"This is the nice place to chill, relax, paint watch the stars, visit the lake. Get a room next to the swamp with a balcony. Many little birds come and go. You wouldn't get the typical corporate service here. It has family-like atmosphere. Goes with the vibe of the place."

"I stayed here nearly ten years ago and liked it so it was good to go there again. Its a clean and friendly place although you need a car or family nearby as its a few kilometers from kumphawapi itself. There are the odd tuk tuk passing bye so perhaps the staff can arrange transport if needs although I personally didn't ask. Kumphawapi train station is a short walk at the end of the road but maybe a little too far if you are carrying cases. Its the main line to and from Udon thai. Not sure how often the trains pass. Its a nice low cost place to stay and is the only hotel around kumphawapi.staff are friendly and helpful and the place is clean. Its really quiet and has a nice pool that's usually all yours. The restraint seems to be open all day and evenings as we ate at several different times. The foods good and again inexpensive. If you need a hotel in this area and you can get transport sorted then this is really your only option.I really like it and as my trips are going to be regular then I'm happy to be going here again.
