Most enjoyable and relaxing stay”
My brother-in-Iaw recommended this to us. I got this as a last minute deal and we were not disapponted! We got the room with 3 beds and an extra bed since we were 4. The room was big (37sqm) and beds could still fit 2 persons. Having 1 bed each was a joy! The location was so convenient, just across the Kyoto Station, which you can reach by crossng the road or passing through the underground walkways. Below the hotel was a souvenir shop where you can buy food and Japanese crafts and souvenirs without having to go far. Prices are comparable or even cheaper than stores in other tourist spots. Above the hotel is Kyoto Tower with a very good view of Kyoto 360°! If you stay in the hotel, fee is 50% off for adults and free for elementary school kids and below. Reception and checkout were a breeze! The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can even leave your luggage if you arrive too early for check-in or if you are to go someplace still after check-out. At the back of the hotel is Yodobashi Camera store building where you can find lots of stuff...electronics, appliances, beauty stuff, clothes (has Uniqlo store), etc and restaurants on the 6th flr and grocery at B2 level. There is also a Delifrance just by the entrance. A McDonalds and a Starbucks too at the side of the Kyoto Tower building. Other options would be at Kyoto Station itself or the underground Porta for eats and more shopping. And you can explore all the underground passsageways. Another favorite for us to visit is Avanti mall which is on the other side of Kyoto Stayion but easily accessible through the underground passageways. Will come back to Kyoto Tower Hotel for sure!
Exceeded our expectation”
When we chose Kyoto Tower Hotel we did not know that the location is exactly IN FRONT OF THE KYOTO STATION!! Yep. you only crossed thw street once and voila, you arrive. This hotel also has the tower from where you could see a very beautiful view of Kyoto..and it's free if you stay at the hotel. The room is also sufficient for 4 of us also with our luggages. Great location, great price. For Moslem travellers, the hotel is only around 15 to 20 minutes walk to Ramen Ayam Na, one of the most famous Halal Ramen in Japan. Overall it was a very nice stay in Kyoto Tower.
Great location”
The big plus is the location. Just across the JR station & Bus terminals. You can access to virtually all sightseeing places from those two transportation. Hotel is right below Kyoto Tower. You won't miss it. Hotel also gives free pass to the tower. A great place to have birdeye view of the city. Satisfactory room size with 2 double beds meanwhile bathroom is of typical Japanese cube shape plastic like. For that price, it's a fair deal. Deco appeared old fashioned, but overall clean & tidy. If old style countryside carpet/wall papers are your pet peeves, don't choose this hotel.
Best in Kyoto”
Our stay at the Kyoto Tower Hotel was amazing. I really felt sad for not having stayed a few more days in there!!! We stayed in the Renewal Deluxe Room, the room was very comfortable and very clean, we got nice check in service from lobby. The Lobby staff were friendly and helpful and the staff give us two free ticket to go to the top of the Kyoto tower. The buffet breakfast was consistently good! U can easy to feel peaceful, calming and comfortable. The Public Bath Place was great Excellent! For the price and service, it is the cheapest I can find in Kyoto, so I have nothing to complaint. WE ARE SURE WE WILL BE BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! From Macau.
Great service, great location”
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay here. I expected it to be average, but the service was great. I arrived at 12:30 but check-in was at 2:00, so I left my luggage and went for lunch. When I got back at 2:00, my room was ready and my luggage was in the room already. That was a nice touch! Kyoto Tower is located right across from the main Kyoto Station, so I just got off Shinkansen, crossed the street, and was there! It was a hot day, 38 degrees (about 100 Fahrenheit) and I’m so glad I picked this hotel for its convenient access from the train. The lobby is on the 8th floor, that’s one quirk you should be aware of. Go up, check in, and you’re all set. They also give discount tickets to go up Kyoto Tower, which is above the hotel, and to the public bath in the basement level. Both are well worth the cost of ¥400 ( about $4USD).
Excellent location with helpful friendly staff”
I spent 2 night in Kyoto Tower Hotel. The reason I booked this hotel was because of the central location which is just opposite to the JR train station and bus terminal to many tourist spots. The other reason is its tower. I had spent an evening on the tower to enjoy the view of Kyoto. The best thing is the staff in this hotel. They are very helpful especially I asked for their help to call the airlines and talk with the airlines staff since the my original flight had been cancelled. Although the room is small but it is clean which it is enough for me as a budget solo traveler. I would highly recommend this hotel to others
Friendly staff at a strategically located hotel”
On our overnight stay in Kyoto we chose this hotel for its strategic location and fair price. It is an aging hotel but facilities are maintained. Our room was spacious which is a nice change compare to other small spaced hotels. There is a public bath and observation tower you can enter for a discounted price if you are a guest. Since it is close to Kyoto station it is easy to access points of interests. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they speak fluent English too which was very helpful. They also have a tourist information office on one of the floors where you can get a lot of information on Kyoto. We used the service to ask about kimono rental and how to get to Arashiyama.
