Dismal”
This is not a hotel, it is a residence, and as such, there is no reception. In itself, this isn't bad, but the people you will need to deal with when you check in couldn't possibly care less about you. Luckily, I speak enough Thai that I could deal with them, otherwise I doubt I would have even been able to check in at all. Some reviews said you had to pay for internet - when I checked in I found out there was NO INTERNET, I couldn't even pay for it. The neighborhood that this residence is located in is a bit rough, and a lot depressing. The room itself wasn't too bad - clean enough, but the rest of the building was a war zone. So, if you speak Thai, and need to be in this neighborhood, and don't mind using your phone for your internet purposes, and understand that you will be completely on your own even if the building is on fire - then, yes, you might want to go here - otherwise, find someplace else and you'll be happier.

Owner was helpful but hotel got me in surprise”
I was really disappointed with this hotel before I befriended with the owner. I booked this hotel before it has any customer's comment. I thought that this may be a small home-like hotel. And it says it's near to the sightseeing area. When I went from the airport to the hotel,it was far away like going to the moon. I took the cityline to Siam station and took a taxi but still took almost 30 minutes to go there. The only public transport was bus. Taxi drivers don't want to go there by the meter. And the name of the hotel speaks it all, it's a residence,not exactly a hotel. It was rooms inside an apartment for local people. Good thing was they got 24hr security guard! And the environment was not at all pleasing. There was no Wifi in the room and the lobby was not always open. The fact that I was charged for service charge and tax made me really angry. However, the room was spacious and everything new. When I talked with the owner who was the only one working there, she said the hotel was just opened 2 days before I stayed there and the staff was coming in starting March. She tried a lot to help. And then I found that the hotel was very near the bus stop. It was convenient to travel by bus to go to the sightseeing areas like the Grand Palace and it was near. There were also many buses going to the city centre. Travelling by bus was quite nice. The ticket was cheap and people on the bus were usually friendly. They were reasonaly frequent and served till late at night. However, the day I was supposed to leave Bangkok in the evening,I was on a wrong bus and was trapped in a busy congested area for 3 hours. I could not get a taxi and the bus did not come. As a result I missed my plane. The hotel owner was kind. She extended another night of stay to me at a cheaper price and even took me out to see places that night. She even escorted me to the bus stop when I finally left. She became my first Thai friend in Thailand.

Good and bad”
This hotel is set kind of outside the city, but that’s not a problem if you want to do things besides sightsee around Bangkok. It’s located within 10 minutes walking to a bus station and also about 5-10 minutes by car to the Thonburi train station where you can ride on the Death Railway. What I didn’t like about this hotel is that there is only one person on the staff that speaks English,. Of course she doesn’t work 24/7/365, so the hotel can hardly claim to offer English service. The bathroom was also dirty and in need of some remodeling. However, the room was nice otherwise and comfortable. It was pretty quiet, which I liked. The location was the best for me.

Used Google Maps to find this hotel, which was next door to the meeting place - Barnhouse Restaurant. The price was very good in comparison with other hotels in the neighbourhoodseen on Google Maps. We were very happy. They also hade a nice restaurant with a good cook in Thai dishes. Friendly staff and very helpfull. Friendly staff and very helpful. We came with at early flight. It was no problem leaving our luggage at the reception as our meeting was 11 AM and we couldn’t check in before 1. PM. The hotel arranged with taxi as we left. John

Reasonable if you need to be in Pinklao”
Pinklao is still relatively isolated due to lack of BTS / MRT, so unless you are familiar with bus routes, then its taxi costs to get into town. The room itself was ok, not anything as glamorous as the publicity photo! It was clean. The shower was not particularly good or powerful, and fortunately I was only staying two nights, as I got back the 2nd day to find there had been no room service.

The place is surrounded by restaurants and its near a 7-11.there are some big malls on about 10 minutes walking distance but there are many taxis if you don't want to walk. Only one thing II didn't like was the bed a bit hard but for the rest it's a good accommodation

Good Place to stay”
This is an apartment building so there is no receptionist so be sure you have the persons phone number that you rent a room from so they will let you in and show you your room. When we booked I thought it said that there was breakfast included but there is no breakfast but you can walk to 7-11 in less than 5 mins.

Not bad”
I was there for 1 night because I have to see doctor at the hospital near by. The place is just walking distant to the hospital. there are a lot of street food around all day. The room was a bit noisy. I can hear people walking pass or talking outside and also the air-con was a bit noisy. The internet keep disconnecting. and the security guy there wasn't nice. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a night, I think this place is not bad.

receptionist is very kind, helpful but doesn't even knows the numbers in English. The hotel is remote from everything (sai Tai Mai station is 7kms), but there was a party very next to the hotel until about 1AM. No fridge in the rooms, but the room was confortable.

My Children Came Home With Bed Bug Bites”
For the entirety of our stay, a little over a week, they had only changed the bed sheets once. The room was dusty, we had to clean the bathroom the day we arrived and the room was covered in dust. The small fridge located in the room had a strange odor. When we came home, my daughters were covered in bed bug bites on their arms, legs, and back. We had thought they were just mosquito bites but when we went to the doctor we were informed they were bed bug bites. Although the staff were extremely helpful and kind, I do not recommend this hotel for families with young children. Though the room is cheap, you end up spending a lot of money on transportation. I have been using agoda for the past few years but this was one of the worst rooms I have stayed in.
