Great place to stay. Loved it all!”
Great place to stay. Loved it all!
perfect budget inn”
This was the perfect budget inn for me and my friend. The place is very clean! It's small and compact, but that just adds to the minimalist charm. The bathrooms are communal but not packed. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (I remember someone even cooked pasta). The other residents were respectful/quiet during our stay so some of the areas being common wasn't a problem. It's also very near the station. Around a five-minute leisurely walk away. Only con is I don't think I saw any convenience stores around? So get food before you go back.
Exceptional Value for the Money!”
The hostel is in prime shape, looking like it just has been renovated. The staff is friendly and the rooms and facilities all clean and tidy. A metro-station is nearby which directly connects you with the city in an instant. Overall, I never stayed in a hostel this good, especially not in consideration of the price. A clear recommendation.
We love everything about the hotel. The location, easy to access from Kyoto Station”
The location is a bit far from Kyoto Station (around 20 mins), and you need to transfer once. From JR Kyoto Station, take JR Rokujozi, and transfer to subway Ishida station. Take exit 2, walk left and you find the hotel on your left.
Highly recommended ”
Room and toilet is very clean and comfortable. Staffs are so friendly and helpful. Luggage keeping available after check out. Really value for money and for those doesn’t mind of sharing bathroom, this is a highly recommend place. Definitely will come back here again if I got the chance to visit Kyoto again =) (P/S: The food and services of next door coffee shop is very good too)
Very clean place!”
- this place is very clean!! They dont allow your shoes to be used inside, you need to remove them and leave in a cabinet before you step on to their floor - the staff was also very nice and friendly, he even stayed til 3am just to say goodbye when we had an early checkout - bring your own slippers though as there is a charge if you request from them, the floor does not have a heater and can be cold during winter so its best to have your slippers with you - the hotel is near a subway station but not covered by the jr pass, nearest jr line is a kilometer away
very clean and cosy”
Location a bit far from train station but still within walking distance. Nice modern sleek design and very well kept and maintain squeeky clean. Great shared facilities like pantry and bathroom (separate male and female). Japanese are strict about people making noise especially after midnight 11pm. And they dont allow food inside the room but you can enjoy your food at the pantry while watching tv and hangout with other traveller
Very clean, nice facilities, lots of rules bit its ok, it teaches me how to be a responsible traveler. I had a great time here. Close to Ishida Station just 2 to 5 mins walk. Or rokujizo station if with jr pass but takes 20mins walk
Take 20 minutes from nearest ishida station to kyoto station and from there, easily access to all attraction spots. (not big concern because we used subway and bus pass) Clean and quiet room. Has a 7-11 nearby. Overall had a pleasant stay there
THE BEST BARGAIN IN KYOTO”
Place was clean, staff was amazing. People who smoke may find it cumbersome but, it's all good. Guests need to clean up after themselves and trash needs to be properly cleaned and separated. Very good outdoor hot bath as well. 😍 The staff went the extra mile in helping to keep my item that was left behind after I checked out. I returned to Kyoto after 4 days to retrieve the items and they were all smiles and supportive. 10/10 would definitely stay again. Less than 5 mins walk from Ishida Station and there's a great cafe right opposite with awesome food.
The staff is kind, the cleanliness is good but the room is very small”
I choose to pay at the property and i have to pay more tax ¥200/night/person excluded from agoda tax. The staff said that the tax is kyoto governments’ rule. So we have to pay by cash.
Nice place, good staff, very clean But quite far from kyoto station
Would stay again”
Stayed 2 nights, very helpful staff, great outdoor bath (needs to be booked 30 min in advance), has laundry, dryer doesn't work very well.
Lovely guesthouse and staff!!”
The staff were all super friendly, the rooms are small but really comfortable and there was plenty of space for the two of us. The train station is about a 15 minute walk away and from there its really easy to get to places like Kyoto and Inari. There's heaps of food around and a family mart just down the road for snacks and cheap groceries! Over all we had a really great stay
Overall cleanliness is okay but the shower room is limited (only 2 for the whole premise), the location is a lil far from town. Please be aware there is a subway station nearby, don’t get confused with railway station/JR dtation
Good for solo travellers, but not for couples .”
Shared bathrooms and shared toilets. The facilities were very clean. It is good for solo travellers. However, sexual actions are prohibited... even in the room. You can't have sexual relationship with your lover even in the room. You'd better know this before you book this place ;)
Comfortable, Clean, Near to Ishida Station, A bit far from Kyoto Subway Station”
The guest house is clean, comfortable. There are 2 shared shower rooms, 4 toilets for ladies at upstair. The hotel located near to Ishida subway station. However, it required about 20-30mins rides of subway back to Hotel from Kyoto Station.
quite perfect, the best value-for-money place I've ever stayed”
(1) the walls are thin, the hostel has a lot of rules in order to maintain a nice environment for all, thus, the cooperation of other travelers are of utmost importance - I stayed for three nights, it was perfect for the first two nights, then on my third night, I was practically SURROUNDED by a group of travelers who TALKED and SANG and WATCHED VIDEOS WITH SPEAKERPHONES both late at night and early in the morning, it was quite horrible, but it's not the hostel's fault (2) the location is far, you have to bear that in mind (30 minutes ride on subway from Kyoto Station), thus the price is so value-for-money (3) I got to explore an extremely residential area in Kyoto, which I took it as an added bonus (4) the outdoor bath is a godsend for my tired feet - HOWEVER, I would appreciate it much more if there is a lock to the main door of the outdoor bath (or, at least, kindly put up blinds behind the door, to avoid anyone any embarrassment when someone opens the door by mistake)
Although it is not in the Kyoto city, it's a good place to stay if you want to go to Uchi or some other interesting places nearby. Not far from the metro station. A good supermarket also near the place. The room is clean and comfortable. Also has free tea in the fridge. Good open space. The staff are friendly. The price of the place is very nice. Good experience.
The only thing i kinda dislike is because of I can’t use my one day pass bus to go to the hostel due to i found it difficult to go there by bus. The room is clean and there is also outdoor bath but reservation is needed if you wanna use it. The shower room for ladies is only two stall and you need to get in line. The staff was kind and very helpful. I dunno if i wanna stay there anymore because of the location is too far for me.
