worth the money
a gem of a budget hotel. the rooms were spacious for a budget hotel. very clean, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels. the rooms were cleaned everyday. the toilet was spacious and clean too. the hotel is a Chinese style heritage home. the breakfast is spartan (bread with condiments ie jam, margarine, peanut butter) and coffee /tea. location is superb just opposite the riverfront. many eateries within walking distance. will definitely stay again. only downside is the non-existence of wifi.

Great location and ambiance
I chose the Kuching Waterfront Lodge especially for its location and local Sarawak ambiance, and in that regard, I was very satisfied. It was great being able to walk out of the front door right onto the waterfront and also be within walking distance of most places I wanted to go. I stayed for a total of four nights in early August in two different rooms. I must mention that I booked a double room and never received one, being given a twin-bed room both times. I understand that the Rainbow Music Festival was approaching and that the hotel was fully booked especially at the end of the first week of August, but when you reserve something, you expect to get it. Also, the wi-fi in this hotel is downright awful in the rooms and needs to be remedied. It's not fun leaving the cool air-conditioning in the room to have to use wi-fi in the humid lobby or common areas. That being said, if I ever find myself in Kuching again, I'd probably stay again.

Great Location and Affordable
Clean new toilet, water pressure was very strong which is always a plus point. However in the triple room we stayed on the 1st floor, the queen sized bed mattress was in a bad condition. My husband and son couldn't sleep entire two nights. Gave them backaches the next day. Also there was a big American cockroach where the AC is. I'm totally terrified of cockroaches, so luckily I only saw it on the day of check out. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Value for Money and Comfort
I went last year in december 2015. Just to inform the rest of the viewers, the place is clean, and also the bathroom since I am abit particular. The food are easily accessible. My boyfriend and I walked a lot. There are many bars located at the back of the alley and there is a good place for massage around. All in walking distance. Definitely will go again....
