      Relaxing stay”
The resort is quiet and peaceful. I loved the outdoor space for each villa. The main pool is spectacular and if you get tired of that one, there's another even quieter pool. A great, comfortable place to relax for a few days. Although I didn't partake, I liked that there were daily activities available as well as an activities center and a spa. All staff is kind and helpful.

      Superb hotel but expensive services”
Really a splendid place to rest! I would certainly recommend. I just think it is sad all extra services are so extremely expensive: (tranfer to pukhet, spa, day trips etc ..) so better to walk out of the hotel and arrange everything by yourselve if you do not want to pay more than the room itself only to arrive to the hotel (especially if you have to pay for family, all prices are per person, so this becomes really expensive when you have to pay for 4 person). Same remark for the spa and for the daytrips, try to arrange via outside the hotel , it will save you quite a lot of money

Wonderful accommodation with super friendly and helpful staff. The location is beautiful, the beds are comfortable. The cabins are cosy and the outside shower and lounge are amazing. The staff treats every guest as a VIP, which feels amazing. We would definitely come back here!

We stayed in the beach front bungalow: it was massive, with a nice terrasse in front of rice field and beach. The hotel is not brand new, the food is so so but if you are looking for a quiet gate away with a wonderful infinity pool go for it! Good value for money

Excellent location, nice beachfront villa. Compared to alternatives a bit expensive though, especially on spa-massage side. Also its one of the rare places where all prices presented are exclusive of VAT and tourist tax, so one has to keep in mind that everything is 17% more expensive than it seems. Beachfront restaurant does not serve any food on lunchtime, which is also a bit odd. Other than that, its beautiful, peaceful place with helpful staff and good for relaxing vacation.

Lovely rooms and grounds, great place to relax by the pool. Isolated so hard to get out with kids.”
Pro - Lovely rooms and grounds, - incredible views from pool, restaurant and beach - good breakfast buffet - 2 nice pools - friendly staff - restaurant thai food very good (expensive but worth it) Neutral - arrival was a bit half hearted in terms of showing e.g. map of site etc. - didnt really want to discuss things to do/try on island, just referred on to in house agent (understandable but frustrating) - site is massive, long walks to e.g. entrance, which is a pain, but also means you get a very private feeling in room Cons - staff too polite, would rather they were a bit more natural (friendly or not) - for us as a family with small kids, it is very much a hotel for couples to laze by the pool - were a few other families, but we felt a bit awkward if the kids were loud, used the 2nd pool mainly due to this - isolated - good to get away from it all, but hard to get out and about! - drinks prices are excessive - poor service in restaurant (for thai stds, would be o.k elsewhere)

      Stunning!”
This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in - highly recommended. If you are looking to escape from the world for a few days, this is the perfect place. It's super clean, quiet and beautifully decorated. Great staff, food and has everything you'd need. We stayed in low season, and the hotel had only a few guests. A highlight was the cute kittens that live there - very entertaining.

Had the best experience! Would highly recommend ”
I was overall very impressed. It reminded me of the quiet resorts in the area I used to go to as a child that have now been trashed and overflowing with tourists. Pools were beautiful, the beaches were amazing, calm & relaxing. The staff was kind, friendly and attentive. This was the thai experience I was looking forward to showing my boyfriend (who had never been to asia before, let alone my home country!) and this resort did not disappoint. Negatives - we ordered a drink at the bar, we paid them which turned out to not be enough with tax + service. That was our first purchase at the resort so we didnt know these fees applied. I heard the servers saying something in Thai semi mocking my bf for not paying enough which is unacceptable. I wish they would have handled this situation in a more professional manner - it was the only hiccup servicewise. The other negative was that all the cups in the room were dirty with lipstick etc. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK!!

Awsome resort but some fields for improvement”
Location and park where the resort is located are wonderful, and the view from the pool is breathtaking. The island is even though it's not yet very touristic easily tho reach from Phuket via speedboat. The stay was over all wonderful. Only negativ remarks: restaurant should rethink how to keep the dishes from the buffet hot, as they all where to cold when served for dinner and the restaurant staff could be more attentive and angaged as sometimes it takes quiet a long time to get the attention to make an order. The other point is that we needed three appintments at the reception just to extend our stay for one night and the room charges where incorrect after all too. Even though these are some nagativ remarks we'd still highly recommand the village (not only because of the cats which inhabit the resort)

Beautiful Resort in a huge garden”
We stayed 3 nights at Koh Yao Yai Village and we felt like in paradise. The huge bungalows with outdoor shower and a big terrace are set in the forest and between their own rice paddies. You only have to know that the bungalows are quite far from the beach. The pool area is the same huge with a stunning view of the Phang Na Bay. Next to the pool you find the restaurant with the same nice view and a great breakfast served. We only had lunch a view times, which was ok but quite overpriced so we went outside for dinner to the lovely Chill chill restaurant. You also find a library, a small gift shop, a spa center and a tour/activity center within the resort.

