A Gem in Kochi”
Sometimes in life your decision turns out amazing, and that was the case when I booked to stay at La Lune. Found down a quiet alleyway right in the heart of fort Kochi, the location is incredible for those wanting to explore the old town on foot. Then you meet the sweetest couple who run the homestay, and you are instantly welcomed into a Kochi family which is great as a solo traveller and also for couples and groups from what I observed. Joseph really can’t do enough for you, and whether he is setting up a massage (a must!) or giving directions, his knowledge and passion to ensure your stay is memorable is the true quality that makes this hotel a gem. And his wife Nimmi’s art around the hotel adds a lovely warmth to the interior (as does their daughter’s art!). Her breakfast is also lovely and fresh, some of the fruit grown in the property and eggs from hens they own. Affordable, clean, great A/C and room size. What a gem of a hotel!

Super hospitable eco hotel”
A friend and I stayed here for a few nights. The hotel is reasonably new, clean, very well maintained and has been set up as a eco hotel using recycled rainwater and solar. The owners are really friendly and super hospitable - providing local food recommendations, organising tours for us, even getting up early to prepare us breakfast one morning. If you want a nice hotel to stay where you will be made to feel at home, highly recommend La Lune.

シンプルであるが清潔な部屋。路地の奥にあるが、その分静か。しかし何よりも特筆すべきはオーナーの人柄でしょう。カタカリダンス、バックウオーターツアーやタクシー手配など、何でも相談に乗ってくれます。ただ、CC対応していないので長期逗留の際はご注意。

フォートコチをゆったりと過ごすに適切な宿”
良かった点 ・宿主 非常にフレンドリーで、さらにとても親切に周辺情報を教えてくれたり、こうすると安く上がるよなどの情報提供をしてくれました。また、英語がインド訛りではなく、聞こえやすかったのも助かる点でした。 ・サービス 共同スペースにコーヒーや紅茶、パンや、バナナなどが置いてあり、自由に使って良いと言われたのは嬉しかった点です。 ピックアップの都合で朝食の時間を30分早めて欲しいなどの要望を伝えれば可能な限りそれに答えようとしてくれる点が良かったです。 ・ロケーション メインロードから路地に入り、少し進みます。 弦楽器博物館の隣にありました。看板が出ていないので少し迷いましたが、マークの書いている門の斜め向かいにあります。 ATMや、BAR、カタカリ文化センター・チャイニーズフィッシングネットなどが徒歩5分圏内です。 時間を持て余したら宿にすぐ戻れる良いロケーションでした。 ・水回り シャワーカーテンでトイレとシャワーが区切られているタイプです。清潔感がありました。 (下記、湯についても参照) 悪かった点 ・上記の看板が入り口に無かったこと。 ・湯が出づらかったこと。 →エコにも配慮していて、屋上のソーラーで、湯に変え貯蔵する方式を採っているとのこと。1000リットル蓄えているため、枯渇することはないとのことですが、朝5時くらいにシャワーを浴びようとしたらなかなか湯が出てこなかったことが実際にありました。 なお、翌日は問題なく湯が出ました。 湯の同時利用量に関係しているのではないかとのことでした。 総評 ・清潔感がある宿です。 ・インドの中級〜高級ホテルに6軒泊まりましたが、一番日本人好みのサービスを提供してくれた宿で、また泊まりたいと思います。
