"Somewhere Si Chang is a really cute and little boutique Hotel on the Island. Maybe the best place there! Hotel is brand new, everything very clean and tidy. The rooms are very nice decorated in maritime style and you ll have as far as I can judge in all rooms sea hew! The Staff is very polite, nice, friendly and helpful. They insisted to serve breakfast even the breakfast time had already been over when we got up. The pool and the pool-are very nice too. Maybe a little small if more than 4 guests are at that place. But we had it almost for ourselves on a weekday! They got a little nice garden in the backyard of the pool too. Cocktails we ordered to the pool. Staff acted a bit like we were the first persons who ordered cocktail ever (haha it has just opened the place), it took a while until we got them but they tasted phantastic too without any artificial flavors beside maybe the syrup you need for example a tequila sunrise. I am pretty sure we would come back if the island had a bit more to offer (like a nice beach). The biggest beach there is for locals only and ver very Thai. Sand is dirty too and smelly because of the street food kitchen restaurants there I dare! Another beach (hidden beach) of which we had a secret tip before was very dirty too and almost all of its sand has been robbed by some sand-robbing-container ship as locals told us. :( very sad. "

"it was surprise! love the style of the rooms, and the view is great. when you wake up and open your eyes, you see the beautiful ocean view, feel great. The steep stairs in front of the hotel is a little hard to go, but there is nothing to worry about, they got escalator for luggages. Santi is very nice, we unexpectedly changed our schedule for some reason, and the website have problem at that time, so we call them directly, they agreed us to change the check in date - which is really helpful. He gave us many ideas where to go around the island, and where to eat, he is communicative and helpful, i wish i could have more time to chat with the old gentleman."

"Got an email on the morning of check-in to contact the hotel when at Koh Loy Pier so that they can standby to pick us up from the pier when we arrive. The hotel was not too far away from the pier though and there are loads of food nearby within walking distance. Rental of motorcycle is possible from the hotel as well. Staff was nice and helpful. One of them could speak English really well too which was superrr helpful. Got the room with the sea view and it was really nice. The room was clean, bed comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Really great experience!!"

"If you want to enjoy a nice evening on a huge balcony with an amazing view, sleep in a comfy bed in a spotlessly clean room, and be helped by friendly staff; stay here. We loved our room, our huge balcony overlooking the water and how helpful and kind the staff were. They even made me a special vegan breakfast (veggies and rice) when I told them I couldn't eat the standard "English" breakfast they made. You will have to climb up many steps to get to this place, so be aware if you have any mobility issues. They called a tuktuk driver for us, who we used for the whole weekend. He was lovely and took good care of us, too. If I go back to Ko Si Chang, I will book here again. "

"the island is really small and the bungalow is a 3 minute tuk tuk ride from the pier/dock. when we arrived, i was impressed with the layout and the lady who worked there was very polite and spoke pretty good english. the only problem...when we arrived she did not have our booking on file. she must have missed the email from agoda. so they were overbooked and could only accommodate us for 3 of the 4 nights. i contacted agoda and received an immediate refund. if you book through agoda, it might be best to email charlie's bungalow directly to confirm your booking. it worked out though, as 4 days in koh sichang is a bit much. you can see the whole island in a day or two, and then do the beach thing for one day. plus, my friend was in bangkok for our supposed final day in koh si chang. with the overbooking, i was able to get back to bangkok and show my friend around. so in the grand scheme of things it worked out. aside from the overbooking, the place is great. very clean and new. the garden/common area is well maintained. if the staff is not cleaning rooms, they are tending to the common area. the place has wifi and works inside most units. we stayed in the one second farthest away, so it didn't work in the room. not a big deal, as internet isn't that important when on a quiet island like si chang. "Booked a trip online while on the boat to the island. Paid for the room. When we got to the resort there was no room. If there was no room available they shouldn't have taken our money. It was 30 minutes between booking and arriving at the resort. Ended up spending most of the day trying to find a decent place to stay. Didn't happen, Will say this, from what we saw of the resort while being sent away by the owner, it looked nice. Good views, and a small private swim area. All the things we were looking for. Too bad we ended staying in a crap place because they confirmed our booking, took our money, and didn"t have a room for us. It's lots of fun travelling around in a tuk tuk looking for accommodations in a place you have never been to. "
