Our time at Maya Bay Sleepaboard Resort was great. Even though Maya Beach is currently closed, we did get to see the bay at sunset - a unique experience that lets you take your time to savor such a naturally beautiful set up. The other guests had a similar mindset - people in their 30s looking to have a great time swimming, snorkeling and partying once the sky is dark. All of this, combined with the beauty of Phi Phi Islands make this stay aboard a mix of experiences that are enjoyable overall: you get to experience absolute silence while paddling through one of Phi Phi Le's enclosed natural bays; next, you are looking at the sunset, and the stars appear in the sky as the sun goes down. That is followed by a bonfire at a smaller beach, and the day ends back aboard where barbecue and drinks await - the party just got started. This is definitely recommended - it's a way of enjoying Phi Phi that is much different (better) than the usual day trips from Phi Phi Don, Krabi or Phuket.
