A hidden gem”
Don't let the location deter you. One of the best value hotels in Siem Reap. Beautiful staff, who try their hardest so be patient with them, it is a 3 star hotel after all, not 5 stars. If you want to behave like a princess, then book 5 stars. Food like the chicken curry is very average, full of sugar. I dare say, travellers want something more authentically Khmer, not what you think we want. Then the sour fish soup is delicious. Breakfasts are welcome, great fresh fruit. Tiny servings of eggs, be it omelettes or scrambled. Great crispy bacon. The other stuff in the warmers looks terrible, not sure what is meant to be? Stir fried veges perhaps? Nice looking pastries. The staff go out out of their way to look after you, and the owners need to take better care of them. For example; overnight staff could be provided with mosquito spray. It's $1.20 at the supermarket, it's not that hard. This hotel is small, intimate, but you have lots of your own space. Great pool!!
An Oasis ”
A lovely experience! Been there twice already. One of my best and most relaxing stays in Asia. This is what a boutique hotel should be. Truely an refreshing green Oasis after an exciting but dusty day in Angkor... Amazing welcoming and helpful staff!
Nice boutique hotel but far from pub street”
Hotel manager said La Residence was over booked so we had been moved to their sister hotel - Le Jardin. I think they have the same style. I love the cozy garden, charming blue swiming pool and tropical style buildings. Room equipment was so so. Breakfast was poor. Hotel was really far from pub street. They have shuttle electric car pick-on pick-off but finish too early (10pm). Staffs were nice.
Another great stay”
I've stayed here a number of times and they get better each time. Lovely setting in a lush garden with pool and big rooms and friendly staff. Only small issue with ordering Tuk Tuk to airport, did not come on time, even after booking and reminding some hours in advance
Fantastic, memorable family vacation! ”
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. First and foremost, the staff were amazing...always waiting to greet you with a friendly smile, with fantastic service to boot! Reception was wonderful with helping us plan our daily tours, including securing a private tour guide and driver. The restaurant was great, and made delicious banana pancakes that we enjoyed each morning. The highlight for our daughter would have definitely been the pool...she spent a solid two hours or so swimming most days. Housekeeping did a lovely job keeping our room tidy, and it always smelled so fresh and fragrant when we returned in the afternoons. I personally loved the orchids and abundance of lush plants surrounding the hotel, it gave me the authentic feel that I was looking for on this trip to Cambodia. Wonderful facility, wonderful staff! I highly recommend this hotel and if we are fortunate enough to come back to Cambodia, we will absolutely stay here again.
Wonderful choice in Siem Reap - hard to fault”
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. When we arrived one of our sons was not feeling well. The staff did everything to help us including bringing chicken soup to him in his room. They are kind and helpful and very professional. The restaurant on site has a great choice of meals and is reasonable priced. The pool area is just beautiful. The rooms all seem to open to the pool. We had two ground floor rooms and they opened straight on to the pool. I wish we had booked more than three nights.
A must stay accommodation”
It was just a little oasis but beautiful inside with lovely orchids and plants well kept, so clean and friendly staff a great swimming pool to swim in especially after spending a day at Anchor Watt old ruins. The rooms were lovely with balcony and beds so comfy. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Great bathrooms one with large bath the other with shower. Would recommend to anyone. Not to far from the town or airport but Tuk Tuk or van is cheap and will take you to were ever you want to go. The will organise tours with English speaking guide from front desk.
Wish I could give it 10 stars”
Our stay couldn't have been better. We were very comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. The room was excellent. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They even offered to make us a sack breakfast for our sunrise trip to Angkor Wat.
An outstanding hotel”
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. As a guest of the hotel, we really felt spoilt rotten! Whereas some hotels' and restaurants' service in this region is lacking, the staff here were excellent - for instance going into town for us unprompted to fetch tiger balm when we had mosquito bites! The swimming pool is big enough to get some good exercise and their tuk tuk driver gave us a great tour of Angkor Wat. Outstanding.
