Our Honeymoon destination”
After researching a lot on Maldivian islands and resorts, we finalized on Kuredu due to their affordable pricing for the Jacuzzi Beach Villa. We opted for an all inclusive package (not Gold) that gave us the freedom to splurge on unlimited food and drinks. We arrived in Male at about 1 PM and were greeted by the Kuredu staff and were guided to their private lounge area where we were asked to fill in some particulars and had to wait for our sea plane to Kuredu Island. The thing about Kuredu is that it is a bit far from Male and you will have to shell out about $350 for sea plane transfer per head. We could board our seaplane by about 3 PM and reached Kuredu by 4 PM. We had a very nice welcome - locals playing instruments and music. We were taken to the reception area and were surprised with a free upgrade to their highest villa - Sultan Villa. My wife and I were delighted at this gesture and were then escorted in a buggy to our villa and our luggage was brought in 10 minutes later by the staff. We went about the huge island discovering the awesome restaurants (which all shared the same menu). The O restaurant was very beautiful at night where we could enjoy our dinner by the Ocean. The island has a pro-divers institute that offers free beginners courses in snorkelling and diving apart from the advanced courses. The staff was super friendly. We also had a complimentary fotography session and could get to keep the complimentary foto. The staff at Kuredu are very very friendly and try to reach out to you every day to see if we are okay. We had a number of surprises - getting free honeymoon T shirts, free seasonal fruit bunch with champagne, complimentary spa etc. The sunset cruise to spot dolphins was also very very awesome - to go into the endless ocean like pirates was a thrilling experience. All in all, Kuredu made our honeymoon a perfect one with their friendly gestures. We met on the island people who had come back 15 times - not for no reason we see!
A very nice resort with friendly staff”
We stayed at Kuredu Island Resort & Spa from the 8th until the 21st of January 2021. The Resort is located at the beautiful Lhaviyani Atoll, has some great white Sandy beaches and crystal clear blue water. We only stayed at the garden bungalow which was comfy and spacious enough for a couple. We had everything we needed. The minibar is filled up every day, and as we were on All Inclusive Plus plan, we’ve got bottles of wine and beers also included in the room. The AIP cocktail list is also great. The food was buffet style, plenty of choices to choose from every day. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff is very attentive and kind. Generally a great holiday experience in a little paradise
An enjoyable and unforgettable experience ”
We stayed at Kuredu Island Resort and Spa for 9 days 8 nights in Aug.Having read so many reviews and done research on different hotels online, we decided to pick Kuredu after weighing factors like budget and quality. We stayed in jacuzzi beach villa which lies on the right side of the jetty. I have nothing to fault abt the room. Its cosy and sea facing, we had a good view of sea. We were most happy with the bathroom as it is open air style and comes with a huge jacuzzi housed under the small straw hut. The weather was rather stormy the first two days. Heavy shower and sky with dark clouds is what I could describe the days. as there was no lightning, we managed to bath in e sea in the storm for a while and it was totally fun! We did not mind so much about the rainy days as it gives maldives a different look and feel. It was really nice to be in the jacuzzi for abit during the windy, chilly weather. We snorkeled every day and saw many fishes. As the days were back to the usual hot and sunny weather, we saw even more! we were lucky to tail a swimming turtle meters for a few minutes. We even saw a manta in e water close to the jetty. I know tt its common to see stingrays but to see a manta just by snorkeling 10-20 meters in front of the beach was really a surprise! Anyway, when we went for the 1-day cruise sailing trip, we sighted many mantas and snorkeled w them.. It was amazing. It was also in e same trip we saw pods of dolphins. They swam literally in front of the yacht and some even flipped and spinned playfully. I would recommend this sailing trip to ppl who wan to combine dolphin sighting, snorkeling n a leisure day on yacht together. Food wise, we went for only half board and it was sufficient for us. We loved the breakfast and dinner was not bad. I love especially the fruit counter where u can pick all the fruit u can think of and the friendly fruit cutter would skillfully cut it for u.
