Superb”
I moved to this hotel from another in Lamai as the previous one was rather dated. Lamai Coconut is modern, with fantastic facilities. I stayed in 302 in the new block with beautiful sea views. Spacious airy modern room with comfortable bed and a big safe. Nice balcony to. Beautiful new pool, with loungers surrounding it. Great beach front with loungers, beanbags (not enough of these) and umbrellas. The restaurant is nice with great views of the sea. On the whole the staff are really friendly. Only very slight downside is the bathroom, for a new bathroom, they have made an odd choice of old-fashioned grey tiles, and there is a weird arrangement of a sliding door to get into the bath and shower. Also a rather strange smell when turning on the shower. I highly recommend this hotel, and if I ever return to Lamai, I will definitely stay here, it’s great and excellent value for money.
Highly Recommended”
The Coconut Lamai Beach is a very, very good deal for the money. They were priced lower than their competitors, so I was a little worried about what I would get. The rooms are big and well appointed and the property is well maintained. Everything was clean and they provided everything needed to make for a good trip. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
Fantastic & Great Beach Front Room ”
After did for so many filtered of hotel, thanks god, this is the best selection of hotel. We enjoyed big pool and beach front hotel room. But the hotel is a bit inside from main road, you will need to walk out like 5-6 mins to access to main road. Therefore we rented a bike with hotel so that we able to drove to far to explored others areas than Lamai beach. We would like to suggested Lamai View Point. Must check it out if you happen to come Lamai. The massage service Infront of our hotel is superb, we had try massage and scrub. It is Just a few steps walked from hotel room to the beach & massage place. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. You can also rent water sport -like jetski with nearby company. We felt It is cheaper compare to Chaweng Beach. But for the environment surrounding we felt it will a little more quiet compare to Chaweng Beach. Definitely will stay this hotel again!
Beachfront and garden bungalow rooms on Lamai beach”
We stayed at three different hotels during our short week on Koh Samui and this was the preferred hotel of the three. We stayed in the beachfront room and moved to the garden room which it turned out was somewhat smaller but also quieter and more private than the beachfront room. As many of these resorts, checkout involved waiting five minutes for the maid to check to see if you've broken anything. Some hotels, such as this on, handle this better than others. Overall a good value hotel if Lamai beach is your selected location on the island.
Layed back & Cruisy....”
Stayed between the 8th through to the 18th November and stayed in one of their Superior Bungalows.... for a 3 star property we were most impressed, very clean, convenient, quiet and very friendly albeit it was the change of season and we had it mostly to ourselves. Highly recommend Lamai Coconut whilst close to everything, it seemed very private. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Excellent stay!!
Exceptional”
We were there for 7n and decided to return after Ko Tao instead of staying in chaweng. Lamai definately better resort than chaweng for us who has been before with a young child. The hotel entrance wasn’t grand and the bungalow look abit small for a small family after a very long flight. But this hotel make us feel like home straight away, all staffs was very friendly and helpful. Good quality beach front hotel, feel safe and comfortable, nice little cosy swimming pool for our son before sunset. Best housekeeping ever. The man who helped us with our luggages was super with multi skill - solved a few problem for us. Thank you! Highly recommended -good location.
Was good for where we were”
It’s a great location if ywant to stay in Lamai. Easy access to surrounding areas The beach wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst either - I assume it’s quite seasonal and we were there in Feb. you get approached on the beach by locals but they don’t harass you and are super friendly. The resort staff were lovely and their menu was super tasty. My only negatives is that the internet was intermittent and unreliable and the breakfast wasn’t very good (which was surprising since if you ate in the restaurant and ordered the food was reaalllyyy good). Very clean. Quiet & friendly
Exceptional”
This resort is in a great location on Lamai beach. We spent three nights in a garden bungalow which was lovely with a large bathroom with separate shower area so the floor remains dry!! The bungalows have a nice veranda area at the front so you can sit outside and enjoy the garden. There are plenty of beach chairs provided for guests on the beach where you can order drinks and food. We would definately recommend staying here.
Exceptional”
We stayed in a deluxe bungalow right next to the beach. Its like a small property with your own balcony and garden. The hotel is located right in the heart of lamai with everything right next to your door. You can have a 15 min walk by the beach to go and see the Grandmother and Grandfather rocks. We rented a car in the hotel it was less expensive than outside. The breakfast is pretty normal with all kinds of eggs, bacon, sausages, fruits, yogurts and thai dishes.
Nice hotel on the beach with pleasant staff and good value.”
Lamai beach is a nice location for a beachfront holiday. We stayed in a beachfront room and a garden room. We preferred the latter garden bungalow for the quieter noise level, lower price point and greater privacy. You can stay in the hotel or venture out onto the local street and into the many restaurants, shops and bars just a few hundred meters outside of the hotel. With free parking at this and most other hotels, we were able to explore the island with a rent-a-car for five days and found it a good value compared to the expensive taxis or even discounted rides from the local NaviGo app (two 30 minute taxi rides > cost of rental car with gas for one day.).
