf of thai traveller. The location here was good, it was in front of the beach but you have to choose beachfront room. In my case, I chose beachfront family suite which had one king size bed downstair and two single bed upstair. The house had many space. There was many facilities and some you could ask for such as hair dryer and more towels. The staff was local and very friendly and provided useful information that you could ask for. During my stay they still suffered from COVID-19 so there was almost no guest and no breakfast available but there was local shop walkable nearby. The resort also had a pool but not a standard pool. I recommended coming there on Nov-Apr so you won't be affected by monsoon.

Very good”
The room price is fare. The facilities are less maintained. After the covid-19 remedy, the room should be re-newed

staff were very kind”
although we were the only guest in the hotel at that time, they were very nice and even didn't understand English, the gut on the phone helped us very much.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a quiet place with no frills this resort is fine”
This resort was very simple and near the village. The breakfast was ok. We didn't eat any lunches or dinners there. We choose to have dinner at other resorts within a short walk on the beach 🌴. Having stayed at several other islands in Thailand, I don't think that I would return here. But, it was fine for a 4 night retreat from our home in Chiang Rai to learn about other islands.

Muslims praying at night”
Muslims praying nearby at night is really noisy. Otherwise beachfront bungalows are ok but overpriced. Beach is one of the best near Sivalai and food is the best at the Perfect Bar.

Only stay in beach front units”
Originally checked into a villa. It was extremely disappointing. Ants everywhere, sketchy stair case, run down and birds living in the roof and pooping all over. I actually got crapped on walking into my place. After one night we asked to move to different units. There were newer ones along the beach front. They were far better. Still missing details like places to rinse your feet and sound proofing between the two floors wasn't great. There appeared to be no or minimal grounds keeping. The place was sun pat for sure. I'd recommended spending a bit more for something far nicer.

Deserted”
Very good location but a very poor and run down resort. Feelt like a ghost resort. Pool area with a small saltwater pool and some sunbeds with old and broken pads. Beach not accessible due to tide but good beach at Sivalai a short walk from the resort. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Overpriced rooms.

Dilapidated hotel needs work”
Staff where friendly and nice but the hotel was definitely in need of some work. The first rooms we where in didn't fit are needs and they moved us free of charge which was nice. For the money though I would spend a few more baht and stay some where a little more up to date.

Disastrous”
The resort is basically abandoned, no food served, the beach is not cleaned and full of garbage. The location is great but not it doesn't compensate the rest.

Reasonable price but need more attension ”
The hotel is okay not too bad. The grassed were grown everywhere so the bugs were biting me and myfriend. My friend had more than 20 bug bites. The room was okay but shampoo and bath soap were not filled up from the clean up. The staffs are nice but bugs are the main issue.

Disappointed ”
The beach front of resort are dirty and is not suitable for swim. The room rate of beachfront are not worth also without breakfast included, it's not such a good beach compare with others. The whole island, only Pearl Beach & Garnet Beach can be swim. We spent 3 nights here, around the resorts cannot saw any staffs, the only way is direct give a phone call thru the owner who willing to help us if any request. The environment of resort are not clean except the room. Agoda.com photo are not up-to-date, the room & environment status are different once we are arrived.

This property only as a last choice option ”
We chose the family villa. On arrival it looked ok but the place is run down.. Staff were very good and friendly other than annoyed we got there around 5:30pm as they close the restaurant and reception at 5pm. Don’t choose the included breakfast option as it’s a very very poor bacon and eggs. Don’t sign up for any tours or transport from there either they are around 25% more expensive well thats what they have put on as there cut. The rooms are 2 star at best I would put them as a great place for a back packer with money. The internal staircase is very narrow I’m 95 kilos and 6foot tall and I struggled to fit in them as well as past them when going in and out of the bathroom. The top part of the staircase is very very dangerous the steps are very steep and way to far apart so coming down them is dangerous. The sliding doors didn’t really slide. The beds would be the worst beds we have slept on in any place in Thai in the last 10 years and my wife is Thai who grew up sleeping on t naun.

No worth”
The door can not lock, it’s really uncomfortable. The toilet and other facilities are quite old. The building seems like still under construction. The ceiling of the bathroom was not install properly.

Like a desolate movie set”
Koh Mook is an anti climax I stay in Thailand, and Ive been to a large number of Islands east and west side of the country, some cluttered with over tourism, some quiet and nothing around. This resort par others I passed through, all have rundown building, half finished construction, sewage and desolate and ruined villas, apartments, and to talk about the amount plastic waste/pollution on the beaches. The toilet was a broken sink, a hole in the ground shower, the sofa had a large hole in it, the bed pillow were dirty and the towels were probably worn out from the 1990s. There is one resort on the peninsula of where a vast number of hotels are, that is run by a hotel company or they have a proper hospitality management company running the show, as that was clean, well kept and clean, as was there beach area. Thats were to stay if I was you, but to be honest Koh Mook in general is an Island that is not looked after or kept clean., plus we didnt get the room that was purchased.

Not value for money!”
The resort is rundown. The fridge in our room didn’t work. The hot water in the shower didn’t work. The bed springs could be felt through the hard, uncomfortable mattress, the towels weren’t replaced and the room was poorly cleaned. The grass was long and we saw a very long snake near the rooms. Not impressed at all and definitely would not recommend it.