Perfect family vacation.....absolutely perfect”
We are a Canadian family currently living in India and were looking for a week getaway in Maldives. We spent many hours searching on the internet as we were looking for something that would be good for us and our two childern - 15 and 5. We wanted something active for the older child and interesting and relaxing for the younger child. We also wanted something that was all inclusive just for the simplicity of it all. The Kuredu Island Resort was our choice and we booked 2 beach villas all inclusive. I called the resort a few days before simply to confirm they had our arriving flight information in Male and inquire about the details of how the sea plane transfer would work. The pleasant surprises started right during the phone call as I was informed that we had been upgraded from beach villas to jaccuzi beach villas. Transfer through the Male airport was also perfect and done very professionally by TMA. On arrival at the resort we had a quick welcome drink and then were escorted to our villas....as per our request they were right beside each other. The rooms were beautiful and well equiped and maintained including air-conditioning, flat screen tv, iPod dock, coffee maker, mini-fridge etc. The outdoor bathroom with jacuzzi was wonderful. The food at the restaurants was also great. The only small shortcoming in this area was that the choices for vegetarians was somewhat limited, although there was always eggs to be cooked to order for breakfast and a salad and pasta bar for lunch and diner. As well, with diner starting at 7:30, it was a bit late for the 5-year, but he managed to hang on. The beach was fantastic, great for building sand castles and playing in the waves. Snorkeling was great. We even got to snorkel with the sharks in one of the small lagoons around the island. Another favourite was sunset walks around the island. All in all, a great and relaxing family vacation. We would definitely recommend it to anyone!
have recently returned from 9 days in the maldives. we stayed at kuredu for 5 nights and all i can say is wow wow wow the island is absolutely stunning, the staff are very friendly and the whole atmosphere was wonderful. we stayed in a beach bungalow and although the room was very basic it was more than adequate. the outside bathroom took a bit of getting used to but after a couple of days we were used to it and it didn't bother us in the slightest. it was quite cute watching the lizards and ghecko's whilst you were in the shower!! our room didn't have a t.v but that was fine. we didn't really see many mosquito's in our room or around the resort but would take spray just in case. we were allocated to the bonthi restaurant and the food was amazing. the waiters were all very lovely and helpful. the food was different each night and not once did i see chips which was nice. there are so many different food options i am sure even the fussiest of eaters will be well catered for. there are a number of things to do on the island, spa, golf, watersports, tennis etc etc. i can highly recommend a visit to duniye spa, my husband and i had a 90 minute session which involved a balinese massage, mini facial, exfoliation and body cream application, it was truly blissful. if you go at the right time of day you can watch the fishes swimming in the ocean through the glass floor panel. after 5 days on kuredu, we were transferred free of charge to the hilton iru fushi. kuredu was overbooked due to a computer glitch so they offered us 4 nights stay at iru fushi. everything was free, transfers, upgrade to full board etc. although the accommodation was much nicer at the iru fushi the island was a lot smaller, still beautiful, but the atmosphere was not as nice as kuredu. we still enjoyed ourselves and we were glad we took the upgrade but if i had a choice to go back to either i would choose kuredu. if you are undecided as to whether to book kuredu, do it, you will not be disappointed
Perfect Maldivian Getaway”
The Kuredu Resort was fantastic and I would highly recommend this to anyone planning a vacation to the Maldives. We also recommend that you go for the all inclusive if you drink alcohol, the wine that they serve is not bad, albeit it is box wine, but the beer is great. Mix drinks are free if you go for the premier all inclusive package or gold package. We didn't see a need for this as we are wine and beer people. The food is buffet style at the all inclusive restaurants and is surprisingly fantastic. Normally at all-inclusives the food is the aspect that lacks the most, but here, it shined. Highly recommend the Maldivian food (for obvious reasons) but all of their western and non-western dishes were good to great and there was variety. Breakfast is a good spread but gets a little old after a week but hey, it's breakfast, so there is nothing really to complain about when the you look out and the view is picture perfect. The only negative is the sea plane in how much it costs, the confusion of going to a counter to check in, getting a luggage tag, going to another counter, to check in (a different check-in) handing your luggage in, watching it drive away, you stay there, you eventually drive away and then waiting as the fluid time schedule of the seaplanes get pushed back. But all in all, it's a nice ride, smooth, and much better than the departure out of the maldives. Upon leaving most people book late night flights which means that the last seaplane leaves Kuredu at 3pm. This translates into a possible 8 hour wait at an airport that is HORRENDOUS. The food stinks and costs 15 USD or more for simple cheese and tomato sandwich but hey its simple economics and they know they have you. The massages at the Kuredu were awful and overly priced. If you dive or snorkel it is fantastic and the Kuredu has a doctor and hyperbaric chamber onsite. We were told that it is one of the only ones in the Maldivian islands. This is reassuring.
