Great hotel for families!”

spacious suites, excellent service, pool with waterslide, beautiful surroundings
A bit of a commute to the beach

My parents and my wife and I and our two children, ages 5 and 7, enjoyed a wonderful week at the Laguna Holiday Club. The two bedroom suite is spacious and nicely decorated and, as it comes equipped with a fold-out sofa sleeper, all 6 of us fit very comfortably. Customer service was top-notch, and we appreciated the promptness and friendliness of the staff. The hotel is set right in the middle of the beautiful Laguna complex, which is so much nicer for families than being on a noisy strip. Our kids loved the waterslide-probably went down it a couple of hundred times! The only drawback is that it's a bit of a hike to the beach. You have to either walk or take a shuttle to the Sheraton, and then walk through the Sheraton to get to the beach. It's really no big deal, especially when you compare the savings of staying here vs. the Sheraton and other hotels in the Laguna complex that sit right on the beach.

Laguna Luxury”

Security and exclusivity
A little way from the beach.

The Laguna holiday club resort phuket is part of an exclusive enclave of resorts in the northern part of phuket closer to the airport. Access to the beach is by shuttle or through the sheraton over the road. The hotel is very new and well maintained with all the usual facilities. Our room was palatial and luxurious. The staff were generally very good apart from some persistent attempts to interest us in a time share arrangement with the hotel group. They asked and rang several times but were not too pushy when we politely declined any interest.

Nice hotel, great location”

Laguna area is a great place to stay

my wife, six year old daughter and i stayed at laguna holiday club phuket resort for the phuket marathon. we had a suite with bedroom for us and a sofa bed in the main room for our daughter, plen of space for all of us. the suite has cooking facilities and a fridge so good if you want to self cater. the hotel is a short walk from the shops and restaurants at canal village and it's not far to walk over to the beach, or take the free shuttle bus. the water taxis around the lagoons are fun too. the pool has a water slide and the hotel restaurant has a reasonable choice of thai and other dishes

Laguna Holiday Club Hotel”

Large apartment style rooms, nicely furnished. A good selection of breakfast items (included with the room). Nice pool area
No night life although other hotels at Laguna can be accessed with charges going back onto the room at LHCH

The hotel has very helpful front desk staff and the rooms are large, airy and well appointed. Ours faced onto the children's play area but was far enough to not be distracting. It was also reasonably cose to the pool area which incorporates a large water slide. Breakfast was from 7am to 11am and the selections were quite good and varied each day. There is no internet in the rooms but free wifi is available in the reception/ dining area. A free shuttle is provided which gives access to other hotels in the Laguna area and to the beach. This runs frequently and until relatively late in the evening. We were in Laguna to play golf and the hotel overlooks the 17th fairway of the Laguna Golf Course which, like all courses in Phuket, is very scenic but it is not as challenging as some of the others, notably Red Mountain. When we were leaving, our flight was an evening departure and we were offered a free late checkout up to 3pm or an additional half day rate for checkout at 6pm which I thought quite reasonable. I would certainly go back to this hotel for any future stays in Phuket.

Great value, clean & friendly ”

Despite the 10 days of tropical rain, my boyfriend & I had s great stay at the Laguna holiday club. We have been to Laguna 4 times but usually stay in a villa with the whole family but as it was just us this time, we decided to stay here. We upgraded our room to a one bedroom suite which was brilliant; very spacious and clean. It had a bedroom with en suite, lounge & dining area and kitchenette. I would highly recommend and would definitely return. The only thing I would say is that the pool area is good for kids but maybe not couples so it's worth exploring the other Laguna pools & facilities.

Laguna luxury !”

The hotel had a great location, all rooms faced the pool, lake and golf course. Room was spacious and nicely furnished.
found everything ok.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Laguna holiday Club hotel. We needed an extra day's accommodation & the staff went to a lot of trouble to sort this out for us. The staff were very efficient, polite and friendly at all times. They liked to chat with us which was very nice and much appreciated . The staff were extremely helpful - I needed some bike spares as I was competing in the Triathlon and the staff organised a taxi for me to go to the nearest town to get my spares. I used the hotel business centre for emailing and faxing and this was a very useful facility .

laguna holiday club ”

comfo rooms
simple breakfast

another good thing about laguna holiday club is its private beach. although it is a little bit far from hotel and you have to pass through either sheration or dusit, but no one is there. a very charming local restruant just next to it and you can eat and have a drink there. or you have sit there all day to play poker and facing the beautiful ocean. if you feel you eat too much, you can easily exit to banyan tree spa, to laguna village for shopping, to the lotus restraunt for good food.

