good price - good staff - & good everything”
well, actually there are many things i have to say about this hotel .. i stayed 5 nights in the la fenice hotel and i had a well sized room on the first floor no:103.. the room is cleaned everyday .. good location and barberini metro station it takes two minutes by walk it's not far and also spagna metro station, the staff is very and very friendly and helpful. i've never eaten breakfast because i wake up late in the afternoon so i won't talk about it anyways, i was sitting everyday and every night in the roof terrace with a great view & there is a mini bar for free,by the way , the owner of the hotel (he has a four hotels) , three hotels in the same area and one is far, when i checkout i pay it a tax 24 euro but it's okay, i would recommending everyone chooses this hotel ... i'd like to stay again if i get back in rome

My husband and I, along with another couple spent 4 days in Rome before boarding a cruise ship. Our stay at La Fenice was fanstastic! We wanted a place that was nice and clean, but didn't break the bank since we were out and about Rome most of the day and only was at the hotel at night. La Fenice was a fantastic choice for this. The free breakfast was awesome and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Staff recommendations on authentic Italian restaurants was spot on! We loved every minute of our stay at La Fenice!

A Very Good Option”
We enjoyed ur stay at La Fenice. The rooms were well kept with modern, clean bathrooms. Although they were a little small, they were big enough for our purposes (we didn't plan to spend much of our time in Rome hanging in hotel rooms!). The rooftop terrace was fantastic! Breakfast was sufficient and the happy hour drinks on the roof were lovely and the free Prosecco was a big bonus! The best part of La Fenice was the location. We were able to walk to all the major sights and piazzas. We would happily stay there again next time we are in Rome!

Small, smart hotel ”
Spent one night at La Fenice as a group of 7 adults and one young child. Very well located, spotlessly clean, rooms were small but very comfortable. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and excellent coffee among other things. Staff was particularly friendly and accommodating and made us feel right at home. Check in and check out went smoothly and were very quick. Would definitely stay there again!

Rome visit”
A small size hotel, close to the center.lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and easy enough to walk to all the major sites. Due to traffic control its a bit of a pain to get to in a taxi and drop off is awkward. We had booked 2 x double rooms with standard occupancy. Unfortunately when we arrived a mistake had been made, They had booked us one double room for 2 people. They were full and suggested we share. That was not acceptable and too be honest after seeing room its suitable for a couple to share but not two singles. Far too intimate! They offered us a full refund if we wanted to go elsewhere but we had luggage and did not know anywhere around. Anyway the receptionist phoned the company and they agreed she could find us somewhere else. In the end the best they could do was me in this hotel and my friend in another around the corner. We agreed as we had no choice but it was not really ideal and her room was much less than we paid. Agoda did refund us the difference but again not really acceptable. La Fenice said it was fine for my friend to have breakfast in hotel so that was ok. My room was small! It had recently been done up and was lovely. The bathroom was wonderful although could benefit from a shelf or something in bathroom. The bedroom could benefit from a full length mirror. There is a mini bar thats free but it only had a few cans in it. They were refilled though daily if i used any. the room was clean although there was old soap left in shower area. Overall i was satisfied and it was really quiet which was a bonus. Breakfast was simple but adequate but the room is tiny and if one person wanted to move everyone had to stand! Upon arrival back in uk I discovered i had left something in the safe. I immediately rang hotel who went straight to room and found it. They were very very good about it and had it couried to me although at my cost of course.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of Rome”
We had a well sized room on the first floor; the room was clean, however the bathroom probably would need some renewing but it was perfectly clean as well. The staff is very friendly, always at your service. It's fantastic to have breakfast or enjoy the free drinks (selection of wines) in the evening on the roof terrace with its beautiful view. Also there is a mini bar for free of charge, which is lovely. The location is great; Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, metro station are all just 3 mins away, endless number of restaurants all around. It's a small and quiet hotel, highly recommended if you want to discover Rome and also want to chill a bit.

My brother and I went for a day and a half visit in Rome. The location of this hotel is perfect if you seek saving money with transport. In our case, we both a hop on hop off tickets. From the hotel we would walk 5 min to one of their stops. Perfect!! The reception staff was always very friendly and helpful. I suppose if you are big family, this is not a hotel for you. As the premises are very compact. Very much like any hotel in central Rome or Paris. But for friends, couples or singles it is perfect. I hope you enjoy your stay like we did.

Exceptional”
Room was a bit dated but the location is absolutely PERFECT a few minutes to Trevi, Spanish steps, Borghese park/piazza, 20 min walk to Colosseum and 20 min to Vatican. There was no electric tea kettle in room and so if you wanted hot drink at night you were out of luck - breakfast was decent/staff friendly. The 'free mini bar' is misleading - it means 2 bottles of water but other than that empty fridge' (many Americans traveling expect more in a free mini bar). Note, this is old style hotel-rooms have one key which you give to the desk when you go out. We found the room very very clean and all staff friendly - would stay there again.

Rome was the last leg of our euro trip. And so far, this has got to be the worst "welcome" that we received. We arrived in the evening, and the girl at the front desk was kinda rude. We didnt receive any help opening the main door of the hotel while we were really trying hard to put our luggages in, as they have a small door. When i presented her my voucher in my iphone, she said: "this is your reservation?!" and i was like, do you still need the paper voucher? Argh. She didnt even got up her seat the whole time!!! She only said the time and venue for the breakfast buffet and the wifi code. She didnt even give us a map, and oriented us on our current location (like other hotels would do knowing we are tourists). I had to get one on my own! She also didnt mention that everything in the bar was for free. I had to find it out myself. She was the only rude staff, the others were nice. If it werent for the rest of the staff, id only rate them 1 star. Room was spacious. Bathroom was big enough. We just dont like how the water from the shower wont go down easily in the drain. We had to endure our feet soaked in water while taking a bath. We also didnt like the bathroom door. They couldve made it a sliding door instead. Overall, the hotel is fine. Walking distance from the Barberini train station, Fontana di Trevi and Spanish steps.

Great little hotel with all you need”
This is an older hotel and small. However it's location is great. We had 2 rooms for our group of 4, one was more modern with a shower, the other an older wooden style with a shower over the bath. We picked this hotel for location and as it had a lift for our elderly mum. Was great value. Would stay here again.

Location is pretty convenient, as the hotel is located close to the Spanish Steps. Rome is such a nice walking city, and the hotel suited our needs perfectly. We could stop by the hotel after some shopping to drop some things off or have a quick rest due to the location. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast has a limited selection and is quite average, but this shouldn't be a problem, as there are so many food choices in Rome.

Fantastic”
My mum and I stayed here for a long weekend. Great location, so clean the cleaners were amazing, good breakfast and fantastic roof top bar with free wine, prosecco and snacks to help yourself to in the evenings! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

Great location and value for money”
We had a newly renovated room which was very comfortable. Great shower and nice bathroom. Comfortable bed with good lighting in the room. Quaint breakfast buffet (continental) on the top floor of the Hotel overlooking the city. Great place and vale for money. 5 mins walk to Trevi and other attractions.

Big room! Nightly happy hour on the rooftop terrace was fantastic. Met all sorts of wonderful people. Breakfast on the rooftop was wonderful as well. Five minute walk from both the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Close to so many restaurants. I REALLY enjoyed my stay here and will be back. The only cons... The bed was a bit hard. The shower/tub was very high off the ground and a bit unstable so it was difficult for my elderly mother to use. The shower door also leaked very badly.
