Very bad experiene”
Very bad experience. Manger is very aggressive, breakfast poor ,hotel is quite old and AC not working properly ( shut down frequently). Waited for technician many times during my stay. If you don't like your room you can take off but still paying your room fees. If you complain about your room, manager send you to the police or advice you to contact your agent. Very bad service, Not satisfied at all.Police wont do anything either, first and last time.

Clean but small rooms”
Friendly staff
this hotel has a great location, but it is an uphill walk to the main tram road (closet station cembertitas). you can walk to the grand bazzar, down to the blue mosque, aiya sofia and topaki palace from here. the room was small and so was the bathroom. standard turkish breakfast along with a few cereals.

Kupeli Hotel”
Convenient location Neat Room
Room too small for triple sharing No variety of breakfast
Kupeli hotel suprise me in delightful way. The location of the hotel itself for first timer will be difficult to find if you did not ask for direction from the front office since it is located at the back alley not on the front road. The reception staff though entertain us courteously as usual do it without smiling, again makes us feel like an intruder to their normal live. Only one of the reception staff, Osman can speak fluent english, the others can't communicate in english well enough for us to understand each other. The room though small(due to the fact that a standard room is used to put three single beds) is very neat and clean probably due to recent refurbishment and they use lamination flooring rather than carpet in their room so you dont smell the musty carpet smell like in most of the hotel. The bathroom is with homogenous floor to ceiling earth tone color tiles look refreshing and clean. The storage area for our things is aplenty to compensate for the lack of space in the room. On the negative side, The breakfast menu is limited to bread and variety of jams and butter and cheese, cereal, boil egg, apple and oranges, cordial orange, tea and coffee and is the same everyday, enough to safisfy the hunger but not enough to satisfy the appetite. We stayed there for 4 night and on the third day the lift broke down and until we checked out the lift is still broken and not being fixed.Imagine after walking around istanbul by foot from 9am to 9pm and when we get to the hotel we have to scale a spiral staircase to the fourth floor. Everyday we will request for iron and ironing board but everytime they will say okay and will wait until an hour when we called back we will receive the same answer that they did not know which room took the iron. All and all, with the kind of money that we pay ( we can get better room in our country) but by Istanbul standard we get our money worth staying in this hotel.

An Average hotel with good location”
Location, breakfast
Very small rooms, the hotel is rather shabby and run down, small TV, very thin walls
In general this is an average budget hotel in Sultanahmet area. You can probably get a better price and possibly find a better hotel for the same price if you go to hotel directly and try to negotiate. The area is packed with small and mid size hotels so the risk of not finding a room sleeping on the street is minimal

Kupeli Hotel”
really good situation. good quality-price value. friendly staff. nice room. good beds.
some of the rooms are really small and would need better care (problem with shower). a little bit noisy.
We stayed 5 nights. The first night, we had a mall room but we got a larger room just by asking for it to the staff, which was really appreciable. I would recommend it to my friends and family: The hotel is very close to the touristic spots in Sultanhamet. It is really clean. The breakfast is taken on a roof terrace and is quite good. Very good value for the price we paid.
