Nice stay but not a second time”
Location is good. Right in the old quarter. I stayed during monsoon season, mid- July for three nights. I had a small single room. Great wi-fi connection in my room. My room faced St. Sebastian Road and it was lovely to hear the singing from the old church just at the end of the street early Sunday morning from my window. I only ate breakfast there. Good coffe but the meal was fixed and disappointing considering the rate this hotel charges. Interior of the hotel is well placed but a tad conservative for me especially the dining area. I was the only guest and the hotel was very quiet which was the best feature. Nice stay, but in my opinion not worth the high rate charged. I stayed at the Crown Royal previous, and the employees there were exceptional and a nice variety at the buffet breakfast. I had an expensive pair of Bose ear buds taken from my room. Unexplained lost. Disappointing.

No flexibility in charging extras”
Quality of rooms, Location, Overall decor
We were four travellers visiting for one night. Somehow the Agoda website did not allow me to make a single booking for 2 rooms, so I ended up making 2 reservations - 1 room each with an option of 2 twin beds. When the booking voucher was sent it mentioned 1 occupant in each room. I somehow did not notice it. When we showed up at the hotel we were told that it is a single occupancy booking and I would be required to pay for extra bed charges amounting to 1000 Rs per room. This was indeed shocking. I can understand getting charged extra if we have more than 2 occupants in a room or if we opted for a breakfast option. For that matter I had made a special request to provide rooms with 2 twin beds which was enough evidence to explain. The hotel ownership is simple money minded. There was no reason to charge for an extra person .
