Best accommodation on the island”
So many good things. 1st - the private beach means that you avoid the hordes of speedo-clad day trippers from Koh Lanta. 2nd - they have the only restaurant over the sea - so beautiful. 3rd - good snorkelling under the pier, and only a short kayak from paradise beach which has a ton of coral. 4th - free snorkel sets and kayaks. 5th - super helpful staff. 6th - salad bar with the buffet breakfast. 7th - free balls to play with in the pool. 8th - fairground games, prizes and fireworks on special occasions. 9th - we checked out the accommodation on the main beach and it all looked a bit rubbish.

Exceptional”
Best service in this hotel’s restaurant. If I would have restaurant, I would ask them to work for me. 😁 We had beach front bungalow and loved it. It’s little old, or I call ”retro”, but it looked very natural and suited to environment. Loved the place and will come back one day.

Resort to ourselves”
Was very quiet as due to it being the off season plus covid. The free kayak and snorkeling gear was fab, staff were very helpful. Thai food from the restaurant was great, is bit more expensive than other areas of Thailand. Is a challenging sort of walk (only 10 mins but you wouldn't want to do it in the dark or if you aren't that mobile) to get to the main beach where all the other resorts and a couple cafes are so it can feel a little cut off in the evenings. Private beach is lovely and had own pier too!

The island got our heart”
Perfect accommodation for a couple nights - the staff is so friendly and they will do everything to make your stay unforgettable - resort has own private beach (main beach 15min walk away) - good restaurant and prices on the same level as the others on Ko Ngai - Thank you so much for this perfect stay - we will definitely see you again!

Gorgeous spot ”
This place is in a perfect spot with a private beach and pool as well as free use of kayaks. The economy rooms are old, but functional. No air conditioning or hot water and no fridge, but a great view of the beach and the islands. Staff and smiling and helpful. One suggestion we have for this hotel, and all hotels for that matter, is to move away from bottled water and provide a water dispenser, so one can refill bottles. The overconsumption of plastic is a huge global concern and is particularly bad here in Thailand.

Good beach and lovely staff. The resort needs updating, though.”
Good choice if you need to keep accommodation costs to a minimum and if a great private beach (beautiful, clear blue sea and nice sandy beach) and excellent staff service is important to you. It's also by the boat pier so very handy for getting there and getting away. Otherwise, the food is very poor and tasteless (especially the breakfast that's included) and the resort itself is in dire need of updating. It's also quite treacherous to walk over to the other (main) beach from this resort. Rooms are spotless and comfortable so no qualms about that. If you can spend a little more, though, then just book a nicer place along the nicer (main, long) beach as there are some gems over there. This is also where the great Camping Restaurant is located (amazing food!!!) and this place also has affordable accommodation which looks cool (raised tents on the beach) so it makes sense to stay where everything is happening. CoCo Cottages also looks like great accommodation and it also has great food, apparently. So Koh Ngai Resort is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde place to stay so it depends on what matters to you, I suppose.

Plenty of shade”
The room had air conditioning which was a big plus. There was plenty of shade and sun loungers which made it very pleasant. The breakfasts were adequate but lacked variety, however the food for lunch and dinner was lovely which was just as well as you could not travel outside the hotel in the dark as the path would be too dangerous in the dark.

Excellent”
Some rooms seemed great, ours was in an older block and could use updating. Generally very clean, but staff never swept. Great beach, ok restaurant. Loved that we could borrow (free) kyaks and snorkeling equipment. To bad it's not really possible to get to the main beach for dinner, but we definitely preferred the quiet and clean sand off the hotel's beach. Best massage I had in Thailand! Wifi is awful. Breakfast buffet is substantial, some food quite good, some meh .

The price is very reasonable but the room is out of date.. it needs renovatIon. The food is good.”
The location is very good, the room is clean but no Long Beach to walk. If you r looking for saving cost, this should be fine.

Nice resort (but quite run-down)”
The resort is nice at first glance, but once you take a closer look you see it hasn't undergone any improvements from the 90's. We had booked the standard aircon room, which really isn't that cheap itself, but when we arrived, we found ourselves in a shabby motel room with practically nothing in it, except a broken closet and bed. So I would recommend taking a more superior room if you're spending more than 1-2 nights there. Otherwise, the staff is very nice and helpful and the breakfast buffet is good with plenty of options. Great playground for kids, nice pool and the best snorkelling beach in the area.

Very good”
Nice resort for its price, but secluded from the other resorts on Koh Ngai. Good for a couple of days, but not for a longer stay

Amazing location but average resort”
The beach was amazing and the views where great! Not that busy at all which was good. Tha downside is that the room and the resort looked and felt very tired, like it would have had its day 20 years ago. The staff where friendly and helpful when needed. The other beach which is a very small walk away and is easy to get to and can be cheaper to eat, the resort restaurant was expensive and most of the food was pre-made, so if you want your curry to be less spicy, forget it as it's one spicy for every one. Other than that good stay for a relax and get away from the busy touristy places.

Value doesn't match the money. ”
It's an ok place to stay for a night but not more than that, we spent 3 night and it was very boring and super expensive. They exploit the fact there is no competition close to the hotel and the prices are double then you'd pay on other islands. The Staff is friendly, the place could use a good maintenance because it is a bit outdated. You should also know that an extra bed for a child is Just two mattreses one on top of the other (and for a whooping 700thb a night it is a ripoff). Be aware that there are usually jellyfish until 2pm in the water close to resort so snorkeling is a pain.

Disappointing ”
Tired resort, poor wifi, extra charges added that were not clear on booking. Unsafe path to get to other part of island.

Above average”
Nice quiet island for relaxation . Fan room decent value for money. No complaints. Food and drinks are expensive but it's a private island so its expected.