Poor Beach Access

This was our second visit to Laguna and chose the Holiday Club mainly for cost purposes but were very pleasantly surprised. Our 1 bedroom appartment was bigger than we expected and had more than adequate cooking facilities if you needed them. The pool area was very pleasant with views overlooking a lake then the golf course. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. There is free transportatation provided within the Laguna resorts

Great Hotel, great value for the money!”

easy shuttle to other hotels and beaches, price, comfort

I stayed there with my family for 10 days, and i found this hotel excellent, it is quite convenient and it has a shuttle to the beach and to other Laguna Hotels such as the Outrigger which is a very fancy hotel with an amazing beach. if you have a car this hotel is wonderful for families, it is around 20 minutes driving from Pattong, and 30 from Karon and Kata beach, yet it is secluded in the Laguna complex which is very quiet and cozy. there are great restaurants close by, from affordable and wonderful Flame to fancy and quite expensive seafood restaurant Lotus. overall great experience sating at Laguna Holiday Club Hotel

Great Resort...Perfect Location”

Huge room. Staff were wonderful. Located on edge of golf course.

we had a very enjoyable 10 days at the holiday club. as with most thai resorts the staff were the highlight. customer service is in their dna. the rooms are huge and very comfortable. you could easily live here for an extended time if you wanted to. lots of restaurants to go to and there is a pick up service for restaurants outside laguna. we will go back. you have to pay for wifi in your room and that is something that management should look at. it is silly to have free wifi in the lobby and pay for wifi in the room.

A lovely hotel and brilliant service”

Large clean well decorated rooms with beautiful views of the golf course,, very accommodating and friendly staff, breakfast was very good and free wifi in the reception, bar and lobby area.

We stayed at the Laguna resort over a period of 2 weeks for my wedding. We had a number of guests spread throughout the resort. Hense, we stayed in a few of the hotels over the 2 weeks. Whilst the holiday club was rated 4 star, I found it to be better in many ways than some of the 5 star hotels with spas and sea views. It is clean, very comfortable, spacious with friendly and helpful staff. It also has good amenities in all rooms. We had an excellent time.

Wonderful Stay”

It was my first time in Phuket and I couldn't have chosen another place to stay in. Laguna Phuket's rooms are extremely spacious. Although the design of the rooms are a little old, it actually adds to the charm of the place. You'll never run out of activities to do within the resort and the breakfast buffet is also good. The only negative thing I can point out is that it's far from the commercial centers and other tourist locations but this doesn't come as a surprise as the main target are European travelers who won't mind spending $30 per trip going to and from the hotel each time. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with the staff ever so attentive and courteous!

Great location for Phuket marathon”

Convenient to Phuket marathon, quiet part of island

This is a nice property very close to the Phuket marathon. It has beautiful views of the golf course and is very close to semi-private beaches along the Laguna resort hotels. The rooms are very nice and a great value during the low tourist season. The breakfast bar is very nice with late morning service. On the downside, there is no free wireless internet, the resort is isolated from genuine Thai food and culture. It is, however, a nice alternative to the busy Patong area. Overall, a great value.

Great for family

Great for family with young children. Child can play in the kids club, the small playground, the swimming pool. Family can dine in various fine restaurant within the Laguna Resort. Transport (Van and boat) within the Laguna Resort is free, and some outside restaurants also cater free transportation, an example is BlackCat Restaurant. Generally i find the people here in Thailand never fails to deliver, they really put their best to make our stay here memorable.

A comfortable, family friendly hotel”

relatively new hotel in Laguna, great foods, peaceful environment, fully equipped kitchen, free wireless internet in the lobby and pool area.
unprofessional room cleaning, weird smell in the gym room, and some unfriendly staff on the reception.

