The perfect stay”
La Casita Mercedes is the most beautiful house in Makati. Jon Ramos, the owner and host of Casita, has rebuild this old spanish colonial house with the most delicate sense of style and decour. Jon is the most accomodating and hospitable host you will find anywhere. And he made my 3 week stay in Metro Manila feel like I was home - from day one. The staff at Casita are also pefectly balancing being professional and at the same time giving you a warm, welcoming and personal treatment. I was working a lot durng night time which meant that I spent a lot of my day time in Casita. And I really felt at home. I feel very blessed that I found La Casita Mercedes, and I will be coming back to Makati just so that I can stay at my second home again. Thanks, Jon and your sweet staff
HI Jannik, it is our pleasure to welcome you in La Casita. we look forward to welcoming you back!
Kind of reconciled me with Manila”
La Casita Mercedes was a recommendation by a young spanish architect and kind of reconciled me with Manila for two main reasons: a comfortable stay with familiar atmosphere and clever located in a quiet sidestreet of Makati close to the airport and the Greenbelt mall. Only a few minutes walk to streetlife. The house mirrors the good taste of its owner inside and outside, a rare oasis of privacy and beauty in this special megacity. Rooms can be shaded and cooled efficiently for good sleep. Excellent breakfast.
A real gem”
We live in Manila and just wanted a get away. This place is literally 5 min away from the Manila traffic and noise, and yet it is peaceful as in a lovely countryside village. In the morning we could hear birds, roosters and sounds of life, and no car! The house is just lovely, decorated with great taste and very comfortable. The staff was amazing, the lady who received us really made sure we had everything we needed, she cooked a very good breakfast for us. She let me study in the little patio and offered me some fruit juice to refresh myself. We just felt pampered! Plus the price is way cheaper than any standard hotel in Makati. I can only recommend this place and if I have visitors to Manila, I would book their rooms in Casita Mercedes or nowhere else!
Superb Hidden Boutique Hotel ”
Located in the neighbourhood of Poblacion area, Makati, Manila, La Casita Mercedes offers a boutique hotel experiences such as : historical building, friendly staffs (Raechel and Thet are really helpful), privacy, strategic location (you can just walk to bars, cafes, restos, and jipney shelters), even you can read some various books about Philipines' tourist destinations to Philipines' history.
Fantastic Service and Location in Makati! ”
The La Casita Mecerdes was a fantastic place to stay on my first trip to Manila. The staff and the owner were super friendly and helpful. They also have a small shared kitchen and dining area, which was very convienent. The staff at La Casita Mercedes were very helpful, with all my questions and helped me where they could. Thank you Raechel, Joyce and Jenna for making my stay so easy and enjoyable!
An excellent family hotel in colonial style - felt like home”
We had a very short stay in La Casita Mercedes but from the first moment we were welcomed to the hotel we felt like a home. It was so well decorated and so beautiful inside even better in real than on the pictures. The staff was very lovely and room comfortable in great location. Just around the corner some local restaurants and bars. I would defiately come back. Thanks for all!! See you again, Lucie and Dan
Quaint atmosphere and vintage interiors”
My boyfriend and I stayed in La Casita since Fete de la Musique was happening in the city. It was a stone's throw away from all the hippest and coolest bars and pubs in Metro Manila. Apart from that, it's near Century City Mall and the rest of the Makati Central Business District. Our favorite thing about La Casita is their friendly and accommodating staff who served us delicious breakfast. We'll recommend this place for sure to our family and friends. Thank you Ms. Jena for your warm hospitality!
thank you for staying with us!
Thank you :)”
I stayed here for a week. Here is a clean, comfortable and friendly. The friendly hotel staff was always gladly welcomed. I was happy with antique furniture built by 1930. I would like to see staff already ~ Thank you La casita mercedes.
Great hotel in a quiet residential area near Rockwell”
I am a repeat business guest of La Casita Mercedes because it represents tremendous value and the staff is extremely attentive. The owner, John Ramos, has created a wonderful bed and breakfast in the middle of a quiet neighborhood adjacent to Rockwell three blocks behind Kalayaan Avenue and J P Rizal.
