Will definitely stay @ Koreana again!!!”
Was in SKorea in Sept 2017. Stayed at Koreana 4 days while in Seoul mid Sept. The people working there are personable and speak (or understand) English well. They were very helpful with answering my ‘tourist’ questions, and calling a taxi for me whenever I needed one. The hotel is contemporary, appealing, and clean. My room was spacious and nice, incl closet space. The nice tall gentleman who led me to my room showed me how things work. That was cool! Housekeeping does a great job. They provide 2 bottles of water daily, tooth brushes & paste, razors, combs, robes, slippers, and of course, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion (yay! I can free up space in my luggage next visit). The bed is kinda hard, but this seems to be typical in SKorea and Japan. I really like that Koreana is located on a main street where events and entertainment happen. The ICN airport limo bus makes a stop right in front of Koreana Hotel (thank goodness; my luggage was soooo heavy). Taxi to/fr GMP is < $20. There’s a coffee shop and convenience store on the first level. While I was there, a currency exchange center (I think) in the same block was being set up. The Dongwa Duty Free Shop and hop-on-hop-off tour buses are next to the hotel. So nice! I got to sleep in ea day. Koreana is ~5 min walk to the tourist information center, cultural center, art museum, ~18 min to the night street market, ~12 min to Lotte Duty Free/Dept Store, ~20 min to the historical folk museum. (Could be less; I’m only 4’11”… lol). The quality and staff of Koreana gave me pleasant experience that I returned late Sept for 5 days after visiting Busan and Jeju. While in Busan and Jeju, Koreana safely stored my luggage. The hotel has western and Japanese restuarants, but I didn’t eat there since I live in the US and was in Japan prior to SKorea. I was only interested in Korean restaurants. Luckily, there are tons close by. When I return to Seoul next year, I will stay there again, and recommend the hotel to my friends and
Comfortable”
the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. whether you get a newly-renovated room or one of the old rooms depends on your luck and your booking. i stayed at the koreana hotel on two separate nights in february. on the first night, we got an old room. there was no bath tub and the furniture was visibly old. on the second night, we got a new room with new furniture and a bath tub. service was good. generally helpful and multi-lingual. checking in and out was a breeze. housekeeping does a great job. the old room might have worn-out furniture but everything was immaculate. towels and toiletries were plentiful. when we were confused by the heating/air-conditioning system and asked the front desk for help, they rendered it promptly and with no problems. nothing to complain about. i was only sad that no bathrobes were provided. as for location, there are direct buses (both the kal limousine and the other airport limousine) to and from incheon airport so it's not a problem for international travelers. it's also right in between two subway stations--gwanghwamun (orange line) and city hall (green and dark blue line) which are pretty much the main lines in the seoul subway. good price for a hotel in seoul that provides everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

great location”
my wife and i with another couple friend stayed at the koreana hotel during our vacation in seoul in july 2011. the hotel is conveniently located near to the city hall subway station. the room was nice and we had a decent night's sleep every night of our 4 nights stay there.can't comment on the food there as we had our meals there. the service staff were friendly and helpful.overall i would say korena hotel is value for money and would stay there again in my next trip to seoul.
Perfect Stay”
The staff were very courteous at all times. I chose an Executive King room, and looking back because it rained most of my time in Seoul, the lounge access accompanying the room was a godsend. I could invite a guest over and have some chitchat over little bites and drinks. The hotel is also very close to transportation linking the city and the city's many historical and tourist spots. Definitely booking with Koreana Hotel again when I come back!
Great position but don't drink the wine!”
We chose a stop-over in Seoul on our way to Australia. Because of our limited time, position was very important and we were delighted that the Koreana was so convenient for everything we had planned to see in central Seoul. The room was comfortable - perhaps a bit too comfortable after our longish flight as we overslept by an hour or so! The staff were most helpful - as all Koreans seemed to be. The bar was not very busy when we popped in for a quick drink. We soon found out why! The beer was a standard, fairly high price but my wife asked for a glass of wine which was, firstly, not drinkable; and secondly, the most expensive house wine we have ever come across!
Overnight in Seoul”
Great hotel in a fabulous location! The lobby is a bit dated, but the room was excellent, clean, new, modern and very comfortable. From the airport, the Korean Air limo bus dropped us off right at the front of the hotel. It is $16 each way per person, so convenient for the trip to the airport. We had only one day in Seoul, so had to pick wisely. We decided to walk 20 minutes to the quaint shops on Insadong Street and to the Bukchon Hanok Village. There are many more sights to see in Seoul and we will definitely stay at the Koreana on our next visit.
Excellent value and location”
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Koreana Hotel and were both impressed by the friendliness of the staff and quality of the room. When we walked into the hotel, we were greeted with friendly "Hellos" from the staff and treated with the utmost respect. The room was on a higher floor and had a great view outside of the Cheonggyecheon Stream. The room was spotless and had all necessary amenities. My boyfriend forgot his toothbrush, but was able to buy one (plus toothpaste) in the room for 3,000 won. It was a very romantic, friendly, and clean place to stay and gave us the perfect romantic getaway we needed. It is also very conveniently located near City Hall station, and I saw that the airport bus stops there. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again!
Best location”
Ive been to Seoul over thirty times and this was my first time to stay at the Koreana which is a well known long standing hotel in Seoul. I chose it because there was a very special price on Agoda and we needed a hotel close to the Government offices. Upon arriving, i was offered an upgrade to the a king bed room on executive floor as the staff needed a twin bed room which was the advertised special. I accepted the offer even it did not come with the complimentary breakfast and other exec amenities. The room was very nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed and nice chairs. The other best feature of the hotel is its proximity to govt offices; it is the closest compared to the Lotte, Chosun and Plaza which are great hotels too. Plus the KAL airport limo bus stops right in front of the hotel. The only drawbacks which were minor was the lack of iron and board, safe and wifi charges in the room. Altogether, I would definitely return to this hotel.
