"We spent 4 nights at this very nice resort. The best choise you can make on the wonderful Koh Ngai. Even if there are many rooms in the resort is peaceful and quiet the whole day. In the morning the beach and pool are quite empty. Nice large beach equipped with sun decks ect, pool (with sea water) grate especially if you have children (there is small part, divided for babies). Rooms easy but you are in a such beautiful garden ...... in a middle of a "jungle". Marvelous birds, butterflies .....and some monitor lizards but you have to go to find them (not danger of bumping in one in the pubblic spaces). Easy access to the "main" beach on the isle (not in the evening, but the restaurant on premises is very good at reasonable prices, opened the whole day). Basic but satisfactory free breakfast. Very nice and helpfu staff. Wi-fi so and so (not in the room). Free finns and the snorkeling stuff, free kayak 2 hrs a day (nice and easy trip to Paradise Beach). Variety and quantity of fish !!!!!!!!!!! just in front and close to the pier. Highly recommended. Thanks Koh Ngai Resort ...... "

"Wonderful- v friendly reception staff. Great breakfasts and huge New Year's Eve dinner . Loved our family villa- best accommodation for our family of four in all of Thailand. Hotel is much more luxurious than described online. Love their Blue Lagoon coffee shops and relaxing seating areas! Decor is wonderful all around the public areas! Koh Ngai has a beautiful beach for walking & jogging on, great jungle paths to explore the other side of the island and up to the viewpoints there. Not easy to arrive on the island when the seas are rough as longtail boats cannot get v close to the beach so you will get VERY wet! Waterproof handluggage would be useful! 4days probably enough as no village here but I loved it & would definitely recommend for peace and quiet and lovely hotel!"

"First of all, the Thanya Resort is at the best part of the beach apart from the even more southern Koh Ngai Resort, but from there you'd have to cross the cliff every time you want to go to any other place on the island. The Thanya is a lovely place to spend a week or two, with a great pool, wonderful graden, very polite staff and a terrific beach and view. The bungalows are okay and satisfyingly clean (the occasional ants and a lizard or two are probably not avoidable in this climate), the shower is rather basic though. The mattresses are pretty firm but we slept very well.. The restaurant is good but not great, especially the burgers could be better. A bit pricey overall. The breakfast is okay, but it can become boring after a while (no bread apart from toast, for example, no cheeses or sliced sausage, and the croissants are rather bland). Omelette to order was good. The price for the accommodation is justified. Koh Ngai as a destination overall isn't cheap but it's worth it. "

"Found out about this new resort thanks to a previous comment posted on Agoda. So glad we booked there. Brand new concrete bungalow with beach/turquoise sea view, super comfy (and new) mattress. No AC or hot water, but never felt we needed those. Most of the time we didn't even need the fan, as there was a great breeze coming from the sea (mosquito screens on the windows, so you can sleep with windows open no problem). Very good onsite restaurant, resort well taken care of by the very nice family in charge, reef perfect for snorkeling right out front… We ended up staying longer than we had planned, as this was exactly what we were looking for. If you want a simple but clean and bug-free bungalow right on this paradisiac beach at a reasonable cost (Koh Ngai is an expensive island compared to other places in Thailand), I heartily recommand this place."
