I was a solo traveller on my first trip to Thailand. This hotel is set in a tranquil and beautiful location on the island. The bungalows are placed on the edge of the forest as it descends into a beautiful beech. I thought I was in heaven when I arrived at the resort. This resort will take your breath away. The accommodation is very rustic but that’s to be expected on such a beautiful and unspoilt island. The bed was really comfortable and the bungalow was enormous inside. I slept beautifully. The bathroom was large, clean and fully functioning. A mosquito net is provided and I didn’t get any bites which great given it’s rural island setting. The owners were amazing and they make most delicious food for guests and also provide breakfast. You can also hire a motorcycle from the resort which I did to explore the island to experience all the amazing beaches and seafood restaurants. The accommodation is great value for money and you will have everything you need. WiFi was not so good in my bungalow on the hill. but WiFi was ok in the resort itself. It’s a shame there was no fridge in the room but this is a rustic island setting. OMG you have to visit koh jum. It’s an Amazing island. The highlight of my trip was snorkelling beside the resort and being woken up to a family of monkeys who live in the forest and came to visit me on the balcony of my bungalow. You really can’t beat that for an experience of a lifetime. Also just to note the owner also sorted all my travel out so I didn’t have to worry about getting back to Phuket airport. Koh Jum was the highlight of my 5 island trip so I definitely will be back to see the monkeys. Thank you both so much for my stay and taking care of me. Bless you both x

A fridge and better WiFi in bungalows would be an improvement. But not essential for me

We had an amazing time. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The beach is very nice and quiet and food was great too!

This report has to be read with 3 years Covid and its repurcusions to the tourist industry in Asia, in mind. The resort is coming back to life after Covid. A new bungalow is being built and boilers for hot showers will be installed for example. The bungalows are a bit too expensive. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is excellent and not average as others have written! The room has to be paid in cash! There is NO ATM on Koh Jum! The next ATM is really on Phi Phi but you can get money with your credit card from a man in a travel agency near Koh Jum pier (the pier to, for example, Koh Lanta)!!!!!

Warm water would have been good, but it's coming after the high season. Go to Magic Beach next door for swimming without rocks.

The staff was very welcoming and the whole time of our stay super friendly. They have an a la carte restaurant and provide food for the whole day. everything we ate was very tasty and the prices complete reasonable and not to expensive. Even you don’t have to move to the city for having breakfast, lunch or dinner. The location is this what we were looking for. Bungalows in the first row at the beach. The beach was quite empty (maximum 10 people at the same time at the beach). Also the area is a good spot for snorkeling. The space in the Bungalows was big, they provide a mosquito net and everything was super clean. We can just highly recommend it if you are looking for relaxing spot on an calm island!

The way to the bungalow is a bit difficult. You have to pass a dirt road. We came by scooter and for us it was ok to ride but if you aren’t used to it, it will be hard. Or while the rainy season it will be very muddy.

The beach was close.

Stayed 3 days and we had no clean sheets, towels or the room cleaned and we had to buy water daily. There is a big resort next to the Relax boundary with their accommodation right against Relax huts and a big restaurant with constant music. Nobody says that the excess road is dangerous and unfit for scooter hire and the walk down and up to the resort is steep.

The room was large and had a wardrobe to hang clothes, plus two comfortable chairs inside.

Swimming was only possible when the tide was in (obviously not the fault oh Koh Jum Relax).

Location is great if you are not bothered going out late in the evening as the access road is difficult. Sea view or partial sea view is lovely. The accommodation are simple but practical. Don't expect luxury, it's out in the wild, no AC, no hot water. Beach is quiet, and easy to swim into. The chef at the resort restaurant is talented, you will be disappointed if you eat somewhere else. And finally the owners are lovely and friendly and can arrange about anything for you if necessary (birthday party, cocktails and cake)

The running water is quite brown.

Beautiful, clean beach, no crowds. The family who runs the place and very kind and helpful, always there and available. Ja is an amazing cook, she cooks delicious and light, uses a lot of natural herbs and spices. The bungalows are spread in a nicely kept garden, the beach is right in front of the property, only a few steps to waters' edge. Rooms are spacious and basic, however, you have all the basics you need. They are doing a great job, being open even in such challenging times.
