great location, great view”
i love this hotel.. we got the promotional room and it is really worth it.. glad that we had it at about 50% off at agoda.. the nearest train station is at the temple of heavens, tiandemen if im not mistaken.. there is a bus station in front of the hotel at the opposite side of the road.. what i like most is the view.. we got the king size with lake view.. we got there at night so we saw the villas of Longtan Park lit up.. when we woke up in the morning, we were surprised with the beauty of longtan park... there are lots of boats on the lake.. we tried to rent one but dont have enough time to enjoy the park.. you can also see old people swimming at the river.. bathroom fixtures are great.. the bed is so nice.. the only con is that we ordered dinner at 12am but all of our orders are not available.. we ordered hainanese chicken but they said they ran out of rice.. what?! and lamb chops are out of stock.. so we opted to go outside and look for a resto.. we found a barbeque resto at the back, just 2 blocks away.. i think it is open 24 hours..
always happy with this hotel choice”
this is the 2nd time i stayed in this hotel , since few months ago i was very satisfied after a stay with my wife for 2 days. rooms are one of the best i ever had in beijing, very spacious, luxurious, and the view on the lake is just stunning. standard in this hotel is very high , and also hotel is 15 minutes drive to all chinese markets ( silk market, pearl market, toy market), and forbiden city
Great hotel - bad location”
it's my first stay at this hotel, and i dare to say, just on features of this hotel, it's one of the best i've been in. i had a lakeview room, and the view was pretty good. the rooms are close to brand new. it's one of the only hotels where the tub and shower was separate, and i really liked that. however, it's location is pretty awkward. after i arrived in beijing, the taxi driver had no idea were the hotel was (we even went in the wrong direction). then, the closest metro station was a 20 minute walk. so i had to take the bus to where ever i needed to be. if you've been to beijing, you know how bad the traffic can get at times. but if you know your way around beijing pretty well, this hotel is great with its quiet surroundings and a lake.
I would definitely return!”
After attending a conference at another hotel in the city centre, I had booked me into the Radegast Lake View Hotels to relax and take some tours and enjoy Beijing's culture and cuisine. I was welcomed on arrival and offered an upgraded room with a splendid view of the lake! The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and would have even without the upgrade.
Great Location for meeting with client”
i will there for a meeting and this hotel is recommended by my fellow partner in beijing. walking distance to the meeting place and good local food around this area. best of all, you enjoy the sunset and lake view everyday after hectic meeting schedule.
."Lovely hotel and service with a smile"”
The Radegast Hotel is a beautiful hotel located just outside the city. I love the hotel because the staff was very professional and they treated me like a king. There was a small problem with my room when I arrive but they quickly corrected the issue and upgraded my room. The resturants in the hotel are excellent and offer a good variety of resturants. I rented a bike to travel through Beijing but a taxi ride to anywhere from the hotel cost no more than $5.00 US and to the Airport around $20 US. Inside the hotel the Spa is excellent, but a Spa is located across the street for half the price and similar quality. I was overall impressed with the hotel and the price was reasonble.
Beautiful room and view”
I really enjoyed staying at Radegast Lake View Hotel, it was beautiful spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly and do try and help, although I did feel that at least the main service staff (reception) should be more well-versed in speaking English. As a big hotel I am sure they would have a lot of foreign staff hoping to find common ground with English. Other than that everything else was wonderful making a slight exception with the taste of the food.
Great Hotel in the Chaoyang District of Beijing”
radegast lake view hotel was excellent! friendly people; spacious rooms; great view (we had lake side on 20th floor); excellent pool with jacuzzi, showers, sauna. only need swim cap if actually going in the pool. no need for jacuzzi. buffet breakfast was okay but was not included in the room rate. i should have checked closer before booking. the hotel fairly new and modern with all amenities necessary in the room. the wi-fi service was not very good from the room but better in the lobby/restaurant. i was using an itouch. had i brought my laptop and hooked directly into the ethernet port would have had better speed.
Very nice 5-star hotel”
A nice newbuilt hotel with very clean rooms. Wonderful soft, big beds and a wonderful view over the park and the sea at the park. If you choose this hotel you have to takr the option with seaview. My suggestion is that you also choose executive floor. It´s a bit more expensive but you get a floor very high (25-27) and a wonderful view over Beijing. If you choose the executive floor you also get breakfast included and free drinks and fruit in the afternoons at the executive lounge on the top floor.
Friendly English speaking staff, great room”
Quick and efficient check in and check out; very helpful English speaking staff; great breakfast buffet with assorted selection of bread/rolls/pastries (including rye and whole wheat) and the cook will make an omelete with your choice of ingredients (Chinese selection of dishes also available). Tour operator will make arrangements for hotel pick-up and drop-off and the English speaking concierge is extremely helpful. As shown in the photos, the rooms are absolutely fabulous (I had a an executive lakeview room). Definitely a 5 star hotel at a very reasonable price. Nearby, inexpensive restaurants, a large flea market with fabulous bargains, interesting shops - great for a stroll around the neighborhood.
luxury hotel with magnificient rooms”
This hotel was the best surprise of our trip in China. Loby is very large and luxurious. Rooms are very big and greatly designed. you can enjoy free wire internet in the room. The bed is so comfortable you can sleep on it for days, the bathroom is equipped with a big douch , and also a bath, the overall size of the bathroom is about the size of average room in standard hotels. you have a swiming pool, jacuzzi and sauna facility in the hotel for free, just do not forget your swiming hat. One of the most beautiful hotels in Beijing..
