Bounty island stay!!”

Great location, isolated, comfortable rooms

The view of Sivalai resort when you arrive with a boat is just AMAZING! Like you're entering a bounty island! The location is definitely the biggest asset of this hotel. Besides that, it offers everything that you could expect from a high end resort: - An excellent room: spotless, spacious, stylish surrounded by a big terrace with sunbeds - Good service: daily cleaning of the room, putting down the musquity net by night, carrying your bags from the boat the room, staff that is always helpful & smiling - An 'all you can wish for' breakfast Some remarks & suggestions: - The food in the hotel is relatively pricy and not better in quality/taste than elsewhere. We preferred eating in a local restaurant, like Boon Chu Cuisine. - For smart excursion or (boat)transport deals take a 5 min. walk to the local shops (there's a path at the end of Sivalai resort that leads you there). The local shops offers much better deals than the hotel. And they can also pick you up in front of the resort. We made some good deals with Mr. Bow of supermarket PK. - Koh Mook is not a vibrant island... which is also a pro if you really want to relax and stay somewhere isolated. But don't expect a variety of restaurants or fancy bars. The only beach bar we found was 'Charlies Beach Bad' on the Had Farang beach (10 min. by tuktuk, 50 baht per person) and this bar closed at 6.30 pm!

Luxury nature bungalows on white sand beach”

Location, bungalows right on the beach, adapted to nature, outstanding front desk staff

Our favorite resort: We have stayed at Koh Mook Sivalai Beach 3 times the last 13 months and are returning later this year. Some people have returned 40 times, Mr. Somchai has created a fantastic nature luxury resort adapted to Nature. One story bungalows built by local natural materials right on the beach. The white squeaking sand on the East side of the peninsula is cleaned every day. Our compliments And my compliments to Thavorn and the Frontdesk staff who are outstanding helpful at all occations. The pool, restaurant and reception are placed on the peak of peninsula. The sandy peninsula is like the famous Zlati Rat in Croatia, but at Savalai there is soft white sand, no pebbles and no crowds. Best of all, you can stay in bungalows directly on the beach. In the morning you can see a beautiful sunrise. We appreciate the restaurant offering different buffets several times a week as an alternative to the ala carte menu. Like most Norwegians we like red and white wine, available in the restaurant. We miss a red and a white house wine, also available as carafe and/or as glasses.

Perfect experience”

The beach, the beach villa, service

We stayed in total four nights in Sivalai beach villa. I must say that Sivalai is definitely the best hotel and place to stay in Koh Mook. Located on definitely the best beach on the island. It is calm, with the perfect beach, clean villas (they clean everyday, change the linen, towels, clean the toilet, etc...) and they even clean the beach everyday! Massage in Koh Mook is quite expensive and so it is also in Sivalai, but it is also good and the best part, you can have it in your own room without extracharge. I definitely recommend to choose the beach front villa, rather than the villa with the gardenview or seaview or what it is called, not sure. The beach villa is definitelu worth the money! Enjoy! Ps. During the low season(we traveled in the end of october) the weather was hot and the pricetag reasonable.

wonderful beach paradise with friendly staff”

lovely beach, extremely friendly and helpfull staff, great food, nice bungalows

we had a wonderfull honeymoon at koh mook sivalai beach resort, and extended our planned four day stay to eight. the staff was unusually attentive, extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. we couldn't have asked for a better stay, and hope we will have the opportunity to come back. the only small complaint we have is that the long tail boats in the area are of the noisy kind (car engines without muflfers). it took us a couple of days to get used to the heavy noise when the fishing boats were passing by (especially in the night / early morning). the long tail boats owned by the resort, however, were not noisy, so no risk for hearing loss during day trips with these

best resort on koh mook island ”

location, service

we stayed as a couple at Sivalai beach for three days and were given an up grade to a very large family room , however it was at the end of the beach, but gave us the opportunity to be close to the village, with a short walk down a fantastic beach to the resort centre. The resort its self sits on a fantastic part of koh mook, with a white sandy beach on both sides, offering a great service with value for money special evening meal nights and a large choice for your breakfast from 0700-1000hrs each day. Your accommodation is well maintained each day, and the beach is cleaned early morning. To conclude we enjoyed this resort, easy to get to by long tail boat, or short trip with a took took from charlie beach where you will get dropped of when arriving. If you are looking for value for money day trips or transfer walk down the main beach and you will come to the pier, at the enterence you will find Mr yongs travel agency. Enjoy.....we did

location, great beach, wonderful scenery, hospitality of resort's staffs
shower - water pressure seems too weak

my vacation at Koh Mook Sivalai was really amazing. it's everything that i expected. Everything at this resort has completed and fulfilled my needs. Resort is charming. The location is perfect right on the white-sandy beach. Beach is the best and good for swim. Water is crystal clear - emerald and turquoise color. The location is remote, quite, peaceful and private which was exactly what i needed. Definitely it's perfect place to relax and unwind. Another outstanding quality at Koh Mook Sivalia is - warm and welcoming hospitality from resort's staff. they are very friendly, service oriented, and do their jobs with the smile. I had a wonderful time here and certainly will visit again

Stunning place. Good beachfront bungalows. ”

Location, white sandy beach, fantastic staff.

My first thought was wow when we came in by boat. Clear blue sky, white sandy beach and turquoise water. We felt very welcomed as we set our feet on the ground. Great place for couples and families with small children. The Beach Villa Superior sea view was a great choice for us as we love to live beachfront. Food was great, staff was great. We had trip with longtailboat from Sivalai two days. The driver was so nice and showed us the best snorkling sites both around Koh Mook and Koh Kradan. If its one thing to complain about is that the spa staff mixed up our bookings. I can really recommend Sivalai Beach Resort. We will for sure come back again this summer.