Comfortable and good value for money”
Koreana Hotel is conveniently located by Seoul City Hall with easy access to subway station and right opposite the Lotte Hotel, home to luxury shopping. It is also very close to the Myongdong shopping area where lots of mid-range shopping is available and lots of restaurants, cafes and eateries can be found. It is centrally located so it's to easy to get around most places in Seoul, it is also within walking distance to the Cheongyecheon river walk where people enjoy night strolls. The hotel itself is not very new but is very well-kept with friendly and attentive staff, and the club floor offers a quiet lounge with a view. All this for a very reasonable price in Seoul I'd definitely use this hotel again in my next trip.
Pleasant Stay”
The staff is very pleasant. The location was fantastic - within walking distance of great restaurants and some sites. About a 10-minute cab ride to N Seoul Tower. The room was a bit old but extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. Bonus, the airport bus (both KLM shuttle which anyone can pay to ride and the other airport bus that I can't remember the name of) stop in front of the hotel or a half block down from the hotel. I enjoyed my stay at the Koreana.
A hassle free and pleasant stay ”
Koreana is a very accessible and centrally located hotel in Seoul. Airport Bus Limousine #6701 stops right at the front entrance of the hotel. It is situated directly opposite Seoul Financial Centre. Out from hotel-turn left, it takes about 5 minutes’ walk to Donghwa Duty Free store and some local restaurants ;Turn right, it takes merely less than 10 minutes’ walk to Deoksugung Palace and City Hall Metro too. Even if you wanna walk to Myeongdong, it probably takes less than 20 minutes to get there. Taking a Taxi in Seoul can be quite challenging because of the language barrier or drivers are not familiar with locations. However, taking a taxi back to Koreana hotel is such a breeze because majority of the drivers know where Koreana is. The front desk staff and concierge staff are very friendly and helpful. As I want my room beside my friends' room, the front desk staff obliged my request and promptly changed my Business Queen to the slightly bigger room size Business Twin. The Business Twin room is spacious but the carpet condition is pretty bad. The bathroom is adequately spacious and nice. Overall service was very good except one front desk skinny male staff on 5/5/2014, midnight hour. He is able to communicate in good English but very aloof in responding. I will probably choose Koreana again next time.
Lovely hotel. Nice rooms. helpful staff.”
koreana is a very pleasant hotel. we had a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and everything was very clean.it would be great if more staff spoke a little more english. restaurant staff were lovely, but had almost no english. it is hard to get orders right for tourists.the position of the hotel is a big plus because it it close to the spot where the tourist bus starts on a sixteen stop tour of seoul.this is a cheap and excellent way of seeing many sites in seoul in a day.

A great stay!”
We recently stayed at the Koreana for 8 days and we loved our stay! We were nervous about it going into it because we didn't know anything about the area and sort of blindly picked it based on the reviews. Upon arrival, we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff, and were upgraded to an executive room at no charge. The hotel is located in the city center area, which was great for the areas we went to (Namdaemun, Myongdung, Insadong, Itaewon, etc) We are going back to Korea in a month, and will be staying there again for sure as we really loved our stay there.
Spacious room in a great location”
The room in Koreana Hotel is quite spacious. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated somewhat between Ganghwamun and City Hall subway stations with the Airport Limousine bus stop right in front of the hotel. There is one convenient store attached to the ground floor with many coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Free parking was definitely a plus for us.
Great location, safe hotel :) !!”
The Koreana hotel is in the perfect location in Seoul, just walking distance quite literally from many of the city's highlights. There is delicious Korean Grill just a 10 minute walk (or 2 metro stops) away and Jongno. Also, some temples and a castle are very near as well as an old cathedral and city hall. A convenience store is connected to the hotel for simple shopping. The elevator requires a card to ascend to each floor, making the hotel a bit more secure as well. Our only peeve was the breakfast was not worth the over 20USD charge per person, and the Fitness Center was closed for the Mid Autumn Festival, or Korean New Year. A small gym was open on the top floor though. Still, I would definately, happily stay there again.
Exceptional, Amazing & Truly Korea”
Our stay was perfect for the 4 Nights at this hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and the location was great. It is worth the price to pay for the rooms. The hotel was centrally located at the main city attraction as it was really close to the City Hall Subway that is just 5 minutes walk. It is also nearby the Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁) and The Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천). Easy acess to Seoul City Tour Bus and Taxi to Main attraction such as Shopping place like Myeongdong (명동). For 1st time traveller like us, we take KAL limousine bus that was very convinience as it stop in front of the hotel. I will definitely looking forward to stay in this hotel for my next visit to Seoul. Travel become more easier due to our great stay at this hotel. Thanks Agoda for recommending this hotel. 5 star rating for this hotel!
location near city hall subway, staff very helpful”
Booked a business twin, very spacious. Unfortunately, on the day of checking in, there was a protest which lead to a road closure. The cab couldn't access the road, we had to walk through hundreds of policemans and the road to hotel was blocked by police buses. It was almost midnight and we had just arrived from a long journey, it was tiring and scary to some of us. The hotel should have informed of the 'event' so that we can plan our journey better. Koreana is very near to city hall and president house, where they usually held major events. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
Centrally located at the city centre”
koreana hotel is centrally located within the city centre. a comfortable coach bus brings you directly from the airport to your hotel at very affordable price. the room is reasonably spacious and clean with shower room and a long bath. the hotel is located within short walking distance to 2 subway stations and that make it very convienient to travel around on your own. places of interest and shopping is practically nearby to the hotel.
