            Great place”

This hotel is located in an easily accessible location, and it is a very comfortable place to stay. Its colonial French architecture lends to an old time feel. In my room, I almost forgot I was in Cambodia and felt like I was back in the southern US again. Also, the check in was quick and the employees friendly.

A good small hotel in the heart of the small tow. Surrounded by a great selection of restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious with good facilities. Nice bathroom, good wi-fi and all the traveler needs.

This place was great. There was this amazing psychedelic painting covering the entire wall behind the bed. Room was huge, can't tell you how much this place was terrific! I just wished I'd stayed more in Kampot.

Nice and large colonial room for the price, but staffs lack English”

I was upgraded to Family room which is a very nice and comfy 2 floors bedroom with big private outdoor area, really value for the money. Room decor is nice and artsy. Amenities are limited, and it would be helpful to put trash bin in the room. TV channel is the best so far in Cambodia. Location is great near all restaurants and riverside. Breakfast is bland and not tasty. My most difficulty staying in this hotel is that only one staff speaks English, and most other time he is not around so cannot get information that i need.

Return visitors again not disappointed largely due to the amazing Khmer staff who not only appreciate your custom but are prepared to go that extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The French room is probably our new favourite.

Just one block from the river front, this is an ideal location for a stay in Kampot. Staff go out of their way to help and are all very friendly and efficient. Rooms are very tastefully and interestingly furnished. Good breakfast.

Nice hotel but a little pricey”

Stayed 2 nights in a Deluxe Double room, #5, for $42 per night. A very nice hotel but a little bit pricey for this town. Backpackers all over town are paying under $10, and for $40+, you might expect a pool etc to set it above the other mid range hotels. The room was large and spotlessly clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was large and clean. Not sure if there was hot water or not, didn't really seem like it. Air con was blowing cold air but the fan was so low that it didn't really cool the room well. Lucky they have an industrial strength ceiling fan. Flat screen TV with some English channels, including sports. Small fridge and kettle. Comfortable bed and chairs. Did not eat in the hotel restaurant but did eat at a restaurant in town run by the same owner, Veronica's Kitchen, excellent food. The included breakfast here was very good. Choose an egg dish, a side, and coffee or tea. Good quality and tasty breakfast. Manager Pat was super great. So friendly and helpful in arranging tours and ongoing transportation. This is truly a nice family run business. Also expect power outages, between 1 and 3 or more per day, 10 minutes to 1 hour. Not the fault of the hotel but apparently a fact of life in this town. One negative experience that impacted my stay, right outside my window, the dreaded K word, karaoke! Oh no! Not much of anything in this world is worse than drunken locals singing karaoke through blaring speakers. The first night it stopped around 10PM but the second it went past 11PM. Bad neighbors!

Wonderful service from the owners and their manager, Path. Lovely small hotel located in the centre of Kampot”

Located right in the centre of Kampot this small 6 room hotel is perfect for those looking to relax & enjoy the delights on offer. The hotel is run by local Khmer family & Pat who have all worked at RikiTikiTavi so they all know a thing or two about customer service. Breakfast is a simple affair. Two of the rooms have access to the roof top and these would be my choice of room especially room 6 from where you can watch the street life below. Numerous great places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommended

            Location & style of rooms.

I was most impressed with the location. It is right in the centre of town and it was so easy to enjoy wandering around this charming city with this hotel as our base. The room was really cool! Large with comfy bed and great furniture. The room had a lovely theme that suited the town. Breakfast was good and the BBQ dinners popular!

            Pretty hotel with great hosts

Hotel is right downtown, though not facing river. But nicely decorated, stayed in annex, a converted old Khmer House. The hosts are great, friendly, very laid back even when providing some real elegance in the town.

            Clean new rooms

Kampot is famous for its river views but this hotel is klocated away from the river but the excellent staff and flamboyant French management make up for it. Ask about the BBQ as John Paul cooks ups some of the best fish in all of cambodia. The tv could be tuned in a little better but who comes all the way to watch tv? Simple but clean and roomy

we booked into this hotel when our first preference was booked out, and we were not disappointed. the room was quite large, air-conditioned, with a large shower and toilet area. there was no mini bar, but there were tea and coffee making facilities. the room was called the 'chinese' room, and had small arched windows high in one wall, and a lovely wooden-framed bedhead. it had loads of character, and i quite enjoyed it.

Expensive stay at a great location ”

We have been staying in the Blue Buddha Hotel in Kampot. We wanted to stay longer but the place was fully booked. We opted to stay in La Java Bleue Hotel. We were already staying in Kampot so I dropped of the luggage at 09.00. We could enter the room around 13.00. We were back at 16.00 that day and the room was ready. Unfortunately they didn't put our luggage in the room and we had to carry in ourselves (not a big issue but would have been nice if they did this as a service). We wanted to shower but there is almost no water pressure. Apart from that there was no hot water. They knew the boiler in our room was broken but did not tell us. The room was not very clean and the bed was horrible. This was an expensive mistake by us. We have been traveling for 6 weeks now (Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) but this was the worst place. I would not recommend it and certainly not for the price.

            Another wonderful stay”

Return visitors again not disappointed largely due to the amazing Khmer staff who not only appreciate your custom but are prepared to go that extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The French room is probably our new favourite.

            Very pleasant central guesthouse”

Revamped old villa - quirky and welcoming”

Wonderful service from the owners and their manager, Path. Authentic Cambodian relaxed atmosphere, made us feel 'at home' + wonderfully quirky rooms, incl family room with its own roof terrace! Quite centrally located, yet in the middle of a real Kampot neighbourhood - highly recommended!

If travelling to Kampot try the new Kampot Express Mini Van service.

            Hotel with character”
