Perfect stay”
Everything at Kong was amazing! Beautiful architecture and landscaping features as well as interior design. Spotlessly clean everywhere you look, showers are amazing as well as the pool and the staff is very professional and sweet. Breakfast was good but they don't have a large variety of food so if you're a vegan you can buy some veggies in town and keep them in the fridge :) The location is very good if you like to be a bit away from all the crowded places in the centre but still in walking distance. Check out the restaurants on the river bank and make sure you use the free bridges to cross the river.

Awesome stay”
This is a very unique hotel. Very modern and clean. The beds are super comfy and the wifi is fast. Only complaint was that you have to cross a bridge that is sometimes open and sometimes closed. When it is closed, you have to walk an extra 15 mins to another bridge on the other side of town. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

The experience that we had was amazing. The staffs were really helpful always tried to help us. We really appreciate their help. The resort by itself was really clean. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice. The location is a little bit far we had to walk a little bit to get food Brilliant! just loved it

Great, but not during rainy season”
The resort itself is great. The rooms are clean, a little small, but good enough. The pool is nice, it is close to the walking bridge to get to the other side of town. However, try to avoid this place during rainy season. Because the units are old containers you can hear the rain at night and we had a terrible time sleeping. I did not expect it to be like a tin roof at night. Everything else was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

over the river”
Great accommodating staff. Accidentally reserved on Agoda for the day after we actually arrived, and they graciously moved the reservation back a day. Rooms, as have been noted, are modified containers. Air con worked great to cool it down. Easy walk across 2 free pedestrian bridges to get into the town, takes maybe ten minutes to make the distance. So - for what it's worth, if you're walking into town twice a day it's no big deal, but at 3 times a day you will spend an hour getting back and forth. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. And the best you can get for coffee in this otherwise coffee rich place is 3 in 1. Not even a black instant. We were happy with our 2 night stay, and especially happy with staff, but would think long and hard about booking again.

A little bit small bedroom due to built from container but very nice design. For others things such as terrace, garden space, bathroom with rain shower are amazing. Recommended.

The room equipment was incompleted which need to be greatly improved. Post-modern style decoration with lovely garden surroundings is very special. The swimming pool was clean and the water was changed in every morning.

Everything is reasonably good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem is that the hotel is on the other side of the city, a bit far from the Main Street. You need to pay for every pass of the bridge.

Location far out, cool design”
Location was too far out/ after the toll bridge- so tour operators refuse to pick you up. You can walk to the riverside boutique for a pick up- (without your luggage unless it’s a backpack) rolling your suitcase will ruin it as the road is rocky. I had a lizard hanging around the bed of the first room that was given to me- they changed it immediately though. Property was clean and the concept in itself I liked very much. Air von was functioning perfectly. So location & food options gets a thumbs down- Rest thumbs up- even have a pool!

BEST PLACE IN VANG VIENG!”
Look no further! Really nice brand new place in quieter part of VANG VIENG. Very nice staff lovely breakfest and most of all great rooms with super comfy beds. Swimming pool is about to finished ,but dont let that bother you as they organise next door pool. Thank you KONG resort make as feel like home .

New resort ”
The rooms are really nice and modern, nice balcony to hang out on, and lots of common space to relax as well, everything is nicely designed. beautiful shower room. Staff are really helpful. It was quiet during out stay and did feel like we were the only ones staying there, however it is low season. The main town is across the bridge, which you have to pay 4000 kip each to go across there and back. The road up to Kong Resort could do with a bit of maintenance or the option to enter the resort further up the road as the rain can cause the road to be very muddy, which isn't great if you're heading into town in flip flops

Exceptional”
A really nice place to stay. The location is a bit off from the busy areas. But easily reachable within in 10min walk. We loved the design and the coziness of our room. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was very friendly and more then helpful. There was a confusion regarding our reservation (not their fault), but the staff, especially the hotel manager solved that problem very professional. Breakfast was nothing special. We really recommend that place to everyone.

New place but location far from city center. ”
Young and hip container concept. Place is very new. Place is quite a walk from the city center and I would not stay here again because of its location. If the road in was paved, it's still ok but there were times we had to walk in mud to get to the resort. Only good for first time but not a second.