Amazing desert island getaway!”

stunning setting, great rooms, impeccable service
nothing... this is paradise

We absolutely adored this resort and can't wait to go back. It is the only place on a long sand peninsula and the beach on both sides is incredible. The island of Koh Mook is like the island in "Lost" but probably with fewer people There is no ATM, no 7/11, etc... We felt completely away from it all and often had miles of white sand beach to ourselves. The marine life is also plentiful and we loved seeing a huge hermit crab clambering over the sand to us while we ate dinner one night. The food was pretty good considering how remote this place is, and not too expensive. However, we visited Charlie Beach (Tonsai) and thought the food there was better. It is also more convenient as all the boats drop off at Charlie. However, I think the Sivalai setting more than makes up for the extra little bit of hassle to get there. We will definitely be back.

Location and beach amazing”

Location, cleanliness and quiet

We loved our 5 day 4 night stay at Sivalai resort, after exploring the island we found it to be the the nicest accommodation on Koh Mook. Quiet and private place to get away from the crowds and more travelled areas in Thailand (we stayed here in low season August 2014). The rooms are great.. right on the beach, the bathroom is simple. Food at the restaurant was nice but the 17% surcharge was steep. The hill top restaurant was fantastic, cheap food and lovely service... easy to get to by tuktuk (100 Bart each way) Even tho the sunsets on the other side of the island, we got to see the reflection of a amazing sunset. Do the emerald cave after the tour boats have finished (ask some locals)

The place to stay in Koh Mook”

After visiting Koh Mook for the first time, I believe there is no better place to stay than Koh Mook Sivalai Beach resort. Located directly on the best beach of Koh Mook, next to the village, the bungalow are 5 stars comfort. Even 2nd row bungalow offer you a nice view. Absolutely comfortable bungalow, ideal place to chill out. Beds are very comfortable, Air condition, good shower. The restaurant is ok. Good breakfast buffet. The only negative point we had was wifi was not working during our stay. It might have been only during our stay but was not an issue as the hotel is cover with Mobile data. Would stay again there in low season when the prices are reasonable.

Paradise Resort with 2 beaches”

We stayed 4 nights at Sivalai Beach Resort. The Resort is located at the cusp of the Island and therefore you have 2 beaches at the resort. We booked a superia beach villa directly located at the beach. Here we enjoyed the whole day just relaxing and listening to the sound of the sea. The room rates during low season are reasonable. But starting with November the rates nearly double and most expensive is the Christmas season. Anyhow if you want to visit Koh Mook we strongly recommend to stay at Sivalai beach resort.

Koh mook is a fantastic place and the location of sivalai beach resort is amazing. On the downside we got sick from the buffet we at the hotel. If you go to koh mook don't miss to explore other parts of the Island. The inhibitants are so nice and frendly! And the food is great at the small restaurants!

Beautiful resort on Koh Muk!”

This resort sits on a spectacular white sand beach peninsula on the laid back island of Koh Muk. The bungalows were beautiful, clean and comfortable with very effective air conditioning, mosquito nets, and windows and doors which open to reveal the large deck. The large bathroom was not air conditioned but it was not an issue. This is a well operated resort with lovely staff and a good breakfast including thai pancakes, fresh made omelettes and a full assortment of buffet offerings. The staff were very helpful, friendly and responsive with a high attention to detail. It was a quick walk into town to eat at some of the local restaurants. De Tara further along the beach was a particular favourite with their focus on local food with some western offerings and a happy hour. I would highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Koh Muk. We also stayed at Pawapi but Sivalai was by far our favourite.

Great location ”

Staff, food ,beach

This hotel is fantastic and so is the location. You have your own bungalow and your own beach, so it's never super busy even in high season. The staff are incredible, and the food is very fair price wise. The only negative are the beds, which unfortunately are stone hard, and we had trouble getting a really good nights sleep. One issue that has not been written about in the reviews, due to the fact, that it is not the hotels fault, is the fact that due to the location of the hotel, it's surrounded by sea. This shouldn't be a problem at all, except as Koh Mook is a fishing town, the Long tail boats start revving up their motors between 5 and 6 am every morning. ....and it continues all day until around 7pm. Now anyone who has never heard a long tail boats motor before, imagine a Harley Davidson motor glued onto a little boat....that is the sound....and it will wake you every morning. So if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, unfortunately this won't be it....but as I said, this is not the hotels fault. However as tourism gets busier Nd busier in Thailand, something should be done about muffling the long tail boats, as peaceful island holidays, will otherwise be a thing of the past.

Beautiful View, Relaxing, Unique

I really enjoyed my stay at Koh Mook Sivalai. It is a great loacation and at the time we were there in low season, there was not many other people there! The staff could not have been more helpful. The rooms are unique and secluded - this is a great place if you want to take in the beautiful views and relax. It is also a good starting point to explore other islands in the region. Do not miss the Emerald Cave - a highlight.

bungalows were so nice that we were astonished.... very romantic, spacious, equipped with everything you expect from best hotels in europe for a very reasonable price. however, there is big but: koh mook is not very nice, water is dirty (thank to mangroves??), no turist facilities on the island (e.g. shopping street in koh lipe or port area in phi phi), simply nothing to do or go. hotel restaurant is quite expensive so we have walked over the island to the bars close to charlies, which are quite good. overall feeling was that the hotel was excellent and definitely worth of considering if you are sure you really want to visit koh mook. think of ko ngai instead, e.g. in that area
