"We stayed here through a special rate deal and it was fantastic to come home to the lovely pool, spa after visiting the temples during the day. Very easy to get a tuk-tuk or book tours through the office. Free use of business centre or wifi in rooms. Breakfast was excellent - best omelettes we've had so far. Drinks at the bar were a bit expensive each night but this is a five star resort. Our favourite hotel in our five weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia by far."

"Firstly, the staff at Sabara are amazing, so courteous, friendly and they couldn't do enough for you. This is one thing you will find with Cambodian people and Sabara is a perfect example of this. The hotel itself is very nicely presented with a great pool which gets the sun all day if you want to take a day or two out relaxing. The food is amazing! and about as good as you can get as a tourist, I've stayed in other much larger 5 star hotels in Siem Reap and the food at them doesn't compare to the quality at Sabara. The hotel is very new and the last few rooms were getting finished off but to be honest that made my stay more enjoyable as most of the time I had the pool to myself which I enjoyed very much. The beds are extremely comfortable and the best I've slept on in S.E Asia. It's a little outside of the main Pub Street and Old Market area (10-15min) but the hotel put on a free return tuk-tuk service whenever you want to go to the centre. Thank you Sabara - I will be back!"

"When I booked my room for a two-night stopover on the way to Europe (I flew into Singapore but cheap flights and a two-hour journey time made Siem Reap easily within reach) I was blown away by the low cost of what was marked down as a five-star hotel. In spite of the rating, I didn't expect the resort to be all that special given how cheap it was relative to hotels in Singapore and the like. But from being greeted at the airport by a driver holding a sign with my name on it (the first time this has happened to me!) I knew this was going to be a special place. I was greeted by the duty manager at reception, who talked me through the hotel's facilities while a sipped an ice-cold orange juice. When I got to my room I was impressed by its size and the facilities inside (desk with internet, TV, central lighting and power control unit, safe, etc). The pool was large and well serviced by the bar staff in the hut nearby, and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff at the hotel during my stay. I'd highly recommend the Angkor Miracle Resort and Spa and would definitely stay there again if I ever come back to Siem Reap."

"The Sothea is located about 10-15 minutes away from the airport and the old town. We were given 2 Deluxe rooms overlooking the pool. The rooms were very spacious and well-apointed. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower and there was an outdoor shower option as well. There was cable TV and free wifi connection as well. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of local and Western dishes. We especially liked the Cambodian fried rice and the noodles station where one can choose the noodles and meat that go into the soup. Lunch and dinner kitchen service can be a bit slow though and while the food is good you could probably get something better and cheaper at local restaurants. My husband enjoyed the spa very much. The best thing about this hotel for us though was the helpfulness of the staff. They had a concierge service to tailor tours (we didn't use this service though) and to book reservations at restaurants. They can arrange for a tuk-tuk to bring guests to restaurants or the museum if given ample notice. When they were unable to get a tuk tuk, they went ahead and arranged for the hotel car to bring us to the restaurant and didn't charge us extra. The hotel also does movie screenings and Cambodian Dance performances as entertainment for diners in the evenings. They can also arrange cooking lessons for guests if requested. "

"Upon arrival at the airport, we've already seen Mr. Sokkol and Mr. Phillip. They greeted us with smile and very energetic though it was 11 pm already. A van and a lexus car fetch us from the airport. While we were on our way to the hotel, Mr. Sokkol was already touring us around, as if he was our tour guide. He's s good in English that we had no problem talking with him. He even asked if he can help us to organize our itinerary. We were welcomed at the hotel with an orange juice, so refreshing. The rooms were spacious, ideal for families. each room has bath tubs for the guests who want to relax. When we asked for another bedding, they charged us for free! We took our late dinner on the PUB street together with Mr Sokkol and Mr. Phillip. They toured us along the way. They became our friends and family in our stay at the hotel. Whenever we have needs, they attended such so well.. When we were about to go to Angkor Wat, they had our breakfast prepared and taken out to the temple. All the staffs are greeting us with smile. Our stay in this hotel is the best ever since we traveled. Mr. Sokkol is an asset of this hotel, he must be well taken care of. Mr Phillip was so kind as a manager. The two of them was also with us when we were bout to leave Cambodia. Though it's not time for work, they found a way to be with us. It's sad we had to leave them, it feels like we left a family member there. "

"As expected from a 5 star hotel. There is a lot of building work going on at this hotel but disruption is kept to a minimum. Probably the biggest double room I have ever stayed in. The hotel is a short tuk tuk ride away from the centre of Siem Reap and not too much further from the temple attractions."
