A perfect stay in a beautiful environment”
La Luna is located between General Luna and Cloud 9. From the first time I walked in I felt welcome and at home, the staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating. My room where located on top of the restaurant but I never had any problems with noise or commotion from below. The room were large and clean and have AC. The bathroom were clean with hot and cold shower. I stayed for 20 nights. The hotel is ~100m from the beach. The staff arranged a surf instructor for me. Motor bikes and boat trips and other activities can also be arranged by the staff. We where usually a small group going surfing which was a great way to meet new friends. The restaurant is the best I tried on the island! Wifi was perfect in the restaurant but limited in my room. I'll stay at La Luna the next time I'm visiting Siargao!
Excellent 5 nights stay”
Rooms: Stayed in a budget room but it was huge! Modern look. Large bed and spacious room. Had enough space for our luggage and clothes. (-) Room #8 lacked a full-length mirror. Bathroom: Big and clean. Lighting could be better, it was all yellow lights. Could use some white lights. But overall, it's a good bathroom. Hotel reception/ Restaurant: Served good food with reasonable prices. The reception/ waiting area is equipped with lounging beds and hammock. Good for a group to hangout. Staff: Excellent staff. They're all friendly and they attend to your needs. They arranged everything - from airport pickup, to boat rental for island hopping and van rental for our Sugba Lagoon visit. Location: Excellent location. It is in the middle of everything. There was also a good surf spot across the road from La Luna, with fewer people in the lineup. :) Thank you, La Luna! Definitely staying here again.
A very relaxing stay.”
I had a very pleasant stay at La Luna Island Resort. The resort is right across the street from the beach. The staff is very friendly and the owners, Lino and Susie and brother Baloon, are very accommodating. They even arranged for a charter-boat surf session and a motorbike rental as well. If you like a nice, quiet hotel with an excellent restaurant, then a highly recommend La Luna Island Resort.
Comfortable Place for Budget conscious Traveller's”
La Luna Resort is good place to stay between General Luna town and Cloud Nine, roughly 1.5Km each way. affordable to budget conscious Traveller's yet have a Big comfortable room with high ceilings and quiet aircon. I was given a room with a big double bed good for two but had a room area about 25sq meters. No free breakfast but for the price of 1500pesos did not expect any. The resort had good menu for food which daily I took advantage of different dishes.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at La Luna Island Resort and definitely will be back and recommend it! The property is only a very short walk to the beach front where you will see the beautiful sunrise each morning. It is well secured and we felt safe during our entire stay.
The spot to be”
I was traveling with my cousin and we both had the best time staying at La Luna. We were warmly welcomed and the staff is very responsive and absolutely wonderful. We both fell in love with Siargao, the resort and specially everyone at this place. Thank you, La Luna- I definitely will be back!
Overall great value”
Very nice and helpful staff! Rooms (premium and budget) were spacious, clean, AC was super cold. Premium room had a fan which was an added bonus plus a nice balcony with a hammock and sitting area and a fridge! No TV in either room but who cares, go out and enjoy Siargao! Restaurant at the resort was ok, decent selection and we really appreciated that they accept visa! Even the overrated Kawayan restaurant doesn't accept card! We were also able to rent a motorbike directly from them, and they can also setup tours for you. The location was probably my biggest con, not really anything close by walking distance wise, but not too big a deal, we just took the motorbike around and you can always catch one of the many passing tricycles. Cloud 9 is about a 5 minute ride front the resort, so like I said not a big deal. Overall awesome place, great value for the money, would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thank you La Luna resort for an awesome stay in lovely Siargao!
Overall stay was great!”
The 2 standard rooms we got in La Luna was great and very spacious. They have a very spacious restroom. Their bed was also big enough to accommodate 4 people at the same time without even touching each other. The staff are also nice and friendly. They helped us book our tours while in Siargao. Its location is also perfect since it's near all the tourist destinations. Location is on the main road and just across the beach. The only problem here is the WiFi connection. Internet is terrible but understandable due to its location. Despite the internet connection issue, we're still recommending this one!
Great spot, super friendly staff!!”
