The booking staff only work Monday to Friday and I booked online so when we checked in on the weekend it was a stuff around and they tried to charge us double the online price. Great facilities and the beach area is beautiful. Staff all very lovely.

disapointing check in ans rooms
it was then 3rd time we checked in to this hotel. we made the reservation the night before but they said they didn't receive our booking just because out reservation was made on friday night, which they reservation department is off. i wonder how this chain hotel works. and they requested a credit card to garuntee. the front desk didn't seem really willing to help....and it took a lot of time for just check in...after checking in our 'garden view' room which in on the 2nd floor, there is ant everywhere, in the toilet, on the towels ecen on the beds. and as that was saturday, there is a wedding party/party until 4am, and it was loud! i wonder how could the hotel let this happen...as it affected so many guests staying nearby! my advise, just don't book garden view, cause we stayed in seaview rooms last time everything was fine.

We loved our stay there! All good! Only receptionists on checking in was a bit abrupt and told me: You don;t check in here - you must go to the 8th floor! Er...I had no idea why...and asked - she said: you have a special booking - anyway that was the only 'bad' thing I have to say as from there all was fantastic - and the 8th floor was Club Krystal - which was great! Sushi bar - excellent!

Nice hotel right by the beach.
Location, rooms, pool.
The staff had difficulties communicating. Other than that the hotel is nice.

Close to the beach, food was good, nice pool.
We had booked a romantic package for one night, as a stopover from playa del carmen before flying out the next day. The romantic package offered free drinks and food in the evening and a bottle of champange. The food was terrible, consisting of a few meatballs, some cheese, and some fairly plain sandwiches. Definitely not worth the extra money. Also we had a problem with air conditioning which meant the room was uncomfortably hot which made it difficult to sleep. We ending up speaking with 3 or 4 hotel staff as no one seemed too keen to help us out or do anything about it. Eventually someone we spoke to was able to help but by then it was so late that we just went to sleep. Not a great end to the holiday.

Amazing experience, good night life!
beach, next to night club, easy to get food
we stayed here for 4nights and was amazing experince ever. we didnt get all inclusive but we could be 2 for 1 happy hour drink so it was worth it. very close to night life area so you can stay long and walk back here. restaurant and souvenior shop was near here as well so you could get pretty much easy access to everything. i highly recommend this hotel.

great location
the location, the room , the beach
our stay would be the sum of a number of factors. the room itself(a romantic suite) was spacious and clean with a balconey overlooking the beach. the hotel location was fine, right near a number of restaurants and tourist shopping places. we didn't opt for the the all inclusive plan, choosing instead to enjoy some of the fine dining operations nearby, and cheap convenience store beer. the few drinks we did order when lounging around the pool were nominally pricey for such a place (10$each). The most helpful staff were actually found outside the hotel - the guys trying to sell you krystal cancun travel packages, they were nice and friendly and helpful. the people inside not so much. they do deal with a huge number of people day in and day out, I guess. One warning: whatever you do, don't agree to get a 'free breakfast and free tour' of the place in exchange for a sale presentation for the krystal time share program. 90 minutes turned into 3 hours of rude pushy salesmen and aggressive executives. horrible. and I wouldn't recommend going to the 'old downtown' area either. yes, there is another market, but it wasn't much cheaper, but the feeling changed drastically. tourists would do better to just stay in the tourist zones.
