Travelled with 2 friends this month (February). It's a decent place to stay when you are in a budget. They are now renovating the place so I think La Anclar will get even better soon 👍🏼 They have fast wifi and the free breakfast is good. I just hope we could choose what to be served. There are also few police in front of the hometel, which we feel more safe. Will consider booking at this place again if we return to Davao. 👍🏼
Good hotel for solo and budget travelers.”
All in all, my stay at La Anclar Hometel was pleasant. It is a good place to stay with nice and friendly staff. The rooms are clean, linens were replaced and toiletries replenished daily. Contrary to what was advertised, wifi was not available at my room, but I was provided with a cord to connect through LAN. Their staff is very courteous and helpful too. However, the room assigned to me was at the 4th floor and I had to take 6 flights of stairs because there was no elevator.
clean, nice and great service!”
I definitely enjoyed my stay in this hometel..The rooms are very quiet that was the reason why I was ablt to rest well. My boyfriend and I were treated well by the staff and they attended to all our needs and queries to the best that they can. If ever I'll visit Davao again, I'll definitely stay in La Anclar again.
Comforts of home coupled with great service ”
My companion and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy hometel, a cross between a guest house and a hotel. We attended a conference at Apo View Hotel which is just walking distance and La Anclar Hometel provided value for money. During our stay, we were able to squeeze in a stroll at People's Park, dinner at Antonio's (took a cab for this),another evening at Jack's Ridge, shopping at Aldevinco Mall, a visit to the T'boli Weaving Center en route to the airport. For the most part, to get to the sights or to good restaurants, you have to take a cab.The hotel only served breakfast which was OK/filling; it was a different menu every day.
You get the value of what you pay.”
My friends and I had a short trip to Davao. I was looking for nice hotel that will suite our budget. Just only few days before our trip I found La Anclar Hometel. They have clean rooms and nice staff.Very accommodating.
I loved my stay here in La Anclar. As a solo traveler I felt safe and secured. Also this accommodation is located near jeepney stops where the jeepney routes can take you to sasa wharf (for those who are planning to go to Samal Island), Malls (such as SM Lanang and Abreeza Mall), It is also quite near to Roxas Market, Aldevinco(where you can buy pasalubongs) People's Park, and City Hall. Their rates are affordable too. Their staffs are accommodating and courteous. Great accommodation to stay in. 👍
Relax and Comfortable to stay in first stay in Dav”
Staff arrange me the special tour and that was very helpful. If I have a chance to go to Davao, I will stay La Anclar Hometal again.
Great location, clean rooms & service w a smile”
the guard was very accommodating. as soon as he saw our cab stopped in front of the hotel, he initiated on getting our luggage and helped us inside la anclar. the room is clean, cr is quite small but clean. they also have friendly staff/s. wifi is fast
Excellent place and location to stay. ”
Highly recomended to all city goers. quality for little money..Great place, great staff Well what a suprize i got when staying at this place. We are talking of traveling down a very busy filipino street thats buzzing with life. The area very comercialized with every day life of a filipino man/women. Food places where you can buy steak and rice with ice tea for less than £1, Stores from pharmacy to foods. Internaional banks. Airport just 30 mins away for as little as 110 pesos thats less than £2. A beach area to paradise and blue jazz island resorts. Its endless. From my exsperience the hotels ide stayed at from £35 up the quality i would call bad,, Like an english hostal with very basic rooms. Not here!.... I thought what am i going to get here... I entered what looked like a converted High rise house. On entering I was greeted by security and reception staff with a very warm welcoming. The first thing I noticed was how clean and new it looked. Walking up the stairs on marble floors I thought no It can not be true.. It was like walking through time.. 1940s outside 2010 inside. I opened my room door to be hit by this cool breeze from the air con and a real clean well dressed room. Double glazing and just unbelievable from what i had stayed in all week.this room cost me for 2 persons and was worth every penny. If you want quality for the money u pay being so little then this is the place. I am highley reomending this place. When Im in Davao next i will not even think of looking elsewhere. I wish the owner and the staff of this place the best. Well done for such a beautiful maintained place.