Very greenery environment with lotsa plant. Quiet ”
Good breakfast but choices not a lot. We have pre arrange for airport transfer but the staff said not in record upon our check out. I booked through agoda it say come with round trip transfer but the front desk claim only one way , feel likw getting cheated. The hotel is not centrally located and very quiet place, dangerous to walk. Far from night market and pub street.
Top end stay on medium budget”
This is a fab place to stay. It was a bit above my budget but after being shown other hotels at a similar price this beat everything hands down. I met fantastic staff and i believe due to the friendliness of the staff it encouraged guests to socialise in a very casual manner. Nothing was in your face. Service, room service, trips nothing was too much trouble. Wherever or whatever I am doing I like to check at least 2/3 prices and then decide what to do . Each time these were competitive prices and all went as smooth as silk. I would like to say something bad about this hotel so I will be able to get a booking in the future, but sad for me I cannot. I booked 2 nights stayed for 9 days. I
Holiday and cultural”
I loved my stay/ the staff made it even more pleasant. we were pleased with the pool, the size of the room and the cleanliness. we were welcomed by kindness and smile. we would have not want any better. The garden with plenty of beautiful flowers. and i was even more surprised when i have learned the hotel was open only since last October. Quality/price is an amazing deal. i would recommend this place to everyone. It is pretty close to the center and it makes a nice 15 min walk to the major dining centers and Markets. the staff is amazingly friendly and the level of English very good. My child loved every minute there! I made a point of completing the survey as i truly believe they deserve it and it is my only way to thank her even more :-)
Outstanding little hotel!”
We stayed for one night at The Bhopha, one night at the Royal Crown, and seven nights at La Niche (NOT to be confused with the older La Niche). While the other two were nice, and we had no complaints, they could not begin to compare with La Niche. Additionally, La Niche was the least expensive. A truly great value. If the road in is still unpaved, don' t be put off by it. That little hardship stretch of road is the reason La Niche is so quiet. The bed was top quality, shower room was luxurious, breakfast buffet was delicious, and, above all, the staff were delightful. They were happy to arrange anything we asked them for. Laundry service was prompt and inexpensive, bikes, while a bit elderly, were free and worked well. We will definitely book here again should we travel this way again.
Peaceful, private but need tuk tuk to go out. ”
Good experience, staff was very friendly n attentive. Love the room on first level with direct access to the swimming pool. Would be better if the points below are not a concern 1. Insects flying around but the mosquitoes strangely didn't bite 2. Whenever we shower the water will overflow out to the entrance walkway, leaving the area wet 3. Too remote/dark to walk out to any places..
Peace and tranquility”
A new hotel, not to be confused with its sister, La Niche da boutique, which the tuk tuk drivers inevitably did. This was a great wind down place after a day at the temples sipping cocktails by a pool large enough for laps. Great proactive staff focussed on making your stay perfect. Don't be put off by the approach down an unsealed stretch of street 26!
A hidden gem! Best hotel in Siem Reap”
This has to be the best kept secret in Siem Reap. It is a relatively new hotel and is away from the noise and mayhem of Pub Street and Old Market area. We booked this not knowing what to expect but wow we were surprised by the quality and service here. This is the Villa and not the La Niche hotel so make sure you pick the right one. The rooms are large and clean with a great bed and bathroom. We had booked only 3 nights to start with but ended up extended 1 more night as it was a great place to stay. It is only 10 minutes walk to Old Market and the hustle and bustle of Pub Street and you have a Tuk Tuk available all the time. The pool is great along with the beautiful garden and ponds. Small but comfortable. Will definatly stay here again when I am back in Siem Reap.
quiet except thay sell me a ticket from siem rep to phnom penh departure 2pm ARRIVAL 06pm to catch my flight at 08.40 and the bus arrived at 08.15!!! I HAD TO SPEND THE NIGHT in a hotel in front of phnom penh airport for 07 dollars! i MISSED MY FLIGHT! I LOST ONE NIGHT AT BANGKOK! SUPERB EXPERIENCE
I really stay here for the pool, the great staff and the location. Not 5 star, but a well hidden secret, and not far from the old town in a tuk tuk. Really friendly staff who do their best.
