Decent Hometel”
Travelled with 2 friends this month (February). It's a decent place to stay when you are in a budget. They are now renovating the place so I think La Anclar will get even better soon 👍🏼 They have fast wifi and the free breakfast is good. I just hope we could choose what to be served. There are also few police in front of the hometel, which we feel more safe. Will consider booking at this place again if we return to Davao. 👍🏼

The Internet sucks each time you have to ask the reception to reset. Overall food stall are nearby some junk food BBQ. There is a 7 11 in the vicinity so that solves your 24 hrs needs. Surrounding is safe. You can go to the Night Market full of food and clothing just take the bicycle ride will cost you about 20peso but be careful to ask the fare before you light the bicycle. If you can walk everything is within a 2 km radius.

We checked-in late. The two lady Receptionist were rude and unprofessional. They need customer service seminar. It's not appropriate to talk to each other and swearing while serving customer. I would like to commend rose the receptionist through the day for being so helpful and accomodating. Lastly, I think they need to wash the shower curtain in the bathroom cause it smells of urine.

Nice location, great value for money”
Location is right smack in Davao Downtown, we walked from here to everywhere: People's Park, museums, etc. It's also pretty close to Luz Kinilaw where the tuna kinilaw and bagaybay are a must-try. Towels and toiletries are provided and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast served consists of a cup of rice, some sauteed vegetables, fruit, egg, and meat of the day (ours was tocino for the first day and fish fillet for the second day). However, in room 207, internet connectivity was an issue - I connected to the wifi and it only said "Obtaining IP address" for hours so I just used my mobile data. Also, there were only two wall plugs in room 207 and the fridge and TV screen and receivers would need to be plugged in there if you need those facilities so there won't be any room for your chargers, etc. - bring an extension cord. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and made our Davao vacation all the more amazing.

Miserable poorly run hotel”
1st room bed broken and chair broken, insisted i booked a single room when Agoda receipt was for a double delux... changed room, TV didn't work all electric sockets were broken and not fixed.. Changed to a 3td room, again sockets broken and dangerous, this could so easy be fixed, water was constantly off so no shower had to use a bucket, room was infested with ants have pictures to prove it, room poorly serviced, no toilet paper. Breakfast room too small for number of quests and not enough food, if not first in plates empty had to wait 20 mins for food to come in drips and drabs, WIFI constantly off ... Ive traveled the world for 30 years this is by far the worst run hotel Ive even seen.. a little attention could fix all the problems but the owner just dosen't care, take your money and goodbye ... Avoid, sleeping on the street not much worse ..