WOW, Amazing, worth every penny!”
Absolutely amazing. Firstly, agoda managed to tell the islands sea plane service we was arriving on a late afternoon flight, so we had no space on a seaplane for over 3 hours. The lady at the seaplane lounge immediately arranged for some luggage to be removed on two sea plane flights, my partner flew within 45 minutes and I followed an hour and a half after arrival. This was AGODAS fault (who still have not responded to my email of complaint over two weeks ago). Despite this, because of also being given the wrong room upon arrival and half of our first Day being ruined, the Island manager upgraded up to a gorgeous room. We were so appreciative of their efforts. When you are only on an Island for 4 Days, every Day counts and we were so disappointed to arrive about 3pm, when we should have arrived about 11am but their kindness completely took away the disappointment. Rooms EXCELLENT. Food GREAT. Staff, funny, caring. Island: AMAZING Apart from travelling to places like India and Australia that are still on our list, Kuredu Island will be our ONLY holiday destination and we are planning a trip for 8 of us to return next December, so our family can enjoy it too. The price is high for certain cocktails but great value for such an Island, considering we was not ALL IN, spent $400 on the spa,$100 on a snorkelling trip and $150 on the shop and mini bar, for our bill to be $1250 for two people, 4 Days when we only had breakfast and dinner included is pretty good. We had as many drinks, including expensive cocktails and top whiskys, lunch on two of our Days and didn't scrimp on anything, we was very impressed with the price. If you have any doubts, DONT. The holiday was the best we had EVER had and we are experienced travellers.
highly recommended resort to stay at maldives”
it was our first time in maldives and we really enjoyed it. the transfer via tma was very efficient. our stay at the resort was superb from arrival to departure. heard they were fully occupied the time we were there but we didn't notice it. don't know where the other guests were hiding. there's so much things to do at the resort. our 5 nights seemed so short. we went diving at the house reef (with ship wreck) and it was a beautiful experience (esp for me as it was my first time). the instructors at prodive were very nice and patient with the newbies like me. i can't thank them enough ( the half-day snorkeling tour to komandoo house reef was also fun! very beautiful corals & fishes! it was well organized (thanks karin). we also did a lot of swimming and snorkelling around kuredu and there's a lot of close encounters. you don't need to go very far to see the fishes nor feed them to come near. and they are very friendly too, even the baby sharks! the room: we stayed at beach villa and water villa. both rooms are nicely designed and clean (they clean the rooms 2x a day). food: we were on full board - buffet. it doesn't include the drinks (even juice) for lunch & dinner. but water is free. it's enough for us, we didn't intend to get drunk. (beer ~usd6.50). there's nothing superb about the food though but not bad as well. i think it needs more variety as it feels it's always the same. staff: they were very friendly and will always smile and greet. the island hosts were also very accommodating. internet: oh my! rooms doesn't have free wi-fi (~10usd/hr). we don't really intend to be online the whole time but we need it to upload some photos or post some status to share with our friends & family. there’s free wi-fi at the entertainment centre but it's just troublesome to go there. should add more hotspots. overall, we enjoyed are stay at kuredu and given a chance to come back at maldives, we would still want to stay there.