Charming and Outstanding Value”
House is very charming, room was clean and functional. The bathroom, while small, was nicely appointed and very clean. The AC in my single room was very quiet and efficient and the ceiling fan kept the air circulating nicely. The staff of two women were friendly and helpful. They also made great breakfasts and assisted me with my transportation needs. When I checked in after 11 pm, the owner was on the phone to welcome me--a nice touch. I would definitely go back to La Casita next time I'm in Manila.
Nice renovated old house in historic part of Makati”
La Casita is an old house from the 1930s renovated to become a bed and breakfast and I thank the owners for doing so. I love staying at neighborly places and this old house really took my fancy. The solo room with the veranda was lovely, and if you do not mind a small shower then this is ok. Very clean and it has basic amenities and wifi, but no cable TV. The area is walkable to and from the CBD and lots of cafes, restos and bars in the vicinity. The only problem is parking because the street is narrow. I'd definitely go back again, thank you La Casita!
Thank you for staying at Casita!
Feels like home”
Always a treat to stay at La Casita Mercedes. Feels like a home away from home. Walking distance to places I need to go to. Stayed 3 nights and booked three rooms with my husband, teenage kids, and mother. We will stay again.
Beautiful and Comfortable”
Our stay at La Casita was nothing short of wonderful. We arrived very late because but we were accommodated by the receptionist well. The dog at the reception was very kind and cute! Checking in was a breeze. We were given a welcome drink of Calamansi juice that was freshly squeezed and not too sweet and sour. The bedroom was clean with a nostalgic design. The room lights reminded me of my younger years which was nice. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and the whole stay was just great. It was a little noisy outside because of the construction in the morning but we didn't mind.
Thank you Isabel! Hope to welcome you back soon.
Charming B&B”
John Ramos' "La Casita Mercedes" is a charmingly restored, well located, great value for money B&B. Walking distance to Century and Rockwell Malls. Thoroughly recommended.
a gem in Makati”
forget cookie cutter accommodations. La Casita Mercedes is a charming gem in a real local neighborhood. feels like staying in a private house. been there before and will be back.
Thanks Mona!
Perfect! ”
It was awesome! If you're looking for a quiet place that is still in the metro, La Casita Mercedes is the place for you!
Beautiful old house”
The guest-house is beautiful inside and out, and in a very good location. It is in walking distance to the Power Plant Mall (which has some good eating places), and also within walking distance to Makati Ave (which has lots of public transport options). The girls working there are all lovely and make you feel very welcome. The breakfasts are also very nice. My only suggestion would be that perhaps there could be thicker curtains over the windows. These could help to block out light and sound (which I imagine would be inevitable anywhere in Manila- it's a very busy place!). Despite my comfy bed, I kept getting woken at 6am by light and noise. However, I highly recommend this place- I can't imagine there's anywhere better in Manila!
Coziest Stay!”
We had the loveliest time at La Casita! The vibe of the hotel is a cozy Fil-Spanish home and every little details feels so homely and warm. Our room was very clean. Staff are the nicest. Breakfast was decent. In entirety, we’ll be back and definitely recommend this to my friends!
Thank you Karla, we look forward to welcoming you back to La Casita!
Elegant place in Manila”
A rather elegant house in Makati Manila. The location is very good tucked away in the heart of Makati. I stayed in the balcony room and enjoyed my time very much. The balcony is actually a large verandah and lovely to sit out on ( however there is a barking dog across the street but there is nothing the hotel can do about that). The room was smallish but clean and had a fan and air con. You have to be let out and in which is slightly irksome but is also very secure and safe. I fully recommend this hotel.
Thank you for staying at Casita
Exceptional”
Cozy, clean, homey. Convenient location if you wish to be close to the bars of Makati Avenue, but still settle on a quiet neighborhood. A bit of hassle that everytime a guest wishes to leave or enter the Casita, a staff has to unlock the gates. Sure an added assurance that its for security purposes, but man, I got shy to leave on the 3rd time because I kept bugging the staff.
HI Paul! No need to be hesitant or shy to ask for assistance. the staff is there to assist you during your stay. :) Hope to welcome you back again.