Lovely resort in beautiful location ”
The resort is isolated, beautiful and peaceful with lovely grounds filled with wildlife and charming pet cats if that appeals. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good. There aren't too many activities on offer and there's nothing to do in the area but the spa is excellent, though high priced.

Lovely hotel with a stunning view of the sea, but the beach not suitable for swimming”
The cabins are scattered around in the beautiful green rainforest. Excellent infinity pool facing the sea with a shallow area for kids. Pool bar serving drinks and snacks as well. The water temperature is just perfect! There's another lovely shaded pool that is usually completely empty and has infant section in it as well. The beach is basically not usable due to high tide. The only time the water is close to the beach is 9AM and by 10AM it's usually gone far far away. There's only 1 beach on Ko Yao Yai where you can swim all day long and it's located about 20min motorbike ride from the hotel, next to Santhiya resort. The cabin itself was nice and clean, with big veranda with a day bed and lounge chairs. Outdoor rain shower was nice in general but had 2 problems - the hot water was running out after less than 5 min and the fact that there was no hand held shower head made showering (especially with a small kid) not very comfortable (this is where our son's beach bucket came in handy) Breakfast was pretty good, but I haven't seen any asian dishes in it. In general the food at the restaurant was ok, but there's a thai restaurant just about 10 min walk from the hotel that serves excellent food and is definitely worth visiting.

Nice resort with all facilities you may need ”
They get a lot of things right at this hotel. The room design was nice and quirky with comfortable bed and very big bathroom. The problem I found about the room was that it was too dimly lit. Even when all lights were on, one would struggle to read a book at night! I mean, what else could you have done at night on a quiet island if not reading a book?!? The pricing at their spa is also quite perplexing for me. I have been to some expensive spas but they were in 4-5 star hotels in Phuket and Bangkok, not on a small island where everything is else reasonably priced and in a resort where seafood buffet costs around 700 baht ++ per head, as opposed to around 2000 baht++ in hotels that offer spa treatments of the same price range as here. It just doesn't feel proportional for me. The staff were nice and polite, always wai (Thai way to show respect) whenever you walk past them. Breakfast is good with many varieties of decent bread and cheese.

I want to go there again! This was the stand out place of our trip. We had been working very hard and needed a real break . At Koh Yao Yai Village there is nothing much to do but rest, breath, swim, relax and maybe go for a walk. Lovely island hidaway”
Our upgrade to beachfront villa, the outdoor shower and the love for detail that shines through throughout the decor of the resort.
Absolutely beautiful. We kicked off the beach holiday partnod our trip here. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, the food great and the beachfront villas breathtaking - have rarely woken up to such a beautiful view and mind blowing sunrise. Only thing is that the tides of the pha gna bay are particularly visible - the ocean is far retracked more often than not and there is quite a bit of trash in the sea that obly seems to be picked from the shore a few times per week. The beach is still very beautiful - robinson crusoe like in that you'll literally be the only one on the beach for miles and miles sometimes.

      Relaxing retreat!”
Very quiet, excellent pool, outdoor living room for each villa
We booked our stay at Ko Yao Yai Village on a whim while waiting for our boat to the island. When we arrived were instantly impressed by the quiet and relaxing setting. The best way to spend your days here are probably to do nothing, read and go for a swim, there is a beach but its very shallow so probably best for walking not swimming. There is an activities desk where they can book tours but we opted to just hang out in the resort since it was so peaceful. The villas are spacious and have an outdoor shower with the best water pressure ive ever experienced (though the hot water runs out after a while) and a great outdoor living room with daybed and mosquito nets. Though there are 40 villas on site, they are spaced nicely and there are gardens around each one so its very secluded. The infinity pool next to the bar/restaurant is very large and the views are very nice, its not crowded at anytime. The pool is really very nice!! The onsite restaurant and bar has plenty of options all of which are pretty good but are kind of spendy, but that's not too surprising. For cheaper snacks and beer there is some in the gift shop. I suppose if you really cared you could go out of the resort by bicycle or motor bike but I couldn't be bothered. Staff is very nice and helpful too, we missed the place as we were driving away! Would like to come back soon!

      Fantastic Hideaway ”
The Room / The Staffs / The Island
Our family had a fantastic 4 days get away from busy Bangkok. We reserved a sea view villa, which was "very" spacious with great view of the sea, and just within short walk to the beach, the restaurant, and the pools. The hotel provides the option of land & sea transfer, which leaves us with wonderful first and last impression of the trip. The ride was so scenic and comfortable. All staffs at the hotel treated us nicely. Breakfast is great and the restaurant provides good food with large portion. You'll feel complete relaxation among the lush forest with sounds of little crickets. We took a fun village tour and found the island to be completely untouched by crazy pubs, cheesy restaurants, or drunken tourists. You will get to see the charm villagers’ true way of life. If you love a quiet, peaceful, and natural vacation like we do, this place is not to be missed!