Beautiful Maldives, wonderful Kuredu”
We enjoyed our stay at Kuredu from the very beginning. The resort is well maintained with great staff. It even looks better than on pictures. We stayed on the south part of the island that has wonderful beach and we liked it the most. Northern part is very windy. A number of activities are offered - tennis, badminton, golf, football, entertainment center... Jacizzi beach villa that we stayed in is very well equiped. Has a ceiling fan and an AC, fridge with minibar, selection of wines and coffee/tea maker. Some chargeable snacks are also available. Far East restaurant offers great food and we would definitely recommend it. The trip that we liked the most is line fishing with bbq. Bbq is made on an deserted island with wonderful view on the sunset. Everything is very well organized and you get a letter of confirmation/cancellation the night before scheduled trip. Food offered in the buffet restaurants is excellent quality and offers something for everyone - european, indian, chinese cuisine. Don't hesitate to choose Kuredu island as the place to be in Maldives!
Kuredu was paradise! ”
My friend and I spent 7 nights at Kuredu and were so happy with everything! We were there for Christmas, so prices everywhere in the Maldives were inflated. I did a lot of research, and Kuredu seemed to be the best price for a luxurious resort experience, and that’s exactly what we got! We stayed In a garden room, and only had food included in our package. The rooms were clean, beautiful outdoor bathroom, really good food, tours, excellent service and location, and thoughtful attention to detail. On Christmas, they left a stocking full of goodies in our room. Our last night at dinner, they had our table decorated. Staff remembered who you were and what you liked. Spa services were excellent. They had diverse and fun entertainment every night. We had a well-stocked mini bar and wine cooler in the room, and prices were surprisingly affordable. The week was very expensive, but everywhere in the Maldives is, and overall, I think we got a smoking deal at Kuredu. Highly recommend!

Excellent for everything!”
I would say it is worth to stay in Kuredu resort and spa. First of all, I arrived to the hotel at night and I cannot visit to Kuredu immediately. After I arrived, the hotel I stay for 1 night urge me to leave at 5 am and take the first seaplane to the resort, that is out of my expectation. Luckily, after contacting to the resort, they can allow me to check in at early morning! I really appreciate for that. When I arrived to the hotel, Charles take care me a lot and give me a detail briefing about the water villa! When I realise there is no hot water supply for the shower, he followed up immediately! Really thanks a lot! The view from the villa is excellent that I can see the sunset everyday and can see even though galaxy at night! To give travellers more information, the Sangu villa restaurant is under renovation, you need to take taxi to the main reception area or o beach restaurant to have your meals. The travelling time won't take you long. For the meals, as my package is full board, I have meals at Koamas restaurant 3 times a day. The meals are excellent and there is little repetition for the dishes through 6 days I stayed. I would like to say thanks to Harriet who is the reception for the restaurant. She is nice, kind and always show lovely smiles to travellers! For the activities on the island, I only snorkelling and having spa. Both of them are excellent! I snorkelled in Koh Lipe and Langkawi before, I found that this is the best snorkelling destination I've ever been. For the spa, it is worth to do, I take 1.5 hours massage and feeling relax. For the other activities, there are party night every night with different theme, couples can join. Moreover, there is a badminton competition for the travellers and winner could get a free dinner in Franco's restaurant. (I cannot join as I came here alone) All in all, all staff are helpful and it is worth to stay here!
Spent 5 days at Kuredu. Upon arrival at Male Airport, the information from the Kuredu desk was clear and precise. We were advised that due to the flight to Kuredu being full, our luggage would travel to the island via boat. They guaranteed the luggage would arrive by 6pm, and in fact luggage reached us two hours earlier! The resort itself is amazing! Rooms, restaurants (delicious food, though limited in choice), bars, beaches and spa all delighted us at every level. The sand bank was particularly beautiful and a great place to take amazing pictures! We had booked a beach bungalow and were upgraded to an O beach villa which was beautiful! Very comfortable and right on the beach! Kuerdu is a large island and hosts quite a large amount of guests. In saying that, you still have a feeling of privacy and tranquility and the staff go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Wonderful resort!
Amazing accommodation wtih amazing food!”