Loved our stay at la Luna and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Siargao. Air con rooms, good food downstairs, try the mango shake and all activities can be organised through the resort. 5 stars!
Nice place to stay and Great food.. :D”
nice place to stay.. and their restaurant serve great foods.. although its a bit pricey but the serving size is large...good for two people... We enjoyed our stay at la luna island resort... although the room is not sound proof.. you can hear people chatting outside and the motorcycles passing through..
Last minute saviour”
Booked at a different location originally however upon arrival they informed me that there were no rooms available despite my paying in advance. found la luna online at a great price and for the same price as the 1st destination. the location, facilities and room size were superior in every way
If you're looking for a clean, decent and affordable place to stay in Gen Luna Siargao then La Luna is perfect.
Huge Room, friendly Stuff ”
We've booked last minute. That's probably the reason why it was so cheap (off-season as well). The room was very clean, the staff helpful and the food was good. All in all I would highly recommend La Luna, as it's just a great place and also the surrounding (garden with a slack line) is so beautiful.
Small cozy place with very approachable staff.”
They serve excellent breakfast, cheap cold beer and arrange island tours very well. We had to go back several times at these place even after checking in at a bigger and more expensive place. The only downside was the air conditioning broke down and start leaking water in our room, and the sheets felt sticky all the time, might be from all the sun screen that people use that hasn’t been removed properly. But overall, this place is perfect if you are looking for a small and quiet resort to enjoy the whole island.
Traveling with the whole family”
Overall rating is Excellent. Staff was very knowledgeable about the tourist spots. We even had our island hopping adventure booked with them (Sohoton Cove, Bucas Grande Island & the famous Tri-Island of Siargao). Less hassle. Very accommodating and kind. Food was excellent even though rooms don’t come with “free breakfast”. It was worth paying for. Plus there are a lot of place to eat near the area. You just have to walk. Rooms were cozy and comfortable, aircon is very cold (this is a compliment), heater works perfectly fine, bed can fit up to 4 person. Linens smells clean. But if you are the O.C. type when it comes to cleanliness you won’t rate the cleanliness with 5 stars. But again you can always ask anything with them. Just remind them to change the rags and beddings everyday. I love how the place was set up. A typical nipa hut, with a tropical vibe. I love the terrace with hammock and ceiling fan. The only downside is you have to bring your own toiletries. They only provide tissue. And it is not beachfront. But you can just walk to reach the beach.
Great food and staff”
Lovely staff & delicious food at La Luna. We stayed in the room above the restaurant, which has a spacious balcony and was very clean. This place was a great home base for surfing. Would stay here again--hope to return again soon!
This hotel is highly recommended. Room is spacious, King size Bed, spacious CR. Good ambiance. ”
Only cons is No TV which is just minor and not required. They have mini ref. Aircon, hot and cold shower. Beware of other hotels, their water is smelly. unlike in La Luna, their water is very clean and has no foul smell.
The staff at La Luna were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The room was spacious, and the bed was firm, but comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
You get what you pay for when you stay at La Luna. Price per night is very affordable and you get a very basic room and bath (bring your own toiletries, they provide towels though). If you are particular about cleanliness, ambiance, amenities then I recommend you search for another hotel. The bed is king sized but very very hard (the hardest bestsellers I've ever slept on, this is definitely not for honeymooners). We found rust/blood stains on the pillows too. The room& bathroom are not very well lit. Wifi was so bad just forget about using it. Good things about the hotel room: the air conditioning and heater works perfectly. The staff is very accommodating. My husband got sick and they were nice enough to buy some things for us in the city when their staff went out to do grocery shopping. So overall, if you are not the fussy type then this is a hotel you may consider. But if you are traveling as a couple for a romantic getaway, you may want to consider other hotels.
Good placce to weather out storm”
Got stuck in Siargao due to bad weather and booked this place last minute. I got a good room with a view in the second floor. Big bed with a terrace. Some insects in the room but is expected in the island. Wifi is okay and there was power but not all the time as the generator use needs to be approved by the owner. Place is not near Cloud 9 or GL but there is a surf break reachable by boat in front. Near a public beach (across the road). Hard to commute as habal-habals do not stay near the area.