Good Value and Staff Eager to Please”
The room was compact, without being cramped, but after all, we only sleep in them, not live in them. It was well appointed, nicely decorated and bright. The "water-saver" shower took a bit of getting used to. The staff were always helpful and obliging. I did suggest to the Receptionist at Check Out that they publicize the Hometel more with the Davao taxi drivers, as none of them, that we used, had any idea where the place was.
Nice location, great value for money”
Location is right smack in Davao Downtown, we walked from here to everywhere: People's Park, museums, etc. It's also pretty close to Luz Kinilaw where the tuna kinilaw and bagaybay are a must-try. Towels and toiletries are provided and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast served consists of a cup of rice, some sauteed vegetables, fruit, egg, and meat of the day (ours was tocino for the first day and fish fillet for the second day). However, in room 207, internet connectivity was an issue - I connected to the wifi and it only said "Obtaining IP address" for hours so I just used my mobile data. Also, there were only two wall plugs in room 207 and the fridge and TV screen and receivers would need to be plugged in there if you need those facilities so there won't be any room for your chargers, etc. - bring an extension cord. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and made our Davao vacation all the more amazing.
Accessible and affordable ”
It’s in the heart of Davao City. Accessible to most tourist spots in the city. It’s also near Roxas Ave where the Night Market is located near Ateneo de Davao University 3 of us booked a family room for 4 and it was a nice stay. There’s WiFi available and the room is clean, same goes for the bathroom. I’m really picky when it comes to toilets and they have clean toilets and working hot and cold shower. Rooms are well-ventilated and there’s Cable TV available. WiFi tends to be weak at night but if you have mobile data to assist you, it’s all good. There’s also free breakfast during our stay so that helped us worry less on the things we need to have during our stay. Overall, the place is accessible, the people are friendly and the stay is really affordable. Excited to see Davao again.
Good day! thank you for the great review for our hotel, we hope to see you again here in davao. have a great day!
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
location is very convenience. staff are very nice and accomodating. rooms are clean and very comfortable.over-all, i enjoy my stay at la anclar hometel.
accesible, near school, affordable”
La anclar hometel is very nice that i will refer to all my friends
Short walk going to roxas night market, city hall, san pedro church, davao museum. Lots of restaurant (low price!) in the neighborhood.. staff are great and polite. Clean room and toilet. Free breakfast and best of all, very affordable..
"A very NICE place and affordable to stay"”
Base on our experience, we had a good accommodation and we had the right choice of hometel it's near to shopping malls and other stuff. the room is clean and very homey, what I like most was they didn't touch any of our personal belongings scattered on the table, they just leave it the way we left it. They didn't even arrange some of our things, for me it was just fine and good. They only clean the area changed the bedding's and clean the comfort room. The staff are friendly. But one thing I would want them to improve; They should get the religion info of the guest so they will know, what to serve breakfast in the morning. Like on our case, we don't eat pork, then they gave as longanisa pork. But they did changed it and it was just fine. Totality we recommend the place to stay.
Cozy room, accomodating personnel, nice breakfast”
The LaAnclar Hotel is very affordable, cozy & I felt I was just at home. There is always a ready drinking water outside the lobby. The hosekeepers are very polite. Morings are perked up by their simple yet nutritiuos breakfast complete with vegetable and fruits. Next time we visit davao, we will stay in the same hotel and experience a worry-free stay. Thanks to the management and staff... Mabuhay!
Right at the center of central Davao”
money well spent in this hotel! it's been my second time to stay here and I find the hotel worth staying for those who wanted to stay in Davao in a tight budget. with free wifi, breakfast and water in a dispenser i couldn't ask for more!!!
Clean and centrally located”
The hotel is located in what used to be the main city center (Claveria or C.M. Recto St.) although many developments are now going on elsewhere. Still, many jeeps and taxis ply the area so from this spot, it's actually very strategic in going to the different parts of the city. Although breakfast is included in the package, servings is small and the choices are limited. The restaurant is also open only during breakfast so prepare to always eat out (which should actually be the case in Davao!). Overall, my stay was comfortable and did not interfere with my business purpose.
Okay hotel for price”
this is okay hotel for price & room, very good wifi this hotel right in davao city about 45 mins from airport this place has no real restaurant & doe's not serve any food other then breakfast & as i was told "cash only" when i wanted to use my credit card. also staff in there restaurant not to friendly evening staff & management very nice & helpful will i return i dunno we will see whats out there when the time comes