Choosing to stay at Kuredu Resort was an easy decision and we are so glad we chose it. The price was right through agoda for the kind of vacation we wanted. The Maldives is a place we have always wanted visit and it was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. I was nervous about riding a sea plane for the first time, but wow what a treat. From the moment we landed at Male international airport, to the sea plane lounge, to the smooth take off and landing. The views were spectacular and the ride was amazing. Once we arrived at Kuredu we were shown all the main spots on the island and escorted to our Jacuzzi beach villa. The room was amazing with an amazing view. We were offered to upgrade from breakfast only to all inclusive. The next morning we decided to upgrade after having an amazing dinner the night before and realizing that we could eat at all the buffets at Kuredu and receive 20% off at the a la carte should we decide to do something different one day. The food got more amazing at each meal. The variety at each meal and each day was fabulous. I don't think we ate the same thing twice during our 5 day stay. They had themed nights and something for everyone.
The Perfect Getaway”
Loved it. The seaplane ride up to the atoll was fun and the scenery was beautiful. The resort was well organized and friendly. We got the sea villa over the water which was awesome. Service was great and facilities were top notch. I'm not a big "all-inclusive" fan and don't like buffets, but this was pretty great. The food was really good (especially for a buffet, although it certainly wasn't mind-blowing), and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Plenty of activities if you want - tennis, golf, sailing, diving (costs extra). We were only there four days (booking through Agoda allows this, although the resort's website says minimum six days). We had great diving - lots of turtles, a few sharks, manta ray, etc. Everybody we talked to was having a great time and many were repeat customers. The resort maintains local time an hour ahead of the rest of the Maldives just to give you longer daylight and the illusion that you're sleeping in later. It also makes it easier to handle flight connections back to Male, since you arrive back there before you even took off! I did a lot of research to find the right resort in the Maldives that wasn't crazy expensive, that had all the facilities we wanted, but wasn't going to be a cheap place or overcrowded or full of trashy people. This place has it all - beautiful beaches, great facilities, great rooms and friendly service. I really feel like I found the perfect place. I almost never go back to a place twice, but if I went back to the Maldives, I would seriously consider going back to Kuredu.
Good place for a honeymoon”
Kuredu is a beautiful well maintained island. We stayed in the O resort which was adults only and away from the side where the planes landed. Overall it was a great stay and there were a few disappointments that seem to be outside of the resort's control. We stayed for 6 days but excursions fill up quickly. We attempted to do the dolphin safari excursion and although the weather seemed great the waves were too choppy for the speedboat. Also, the island does not have any control over the transfer flights so you may have to wait at the airport for 5+ hours for your departure. Again, not faulting the resort but I do wish I would have found this information in the reviews we read so that we could have better prepared. I would definitely recommend Kuredu and would recommend taking the excursion to Komandoo. The reef at Komandoo has more coral/fish but Kuredu does have a good reef. We saw turtles and stingrays at Kuredu but saw more reef sharks at Komandoo.
Lived up to all our expectations and more”
My wife and I arrived at Kuredu for our honeymoon at September 26th and stayed on AI basis. General - The island is just amazingly beautiful and above all has the most relaxed and indulging atmosphere. We loved that in Kuredu you get the feeling they just want you to enjoy your time and have no worries. A fine example would be that on the day we checked out and waited for our flight back at the afternoon they took for granted that we would keep enjoying our all-inclusive benefits (food, beverages) hours after we checked out until the last moment on the island - something i can't imagine would happen in other hotels we stayed in. The new free Wi-Fi was also a great addition. Staff - friendly, attentive and just amazing from the gardener to the waiter - everyone gives you a great feeling. Room - We stayed in an O-beach villa which was great (even better than in pictures) - spacious, brilliant outdoor shower, direct ocean view and access and very quiet and relaxed beach. Overall - Everything from welcome to departure lived to our high expectations and even more, worth every penny. Turned out to be there is a good reason for the excellent reviews received by Kuredu.
Kuredu - Paradise on Earth!”