Nice view of park good location to park”
Ireally enjoyed my stay at Radegast Lake View Hotel, the upstairs deluxe rooms are big and spacious, the hotel is maintained very well and the staff are all very freindly. there wasnt a real big selection on breakfast and the food was average, but there is a nice view of park and good location to lake .over all i enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recomend it anyone.
we were in a business room of the hotel for three nights. It was great experience and if I go to beijing again, I will stay there again. Just in front of the hotel, there is bus stop which is a rout of several good places, especially number 800. The breakfast buffet had variety of choices, but it was served late in the morning. The room was spacious enough, clean, well modern decorated. The most important thing was about the hotel staff who were friendly, nice, and cooperative.
Definately 5 Star's”
Beautiful 5 star hotel with attention to detail. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. What a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of work or site seeing. The beds are soft and luxurious, not traditionally what is found in China. Hotel food and room service were both very good. This hotel I will happily return to if I am in Beijing again.
Executive room/hotel great, restaurant needs work”
We like this hotel enough to return. Hotel had a nice feel, we felt comfortable, clean, & content. Our Executive room was clean, spacious, & modern. The beds are COMFORTABLE. Free wifi in room was fast. Large windows, views, robes, private safe, desk, granite bathroom, and filtered drinking water. From 5-7PM, Executive guests have access to happy hour (drinks, snacks) at the top floor of the hotel, which we enjoyed. Hotel staff at this level limited our drinks to 2, which was not mentioned in the in-room hotel guide or by the reception. We had lunch and ordered prawn wonton soups, which were horrible. We couldn't believe we were served hot water with pasta noodles (menu mentioned char-siu noodles & vegetables which were not in the meal) & shrimp dumplings which were frozen. Blandest meal we've ever had while traveling. We asked for soy sauce, but the staff didn't understand & gave us ketchup instead. We aren't demanding people, but it was absurd. We had dinner there due to convenience & chose another meal. It was an improvement but not fantastic. The hotel needs to improve cooking, but dinner wasn't disgusting. The buffet breakfast was nice. Cooked to order eggs with veggies, salad, fruit, cereal, bread, desert, juice, coffee, Chinese food. Twas good. The only issue was the buffet breakfast timing. Even though it clearly stated that Saturdays & Sundays serve buffet until 1030AM, they began closing at 10AM. The happy hour drink limitation and buffet breakfast closing time was inconsistent with what was advertised, which disappoints, although minor we suppose. The swimming pool and hot tub were great. The fitness center was good. Some staff were courteous, responsive, & happy to help, but a few were apprehensive and distant, which was consistent with some experiences being a traveler in China. The front desk took care of some mail for us, helped us find local places, ordered a taxi to take us to the local Panjiyuan market. Taxi's not hard to find.
A Night in Heaven”
Staying here was a night of luxury. for only $80 per night we had five star comfort with a very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and great TV programs. The staff all spoke English as well which was very helpful. The area is also pleasant, right next to a lake - however foreigners (or those who look like foreigners) have to pay entry to the park. Not that many reaturants around but the hotel itself has a rangte of lovely places to suit a range of budgets (as backpackers and hostel frequenters for the rest of our China trip we could afford to eat comfortably). The bar was a great place for a fancy cocktail!
very pleasant hotel with smiling service”
we had a very pleasant stay.we found the staff very pleasant and cooperative and always offered a happy smile. They were very quick to respond to our request and went out of their way to find answers to the questions when asked. the breakfast was very well arranged and had an extensive choice.the executive lounge was an excellent relaxing place to spend the early evening. I found it a great way to relax before taking a stroll for supper. the hotel is located along a lake and it is a great place to take an early morning or evening walk.
Wonderful new hotel, excellent for its price”
The hotel is set beside beautiful Longtan Lake Park. However, if you are looking for tourist attractions and shopping areas, traveling to and from the hotel may be a hassle. Restaurants offer a good variety. Great style of decoration. Recommended for casual vacationing, but not sightseeing since the location is far from attractions.
Modern and Clean Hotel”
Modern and new hotel with all the trimmings you expect from international 5 Star hotels, with the possible exception of English speaking staff as I noticed only a small number were fluent in English. Had a nice room facing the lake opposite the busy road and the lake is accessible by an overhead bridge. Worth a walk if you have some time as it is very peaceful there. Room was comfy and a super big bathroom with bathtub and separate shower area. Will consider this hotel again if I'm in the area. Only letdown is difficulty getting taxi during the morning peak periods.
My 5th time at the Radegast, always great. ”
I love starting here, it is a great Beijing Hotel. The rooms, beds, bathrooms and proximity to the sights mean I will always stay here. This trip my family occupied 7 rooms for a week and we all loved it.
