"My friend and I were visiting Langkawi for a research project so we needed accommodation with student-friendly prices. AJ certainly helped us spend less without having to compromise on comfort. The beds were clean, the air-con worked fine and our shared toilet on the first floor was decent. The staff were very friendly and gave us a warm reception even when we arrived close to 11pm. The town's water supply got cut during our final night so we called the owner who took an hour or two to fix the problem. Apart from that, there weren't any major problems with our stay. It also really helps that AJ is just 10 minutes away from the airport when you have to catch an early flight."

"We stayed at Sarong Hostel for two nights. The facilities are clean and have a good quality standard (AC and fan, nice showers). I never slept that well in a hostel before. Also, staff and owner are very helpful to explain the major sights on the island as well as bringing us to tour meetingpoints and the jetty. I can recommend the "island hopping" tour! The hostel is in Kuala Teriang, so best is to take taxis or motorbikes to get to the top sights. A place to rent bikes or bycicles is in about 5 minutes walking distance. If you are sensitive to noise, earplugs might be good to bring, but I would recommend that for every hostel. All in all, we are absolutely happy with our stay and will for sure come back if we get back to Langkawi!"

"I picked this as it was conveniently located between the airport and Telaga ferry terminal. It was clean, and had all the essentials including WiFi, soap, coffee/tea... They were very friendly and excellent value for money. Highly recommend for a night or two. You could use it as a base to discover Langkawi too as everything is a lot easier with Grab. Personally, Koh Lipe wasn't worth the hipe if you're looking at booking this to go there ;-) The trash and pollution was devastating :( "

The house is in the middle of the forest so it is very calm and quiet. There are some local restaurants at walking distance. You can use a large terrace with a kitchen if you want to cook your own food. You sleep on confortables matress on the floor with a net and fans. The family is very nice. I recommend if you want a wild and peacefull place!"