Near Train Station with Free Tickets to Tower”
I like the Kyoto Tower Hotel. It's little bit old and needs renovation but the basic ameneties are there. If you are taking the train, it's just across the station. You can also gain access to the Kyoto Tower for free. The hotel is next to Starbucks and McDonald's if you want to grab a bite. It's also near the train station with a lot of shops and restaurants. You can also grab a unlimited day-pass on local buses to tourist sites just across the street, on the train/bus station. Tip: the last floor has vending machine for cold water and ice. You can easily get a refill whenever you need to. The only dislike I have is the access of WiFi on the rooms. You can only access it on the top floor. So if you need to connect on the internet, you have to go up or stay at the main lobby (which has limited seats) for you to lounge around while surfing.
central location, big rooms”
Kyoto Tower Hotel is a centrally located place to stay especially if you are stopping over for a very short duration. It is directly across from Shin-Osaka station and a bus terminal which has all the major bus services. It is easy to get to most attractions in Kyoto. The rooms are big and comfortable and if you stay on the upper floors, the view is also great. The rooms are clean and the service staff are polite and accomodating. We also got complimentary tickets up the Kyoto Tower, which was a real perk of staying there.
Absolutely Perfect Location”
this hotel has the most convenient location. you just have to cross the street from kyoto station, where you can find bus stations+sightseeing tour buses+shinkansen+subway+haruka ltd express to kansai airport. the room sizes change depending on the architectural plan, however compared to other japanese hotels, they have reasonably enough place (actually i have rent a double room). the staff are nice and they can help you in english. besides, they handle you free ticket for the kyoto tower at which you can even see osaka during a nice weather. discount tickets are also provided by the hotel. rooms are well equipped with hair dryer, cattle and complimentary green tea. wending and ice machines in hotel floors also make your life easier.
Great Central Hotel in Kyoto”
The location is excellent, just the opposite side of Kyoto Station. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel just below Kyoto Tower and the guest can access the Tower for free. Surprisingly, the hotel locates in central city and under the highlight city tower, but the price is reasonable. It even cheaper than other ryokans around. If you are not serious to stay in western style hotel in Kyoto, this will be the good choice.
Superb Location ”
We stay at the largest room at the hotel with 2 western beds & 2 tatami futon beds. Toilet & bathroom are seperated. 2 TV in the room. Location is superb, just in frond of JR Kyoto station. Also hub for bus station. We bought daily pass of 500 yen to travel around Kyoto attractions. Special offer of 300 yen to enter Kyoto Tower reservation desk to have 360 degree view. Hundreds of shops and restaurants nearby. There is a Starbucks and drugs store 1 min away from the tower. For those who have budget, highly recommended hotel to stay!
Great location”
kyoto tower hotel is located at the heart of the kyoto. it is very easy to access to other sighseeing places in kyoto. the bus station is next to the hotel with 2 minutes walk only. at night, the area near by the hotel is surrounding with the shopping center. the hotel also provide the free ticket for the guest to go up to the tower to view the kyoto. it is worth to stay in kyoto tower hotel.
Very well located Kyoto hotel”
The Kyoto Tower Hotel is immediately across from Kyoto station and served our overnight stay requirements very well. The service is efficient, the room is comfortable, smallish but okay by Japanese standards, and with the usual amenities. They pulled a bit of a switcheroo on me on the website offering me an upgrade (implying it was free) and then charging for it with no indication of what we were getting for the "upgrade" before it was too late to back out without fully cancelling the reservation. Very bad form.
The Best 3-4 Star Hotel In Kyoto”
I stayed at the Kyoto Tower Hotel to to visit some of the best attractions Kyoto Japan has to offer. The experience was amazing complemented by the great facilities and staffs of this hotel. The location is so perfect since this hotel is less than a 100 meter away from the train and bus stations. The free food they offer for breakfast is very good. The hotel is also located near the shopping commercial district. I had a great experience and for sure will be coming back to this hotel.
Brilliant Hotel right pop Kyoto Station”
Stayed at the Kyoto Tower Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is right opposite the main entrance of Kyoto station. With the bus terminal opposite the station too, this makes it a perfectly located hotel for all sightseeing needs. I took the bus mostly to all the main sites. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, Family Marts around. The room was clean and of a good size. Staff were very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. I would stay here again.
Kyoto tower hotel at a glance”
We had a very nice stay at Kyoto Tower Hotel. We drove and had to park in a lot down the block and walk our luggage to the hotel in the heat of summer. But once inside we found the staff very pleasant and helpful. We received complimentary tickets to the tower which was nice. We had buffet breakfast every morning in the hotel at a small but charming restaurant. The rooms were small but cozy, clean and comfortable, although I wish I had more room for my stuff in the bathroom. We enjoyed cocktails and appetizers at the Skybar, which had lovely views and great service. Overall, a nice place to stay.
Reasonable hotel”
Location is perfect. Locating right in front of Kyoto train station and city bus terminal, our journey was much easier than expected. Hotel staff are very kind and their service is excellent. Breakfast buffet was nice and the rate was reasonable. Facility is kind of old but nicely maintained, which made the ambience of the room cozy. In addition, they offer some discount coupon for Kyoto tower, public bath, and restaurants. I would stay this hotel again when I visit Kyoto next time.
Very good and pleasant hotel”
As I've already mentioned the hotel has very good location. Its restaurants are affordable and offer tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was really surprised to find, that in lounge bar you can have very good lunch with soup, main course, salad buffet, selection of fresh fruit, cold tea and coffee and warm coffee for as little as 1.050 Japanese yens. The service is quick, kind and efficient. They say Japan is an expensive country, but not at Kyoto Tower Hotel!
Great location”
The location is just a block from the Kyoto Station, excellent location. Room was larger than most in Japan, very clean but the décor was a bit tired. We booked a room with the breakfast included, it was a good spread, worth it. Also, the Kyoto Tower Hotel has a GREAT food court in the basement. Locals love it and they have a wide variety of food options to choose from. If you are in Kyoto for a short stay, this hotel is a really good option to consider.
