Absolutely perfect stay”
The staff really make the stay amazing. Nothing is too much, they go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The grounds are kept impeccably and the location, despite being near the centre of Ubud, is so quite and peaceful. The breakfast is also amazing, with fresh juices and cakes and pastries with freshly cooked meals from a menu that changes slightly each day. We had the pool (which is set at the back of the property set amongst the jungle) almost to ourselves the entire 3 day stay. Would definitely stay it again and recommend to anyone staying in Ubud.

Komaneka at Monkey Forest is simply great ”
Komaneka at Monkey Forest is located right at the heart of Ubud. But even though just outside the hotel is the hustle and bustle of the city, you hear nothing inside. It's truly an oasis with everything you can ask for. The staff is friendly and helpfull with what ever you need. the rooms are great. The bed is lovely. Everything in the rooms are exactly what it should be. It's really a peaceful place to stay. I recommend families with small children to find another hotel to preserve the quiet of the grounds. especially the pool area.

Paradise in busy Ubud”
This is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed at Komaneka Monkey Forest land each time I fall in love with the facilities & lovely staff. The rooms are spacious and the staff are always there at your beck & call and nothing is a problem for them. Each night they have a turn down service & neatly place one of their freshly laundered nightgowns neatly folded on the bed to wear every night I stayed for one week and as I checked out the manager gave me a lovely tin of cookies & one of their fabulous nightgowns as a parting gift...What delightful service. I can't wait to return

All the staff (front office, housekeeping, gardeners, restaurant/room service) were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were very mindful of my food allergies and provided me with a special menu. Food was good. Hotel location is superb, right in the middle of activities and shops. At the same time, its cool gardens and pool provided tranquility.

pro: at the center of ubud, really friendly staff, the room was large and clean. the food is ok. con: taxi service to kuta for 700k, doubling the price offered by taxi mafia. the food is very overpriced. The wifi was terrible, android phone occasionally got disconnected. The room was noisy, the occupants upstairs stepped heavily in the morning and woke me up.

Komaneka a place fit for a Queen”
Words can not express the appreciation and gratitude my partner and I have for the staff Komaneka at Monkey Forest Ubud, It was the highlight of our trip to Bali. The moment we walked in the door the staff were there to greet us and treat us as though we were royalty, we were welcomed with a drink and cold towels and escorted to our room having staff explain everything and were presented with a thank you hand written card, flowers and complementary cookies! Staff were able to organise dinner reservation have a driver pick drop us off and pick us up from dinner also providing us with PJS and a bedtime story at turn down. Anything we needed they were happy to help, nothing seemed a bother to them and they made an effort to get to know you personally and take interest. We happened to be staying at Komaneka at Monkey Forest Ubud for my birthday and after our wonderful breakfast the staff presented me with a cake and sang me happy birthday, I was so touched considering the fact we didn't tell them must have been through my reservation. It is also in a perfect location to walk to monkey forest and the market. We can't wait to go back the facilities, staff and location are just perfect!

I was staying in another little hotel in Ubud which I will review separately, but wasn't feeling so well and decided I needed a bit more comfort, so I booked myself in at the Komaneka at Monkey Forest. We arrived at the reception to a wonderful greeting, an icy cold lightly-scented towel and a delicious welcome juice. It was midday, we were informed that checkin time was 2pm, but, they would like to upgrade us to another room, in their other hotel, 2 minutes walk down the road... to a rooftop villa. I wasn't going to refuse, I suspected that it might be a nice spot, so we decided to wander outside to one of the many restaurants just outside the door to wait for checkin time. Off we went, found a nice lunch, and made it back for 2pm. The hotel had our bags in a car, waiting for us. A drive around the block and we were at Komaneka at Rasa Sayang. Up to the rooftop villa and wow wow wow... A private entrance into the garden, with sun lounges, outdoor eating area, and view of Ubud rooftops. A spectacular glass-walled living room with comfortable lounges, bowl of fruit, big jar of complimentary cookies, a mini bar, a big bucket of ice, perfectly regulated aircon... the bed was a treat, white white white, draped with curtains and with a heart-shaped arrangement of frangipani and rose petals... ensuite dressing room with beautiful built-in wardrobes, and all the accoutrement that one could wish for, leading into the marble bathroom with huge jacuzzi bath, separate toilet, enormous shower-room, and opening into an outdoor shower that in turn leads back into the garden. The room was faultless. The welcome was faultless. The extras in the room were excellent. The guided tour of the room by our charming hostess left us knowing where everything was, and how to find anything else we needed. Just beautiful... and... best pillows I have ever slept on, excellent sleep... turndown also included some delicious white nightgowns.

Relaxing and Beautiful Haven within the city”
We stayed two nights at the Komaneka at Monkey Forest. This small hotel is actually a lovely resort/haven within the somewhat hectic streets of Ubud. The staff is magnificent. The grounds are beautiful and nicely maintained. The room/suite was large with excellent bedroom, bathroom and terrace, Very good pool. The restaurant was exceptionally good - we had wonderful breakfasts, teas and dinners there. The hotel is in easy walking distance of many Ubud highlights. (We attended an evening dance ceremony, visited the Sacred Monkey Forest and the Art Museum. We also did a beautiful ridge walk through villages and rice fields.) Excellent stay - we wish we had scheduled longer.

Great Stay in a Lovely Resort”
We have a lovely 5-day stay at Komaneka at Monkey Forest, the location was really convenient as it is in the middle of Ubud Centre, with lots of shops and resturants around. Yet, it is really tranquil and quiet once you entered the resort. The staff in Komaneka are really friendly & professional, almost all the staff remembered us not just by faces but also our names. We were always welcome back to the resort with their lovely smiles & greetings, and our requests were always well attended to. Though it is not a very big hotel, but we were really pampered during our stay there. In addition to the great service and lovely room, the flexibility to have breakfast in any of the 4 Komaneka resorts within Ubud and also the complimentary poolside high tea really add to the special touches.