Kuredu is paradise on earth! Very beautiful place and staff are mostly helpful. Hubby and I was there for 5 days for our honeymoon, stayed 2 nights each at water villa and jacuzzi beach villa. They were so nice to provide honeymoon tee shirts and champagne plus fruits basket as honeymoon perks. The land/sea transfer and room check-in/out was seamless. There was even an assigned waiter attending to you during meal times at the restaurant. On the last night, we even had a special set-up at our dining table, it was really cool! It was good that we were on the all-inclusive package (highly recommended!) – all our meals were taken care of, we could enjoy endless beverages from our mini-bar in the room and also chill out at various bars availble on the resort enjoying a wide range of cocktails/mocktails/wine/non-alcoholic beverages. The food was varied during our stay, there was an adequate selection during each meal, and sometimes they even have themed meals. Activities-wise, was thankful that they managed to put us on the complimentary sunset cruise even though the sign-up was full. Quite a pity that there wasn’t any sunset though, it was a gloomy evening. But nonetheless, at least they did consider that it was our only chance left to go on the cruise and let us on the tour. Did not try out diving, but snorkelling at the house reefs was pretty rewarding already, there was quite a variety of sea creatures not too far out from the resort. It is also worth mentioning that fellow guests in the resort were all cultured, refined and very courteous people, which makes the stay extremely pleasant. Just an issue on the downside – USD 350/pax for the sea-plane transfer seems somewhat pricy. Hopefully that can be reviewed, and that would definitely increase our chance of coming back! I would highly recommend Kuredu to anyone coming to Maldives!
A must for everybody's bucket list!!!”
This was our first trip to the Maldives and proved to be an unforgettable experience. As perfect everyday as any postcard we had ever seen. The Maldives is notoriously expensive compared to many other Asian destinations.... However we felt Kuredu Island Resort does offer an affordable getaway when compared to many of the other Resorts in the Maldives. This is without a doubt a resort that we will highly recommend to friends and family. We had a magnificent time.
Paradise or could be heaven on earth”
I loved every moment of this tranquil, relaxing & beautiful Island at a superb all Inclusive rate, where nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to visit again with family.Although travelling on my own, I met some lovely people some their 15th yearly visit. I enjoyed some of the amazing Spa treatments although a little pricey compared to home, but worth every penny.Being a virgin at snorkling, I was amazed and did not want to get out, "O divers" (Jon & Timmy) were great support and extremey understanding. Thoroughly enjoyed the dinning lots to choose great range for all pallets, my personal waiter Ramooz was very polite and remembered my preferred drink every evening. All staff were polite and helpful. Even my departure from the Island was a smooth & well orchestrated so that it was little effort. I had a beach bungalow on the North side of the Island in O resort, got to be honest I had no reason to stray to any other Bar or resturant as I was extremely comfortable as can be, although Franco's Bar resturant and Babuna Bar did some rather amusing activities including an 80's theme night. I heard there is a backstage tour on how the Island is maintained, they bottle they're own water on the island, this should be advertised more.Great wildlife to watch from small crabs, lizards to small reef sharks, rays & turtles. This is a definate great choice compared to the prices of some of the other Islands I think this is the best value for money, service, cleanliness and chill factor. Pam from Essex
my husband and i spent one week in a water villa at kuredu resort. it was amazing. the villas are large and airy, furnished with light wood. bathrooms are also large- with a glass-walled shower, two sinks, and a sliding door leading to the deck. the beds have cozy mosquito nets and you can look from bed to the water outside. rooms are serviced 2x a day. each villa has a covered deck with 2 sun chairs, a line to dry wet clothing, and a table/chairs. there are steps leading down to another deck (uncovered) with two chaises right over the water. another set of stairs leads directly to the sea. from your deck (and along the boardwalk which connects the villas), you can see rays, sharks, and tons of fish! you can eat at several of the resort's restaurants (all buffet style with lots of selection!). kuredu is a larger resort so there are many activities (cruises, jet skis, water sport, full service dive center, day trips, etc). however, the island is large and things are spread out so it doesnt feel crowded. the staff are very professional and we couldnt have enjoyed ourselves more. wish we could have stayed longer.