The Holiday Club is like a "newly built Allamanda" in Laguna Phuket. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We used to be "the Allamanda fan" but we moved to Holiday Club this time because of the fully equipped kitchen. Surprisingly we found the foods at the restaurant in Holiday Club was very good so we ended up spending a lot of mealtimes there. There are two things we would like to complain about which we didn't experience the same in Allamanda. First, the room cleaning service. After cleaning the room is not really clean especially the dishes and floors. Everyday they forgot something like the fresh towels which we needed to call the reception to get them afterward. It was kind of annoying in a holiday. Second, the unfriendly staff on the reception. We didn't feel welcome on the arrival because of the staff's attitude. When we checked out they gave us the same feeling again. We asked for a late checkout after a long stay in this hotel three days in advance before the checkout date. The girl on the reception showed us a very unpleasant face and then talked on the phone in Thai for a long time, then told us to ask at the reception again the next day. We just felt that doesn't meet the standard of a hotel in Laguna area. But all other staff in this hotel are friendly and helpful. Overall we were very happy about our stay. It is also a very family friendly hotel when you come with your kids.

Cheapest Laguna Property”

Had spent some nights on other Laguna properties around Asia to know what their standard is like. Decided on Laguna Holiday Club as this is the cheapest on offer at the time. And it was the greatest decision. The hotel or may I say all the hotels around the Laguna is pretty much very old. Including Dusit Thani, Angsana which I had visited on our nightly strolls. The other hotels probably have better facilities but you are also paying extra for what is roughly the same kind of hotels. Sure the swimming pool is smaller at LHCR but its worthed. Room is huge more than adequate for the wife and me plus two children. They had to use the sofa bed which was properly set-up by the time of our arrival. Air cond works very well in fact we only use one unit out of the two provided. Kitchen and the kitchenetes are suitable for light cooking and extra space to store our shoppings. Got balcony but because the building is low, mosquitos become a problem at night. Balcony could have been bigger.

Good secluded and private resort area”

Away from city, secured and self contained

Laguna area is great. However Holiday club seems to be the oldest property. It is due for renovation. However being part of Laguna network helps Holiday Club as one can go to other properties. Do note that free day pass is no more available and you need to pay to use facility of other resorts. We enjoyed free shuttle, lake boating (free) and horse riding (paid) among other activities. Note that Laguna area being private is a bit away from Patong and other local spots. Be prepared to hire taxi or perhaps rent a car and drive yourself if comfortable. There are some great shops just outsde the Laguna area. You can get bargain spa and local food at resonable price. Get off at stop 20 and just walk outside.

It's a luxury!”

Big suite with a well-stocked kitchen.

I was quite surprise by the suite when I enter the room. It was so big! The kitchen was very well-stocked with all the necessary utensils. I love the bed! It was so plush that I had a really good sleep. I was there for the Laguna Phuket International Marathon, & Laguna Holiday Club Phuket Resort I believe was one of the official resort. However, more could have been done for us runners staying, e.g. some light breakfast and extended check-out time for runners who can prove they are indeed runners. Only after much negotiation that they finally agreed to extend to 1pm for check-out.

Great hotel with lovely people and location”

Location, Modern facilities, kids friendly, not crowded at all

we've been staying at lhcr for a couple of times during the past few years. first just as a couple, and on this trip with our 10 months old baby. compared to other "family friendly" hotels this is not overrun at all. there are always just less than a dozen of people at the pool or in the restaurant, compared to hundreds of people at the loguna holiday beach resort. service is great, all staff is friendly and we really enjoy it every time. the facility is very new since it's the newest hotel at laguna, and the rooms are really big with kitchenette etc. we will definitely come back again. one thing we noticed though. when we went there during the past years, there was a sunday seafood bbq, but apparently this has been cancelled. also, the food menu was down-sized a bit and so was the breakfast buffet (ie. no cheese selection and the bircher muesli, one of my favorites, is gone). during our 10 days stay, the coffee machine failed at 2 occasions during breakfast so they served instant coffee. thing is, i was only at the breakfast for 3 times, so 2 times out of 3 the machine didn't work. i would think it's top priority of the management to get a new one or get it working. but this is something that only i would notice, since it concerns things that i was looking for (cheese selection, muesli, good coffee).
