Beautiful spot for how much it cost. Not to far from bus stops or sub way under 10 min walk. Lawson right across the road. Room was clean and fresh towels daily.
It was a really nice hotel : it was clean and felt very safe. The room was a lot bigger than I expected ! I had a room with a window towards a parking lot so it was really quiet at night. Also, the room had a bathtub which was quite enjoyable after a long day of walking. The AC worked really well. By foot, it was close to a bus stop (2min), a subway station (5-7 min) and Kyoto's train station (10min). Only drawback : if you're sensitive to light in the morning, the curtains don't cover all the windows and you'll be woken up by the sun.
The transportation is a bit challenging, but if you're focused on cost performance, this hotel is a viable option. It’s somewhat far from the station to the hotel, taking about 15 to 20 minutes on foot. There is a bus available, but the wait time is longer, and you also need to walk another five minutes from the bus stop. To be honest, the access is a bit inconvenient. However, as a result, the accommodation fees are quite reasonable. It’s definitely worth considering for those who want to save on costs. There are hardly any dining options nearby, so it’s recommended to have dinner around the station before heading to the hotel. There was an automatic check-in terminal set up, but when I used it, it was not powered on and unavailable. However, the staff at the front desk were courteous and the process was smooth. The guest room has a standard size for a business hotel. I didn't find any particular complaints about the comfort of the bed and pillows, the usability of the desk and chair, or the size of the bathroom. The internet connection was stable, allowing for comfortable remote work and video viewing. Overall, while there is the "inconvenience of access," the cost performance is still worth it. For those who prioritize price, the offerings are quite satisfying, and I personally would like to use this hotel again.

The hotel has an air conditioning system, but during our stay in late March, it seemed to be set to heating mode only. We couldn’t switch to cooling mode or make the room cooler, which might be uncomfortable for those who prefer sleeping in a cooler environment — even with the window open. The hotel is located in the Kyoto Station area, but it’s not right next to the station. It takes a moderate walk to get there. Google Maps often suggests getting off at Kujo Station, but in my opinion, getting off at Kyoto Station is a better choice. Although it’s about 300 meters farther, the area around Kyoto Station has a much wider variety of shops and plenty of delicious-looking restaurants to choose from. Plus, there are convenience stores along the way to the hotel, which makes the walk more pleasant. Please note that there’s no complimentary bottled water in the room. You might want to buy some from a convenience store before heading back to the hotel, or use the vending machine on the first floor. The staff were polite, attentive, and offered good service, as expected from hotels in Japan. The room was clean and free from cigarette smell, matching the usual standard of Japanese hotels. Some people from countries where it’s common to sleep in a cool room may find this uncomfortable. It’s a good idea to check with the hotel in advance whether the air conditioning system allows cooler settings during your stay, to ensure a more comfortable night’s rest.