Everything is great ”
Located right on Lamai Beach. Very near to 24 hours convenient store, restaurants, money changer, bike and car rental. Room is clean, staffs are very friendly, helpful and speaks good English. Our luggage was delayed on our arrival day. The hotel staff helped to call to the ferry company to follow-up for our luggage. They are so helpful to ensure that our trip is enjoyable and pleasant.
Exceptional”
An excellent hotel next to the beautiful Lamai Beach and very close to a street full of restaurants, bars, money exchanges and stores. We booked two superior rooms but they upgraded one of them to a cosy bungalow right next to the beach. The hotel's restaurant is too expensive, portions are small and not tasty.
Cheap and cheerful”
Had a Beachfront bungalow which was great for watching action on the beach. Lovely pool, great staff at reception, easy checkin, small but quaint rooms, deep sea with crystal clear water, variety with breakfast, great location for shops/markets & 7/11. Sunloungers are plentiful and Lamai beach has a great laidback vibe.
Weekend Trip”
Had a nice weekend here in a sea view room. Hotel is clean and the sea view rooms seemed pretty updated - really large with nice bathroom. Breakfast was good and had a lot of options daily. Quiet location right on the beach but off of the beach road in Lamai where you'll find restaurants and bars. The happy hour drinks were great for 100 baht, and they also offered well-priced massages on the beach as well!
Very good room”
Pros: spacious room, clean with a shower bathtub. The staff at the reception and at the bar are welcoming, nice and smiling. The location is very good, even though in the center of Lamai, you do not hear the music of bars in your room. The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. Con: the rooms are badly isolated, we could hear the neighbors talk, snore, etc.
Very nice hotel, very nice staff ”
We had the best time coming here, nice hotel, a large number of beds, quete beach, helpfull staf (as I forgot my phone in the mini-van while moving to Chaweng, they brougt it back), nice bbq on the beach with live band on wensday, all and all perfect. Lamai is layback comparing to Chaweng and good for a 4 to 5 day stay.
Great location right on the beach”
We loved our 2 weeks here, however there was a couple of issues - firstly upon checking in the girl at the Counter was extremely rude, did not welcome us, simply stated "Passports" she was obviously not wanting to be there! The other staff we encountered throughout the resort were lovely and happy to have a chat etc which was nice after the initial check-in. Didn't use the pool - not the best position and no ambience at the pool area. We went to the beach daily and got the sunbeds which were lovely and the cleaners are fantastic (both room & beach) Also have to mention the Coconut massage ladies were amazing we got about 10 massages from them - all wonderful! The only other issue was at check-out (funnily enough) we had pre-arranged a late checkout for an extra 500 bht and paid the girl straight away. upon checkout was asked to pay 500 again as there was no record of it - our fault - should have got a receipt as proof, anyway we argued and they said ok, which says they knew!!!
New favorite spot in Lamai”
Absolutely beautiful spot with great staff, comfortable rooms and beds and a fantastic breakfast. We have been going to Lamai for 6 years and we are so happy to find this gem on the beach. Highly recommended! We will be returning next year. Thank you to everyone for making our stay perfect!
1st time Samui”
Hotel generally very nice. Rooms were cleaned everyday and were always given fresh towels (including ones for the beach). Breakfast food was always good quality and there was a very reasonable selection available. Great location on beach, and only a minutes walk to high street in Lamai. Security could potentially be an issue, as the main block was away from the reception area, and could be accessed by anyone!
Worth the money. Perfect location. Friendly staff”
We got a Bungalow (Garden view) for 5 days. Pros: Room service (with phone in the room) Spacious - with one king bed and one double bed but still enough to move around Housekeeping all day - at one point we left the room at 3pm and we did not even need to call for housekeeping, when we got back around 7PM the room was cleaned with new sheets, towels and complimentary water. One beach bag per room, and umbrella you can take anywhere Room smells nice; bathroom clean. Since it was low season, they allowed us to check out late without additional costs. Very friendly staff, and can speak good English, except one Front Desk Staff - she was a bit dismissive when we asked about tours they offer, but maybe bec she does not speak very good English or was shy. The location was perfect. It was in the middle of everything in Lamai. It was in the middle of the cove, and out back walking just 2mins there's a Family Mart, and dozens of bars and restaurants, but far enough from the noise of the street. Beach front was clean, and the area in front of the resort did not have jetskis so the water was quite clear and clean. Good for swimming. They did not ask us to give a deposit upon check in. So-so: Bed sheets were kinda sandy, but clean enough. Breakfast buffet was so-so. There were enough choices, but some of the food, like Bacon were reheated - not always, but maybe a couple of days. Food and drinks in general was priced in the middle, not cheap and not expensive.Nothing special, but good enough. Cons: No water to clean sandy feet before entering the bungalow. The foot was can only be found near the front desk They turn off the lights on the grounds quite early, say around 8PM? The restaurant and bar closes around that time, I guess bec it was low season. They do not offer free shuttle rides.
