Really great value for money! The room is very spacious and clean. Shower has functioning water heater. And wifi is relatively fast. There are water dispensers (w/ hot water) on every floor. Staff is very approachable. It is in close proximity to everything you'll need and with access to public transpo.

Very clean room and bathroom, air con was cold. The most bang for my buck part was the very accommodating and considerate staff. I asked for a room with a window (since I'm anxious about not seeing the he outside ) despite na the original one set for us was one without. Plenty of food stalls outside, no need to go to the Roxas Night Market. Only down part was the road construction outside. Overall, it was a great stay!

Stayed there for 5 nights and everything was a breeze. I like my room at the 4th floor. My room has a mini fridge and all staff are really helpful. There's also free h/c drinking water available at the ground floor. Would definitely stay here again as it is located at the city center.

No Tv connection. AC in room 419 did not work properly. No staff will help you to carry luggage. Even free water and hot water they are providing. But staffs were good.

The shower and bidet in the toilet are old. They don't function very well, they should change it. There were a few spiderwebs in the toilet as well. No remote for the TV. I wasn't able to watch it during my stay. The internet is really sloooooowwwww. Even my cellular phone's signal is really weak inside my room.

Wifi was ok. Bathroom was kinda small. There were a few mosquitoes. Overall, the room was ok. Housekeeping knocked on the door insistently. Yes, we forgot to hang the Do Not Disturb sign but probably she should have stopped knocking after two tries, right?

For 500 pesos a night, it was a good place to stay. You get the basic bed, towel, sheets. Don't expect more like room service, under staffed, employee etiquette. The toilet & bath was decent enough, good water pressure and hot & cold water is available.

Decent Hometel”
Travelled with 2 friends this month (February). It's a decent place to stay when you are in a budget. They are now renovating the place so I think La Anclar will get even better soon 👍🏼 They have fast wifi and the free breakfast is good. I just hope we could choose what to be served. There are also few police in front of the hometel, which we feel more safe. Will consider booking at this place again if we return to Davao. 👍🏼

All in all, my stay at La Anclar Hometel was pleasant. It is a good place to stay with nice and friendly staff. The rooms are clean, linens were replaced and toiletries replenished daily. Contrary to what was advertised, wifi was not available at my room, but I was provided with a cord to connect through LAN. Their staff is very courteous and helpful too. However, the room assigned to me was at the 4th floor and I had to take 6 flights of stairs because there was no elevator.

I definitely enjoyed my stay in this hometel..The rooms are very quiet that was the reason why I was ablt to rest well. My boyfriend and I were treated well by the staff and they attended to all our needs and queries to the best that they can. If ever I'll visit Davao again, I'll definitely stay in La Anclar again.

Comforts of home coupled with great service ”
My companion and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy hometel, a cross between a guest house and a hotel.We attended a conference at Apo View Hotel which is just walking distance and La Anclar Hometel provided value for money. During our stay, we were able to squeeze in a stroll at People's Park, dinner at Antonio's (took a cab for this),another evening at Jack's Ridge, shopping at Aldevinco Mall, a visit to the T'boli Weaving Center en route to the airport. For the most part, to get to the sights or to good restaurants, you have to take a cab.The hotel only served breakfast which was OK/filling; it was a different menu every day.

I loved my stay here in La Anclar. As a solo traveler I felt safe and secured. Also this accommodation is located near jeepney stops where the jeepney routes can take you to sasa wharf (for those who are planning to go to Samal Island), Malls (such as SM Lanang and Abreeza Mall), It is also quite near to Roxas Market, Aldevinco(where you can buy pasalubongs) People's Park, and City Hall. Their rates are affordable too. Their staffs are accommodating and courteous. Great accommodation to stay in. 👍
