Relaxing weekend in a cottage”

The setting is idyllic, far from light pollution and impressive even in winter. The host proved to be extremely kind. The cottage itself is cozy and definitely functional, taking into account the quality-prize ratio.
At times there were some ants in the kitchen.

I understand why it’s a convenient stay for kayakers on their adventure...
...but it’s not a cozy getaway. As someone mentioned earlier, you are kinda in a corner of a parking lot, with lots of windows on common area and on some other building’s facilities, and there isn’t a private part where you can hide and enjoy the view. It was absolutely freezing inside (-12 outside), took the whole evening and a night for the house to warm up with all heaters on max. Sauna was not nearly hot enough (with -12 outside, large sauna room and only few old stones, no wonder). Probably in the summer it’s work better. Most importantly, facilities were dirty when we arrived with “leftovers” on dishes, in the sink and in the toilet...

Kotka city is just 15km away and was a really nice surprise - you must visit maritime center ant the touristic harbour. The river is nice and view is beautiful, this time was full of mosquito and some stupid flies....
The location is not close to water, in front you just have the parking lot, you don't have your own grill, cleaning is just superficial, allot of dust on the windows, and spider mesh in the sealing and any corner. A proper deep cleaning is needed.

Das Cottage steht quasi auf einem Parkplatz. Das Haus liegt an einem Hotspot für Angler, demzufolge manchmal reger Betrieb...Das Foto suggeriert Blick auf den Fluss, der leider nicht wirklich vorhanden ist. Das Haus ist alt, was grundsätzlich kein Problem ist, aber die Einrichtung ist in keinem guten Zustand. Schrank schief, angebrochnene Griffe, Toilettensitz fiel ab, Terrassentür ließ sich nicht öffnen. Unabhängig von der Tür lud die Terrasse auch nicht zum verweilen ein. Alles in Summe etwas enttäuschend. Sehr freundlich war allerdings der Eigner/Verwalter vor Ort.

Kymenlaaksoon kaunis luonto tuli tutuksi.”

Mökki oli suht koht siisti ja lyhyt matka mahtaviin luoto elämyksiin, kuten valkmusan kansallispuistoon.
Miksi mainostetaan että mökki saunalla? Ja sauna aivan surkea ja kiuas tehoton ei mittaria josta olisi nähnyt että saunassa korkeintaan 40 astetta lämmintä. Sälekaihtimet oli rikki tämä mökki oli liian kallis varustukseen nähden.

Rauhallinen sijainti
Kultala Cottage sijaitsee aitauksen ulkopuolella, autojen parkkipaikan edessä. Jokinäkymää on vain pienesti sivusta katsottuna eli kuvaus ja kuva jokinäkymästä on mielestäni hyvin harhaanjohtava. Mökki ja patio kaipaisi pientä pintaremonttia. Tupakantumppien purkkeja joka puolella. Saunan kiuas tehoton.

Kiva paikka - vahva suositus.”

Alue on erittäin hieno Kymijoen rannalla ja hiekkatietä riitti jossa patikoida. Kultala Cottage ei ollut ihan joen rannassa, siitä pienen pieni miinus. Mutta Hinta-laatusuhde oli täysi kymppi! Isantä Sauli oli mahtava tyyppi, ystävällinen ja asiakaspalvelualtis kaveri. Todella mukava. Kota oli aivan mökin vieressä, siinä oli hyvä illalla paistella makkaroita. Vaikka mökit olivat suht. lähellä toisiaan, ja ne olivat varattuja, mitään häiriöitä ei ollut ja kovin hiljaistakin oli. Ja se tähtitaivas oli uskomaton. Kokonaisuus kiitettävä.
Muutama naulakko tai koukkuja lisää jotta makkareihin olisi saanut vaatteita roikkumaan.

Tilava ja viihtyisä mökki neljälle - vain keittiötila oli hieman pieni. Mökki oli myös siisti. Erinomainen sijainti ja kaunis miljöö.
Mökissä ei ollut nettiä. Suihkun veden paine oli huono.

Emme ottaneet aamiaista majoituspaikasta
WC-n ja pesuhuoneen ikkunoissa olisi saanut olla verhot.Sauna lämpesi huonosti.Elintarvikekaapissa oli asiakkaiden jättämiä vanhalla päiväyksillä olevia ruokia. Ruokailuvälineitä voisi päivittää.

Oma sauna ei toiminut. Mökin vieressä iso haiseva roskalaatikko. Odotti varmaan tyhjennystä.
