Old Building But Well Maintained ”
I got the room upgraded for free, surprisingly. Which was very big and spacious for a solo traveler who only stayed for a night. But everything in the room was nice and as expected. As in, I got what I paid for. Air con worked well. hot water too. The sanitary tools were basic but quite enough. Except for the breakfast, because I made a no-breakfast reservation. The staff were nice. Overall that was a satisfactory experience. Just one thing: I stayed at room 421. I suggest the management might want to check the hand basin because the water ditch kind of stuck that I couldn’t use the hand basin properly.

Great hotel and worth for money ”
Great hotel and worth for money with good facilities. Located in the centre of Padang City, so you can easily go to culinary spot or buy souvenirs and gifts of food. Because Padang City was famous for its flavor of food rich in spices and spicy. But need some improvement on the variations of breakfast menu and staff services. Check-in time takes so long and need improvement so that hotel guest can easily check-in ontime and they can take a rest or do their culinary journey as soon as possible.

Change for the Worse”
This was our first time at the Bumiminang in several years and also since it has become the Kyriad Hotel. What we remembered as a vibrant hotel has now become dark, musty, and smoky (apparently guests are permitted to smoke in the open areas!). The front desk staff are still fairly friendly, and they accommodated our family to switch to a room with a bigger bed. But we still had to wait until 2pm since that is their official check-in time. The overall condition of the hotel feels like it is not being maintained anymore. The carpets smell musty/moldy in the hallways, the furniture in the room was badly scratched and chipped from years of use, and the bed did not have much spring left in it. For a four-star hotel, this room was a sad example. Fortunately the staff manage to keep the rooms clean and all the bathroom facilities work well. Our breakfast experience the next morning was met with a smoky cigarette smell as soon as the elevator doors opened. We'll look elsewhere next time.

Quite Big Hotel at Padang City”
I spent a night at this hotel before catching my next fight the next morning. This is consider a 4 or 5* hotel eventhough the hotel quite old already. A check in process need to take into account as i and some of the guest have to wait for more then 15 minutes just to check in into the room. To overcome this issue, the hotel management gave us a welcoming juice and i appreciated it so much. The room Itself is quite spacious and comfortable and i like it so much. Will stay at this hotel again if the price is acceptable.

Incredible value, great hotel for the price”
I was blown away by how classy and good this place was, considering the budget price we paid ($47 AUD per room). Big, comfy, modern rooms, big buffet breakfast, decent size pool, attractive looking big hotel, excellent service, nice food and superb location (easy walking distance to everything). Excellent vale for money and a bit of a treat if you're on a budget.

Looks better than the stock pictures. Bigger rooms than all newer hotels built post 2009 quake. good attempt to stay modern in deco but still has room for improvement. No bathtub. Loved both pools, water's lukewarm eventho we jumped in at 8am after breakfast. Extra bed (mattress only) for the kids cost 250k Rupiah. Breakfast for kids cost 45k Rupiah. Wifi is OK. Staff very helpful. KFC next door. Overall pleasant stay.

I booked this hotel in peak season of dec, i think the price is cheaper than the other 4 star hotel. I have no choice for non smoking room, i have been given a smoking room. It was terrible..the smell of old furniture n smoke mixed and make my head spinning.i have to open my window..n it doesnt work. i think it is not good for your health to stay a little bit longer. the hotel need serious maintenance..the toilet is smell n not to clean.the amenties is standar, the blow hairdryer is really old, the refrigerator is not running,the furniture has to be changed.. Lets me think twice to stay in this hotel I am not comfortable to stay at 4 star hotel..
