Chill Out Zone”
I had booked 5 nights at Lan Anh Garden resort and had booked a deluxe pool view room. The rooms were clean and of good size comprising of a queen size bed and single bed both with mosquito nets and LCD TV and digital cable channels. There was a large outside porch area which was welcomed to shade from the hot sun. It's not right on the beach but is literally a few minutes walk from the hotel. There was a decent selection of breakfast food available and you could choose which way you would like your eggs. The pool area was a nice size with sunbeds always available and a good size pool. The gardens are well kept and there was always staff kicking around maintaining the grounds. The hotel is located near the airport so charges in a taxi are approximately 125,000 VD. It's a good 10-15 min walk to the busier part of long beach and you can walk on the road or via the beach. If you prefer to stay local there are restaurants and bars around the hotel and offer good prices and good selection of food and fresh seafood in particular. Overall a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again and come back to Phu Quoc which is just idyllic.

great pool, lovely staff”
We loved pretty much everything about Lan Anh Garden Resort: the rooms were large, new and clean, we loved the pool to hang out and relax and the staff were wonderful and super friendly. The location is right at the main street leading from the airport to Duong Dong along 'long beach' which makes it easy to reach but back in the resort you don't hear much of the street. There is no direct access to the beach but we didn't mind as a) it is only a 5 mins walk away and b) to be fair we weren't too impressed with "long beach" anyway (not very wide and quite crowded) so we were glad to have our oasis at the beautiful hotel pool and hung out there a lot. Staff was so friendly they even entertained our baby during our meals so we could eat in peace. Breakfast was great (Western with a few Vietnamese bits on the buffet too) and by the way the hotel's restaurant called "feelings" was also excellent for dinner - maybe the best fish we had on the island.

oh god, it's so pretty”
there are, without doubt, about a million places you could stay on phu quoc - most of them not far from lan anh. honestly, after about twenty minutes going through all the options and everything starting to look the same we picked this one based off the photos alone and it was a very very lucky guess. from our arrival the staff were expecting us, were friendly, helpful and had excellent english. they organised scooters for us to go around the island, got us a discount and booked a very fun squid fishing trip and sorted us a taxi to the airport upon our departure. they even started breakfast early for us to make sure we had a proper meal rather than a takeaway sandwich. the gardens are ridiculously pretty - full of colour and flowers, with a pool right at their heart. big sun loungers and parasols made it a beautiful relaxing place to just chill out. not to mention the lovely private terrace each room / bungalow had. our room came with a mosquito net too which helps since they are around and i am the human equivalent of mosquito apparently. only five minutes walk from the beach too. only real downside is the distance from the town. it looks small on a map. it isn't. and there is a sodding great hill in between you and it ...

Value For Money”
Lan Anh Garden Resort is near to some attractions such as Long Beach, Coco Dive Center, Vietnam Explorer. Hanna and staff offers good services and the hotel have range of amenities. Hanna is a very understanding lady she is committed to ensuring that my stay is as comfortable as possible. The hotel provides family room, car park, tours, laundry service, good wifi, coffee shop to ensure our guests the greatest comfort. The atmosphere of quiet peaceful(except some "V" family guests making noise from morning till night at times) but the place is still in harmony. The garden, outdoor pool are ideal places to relax and unwind after a busy day. Take a 8 mins walk to the long beach passing thru other resort. Thank you Ms Hanna.

Clean and friendly staff”
Stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly even with the language barrier. The manager speaks good english. Advise on travel and motorcycle hire was available at good price. There was a minor problem with hot water even after they said it was fixed. But I soon discovered that if I left the water run long enough, it would get hot The only problem I had was that the bed was hard. I looked at another hotel thinking of changing, It was more expensive and the bed was just as hard. Value for money I was better of at Lan Anh Garden resort. . Will I stay there again. . . Yes, but I do not like the bed

small and cosy resort ”
This is a nice and cosy small resort situated in a quiet area and five minutes away from the beach. Our room was on the first floor with very nice balcony which allowed us to overlook the nicely arranged swimming pool area with lots of greenery. Most of other rooms are bungalow type. The room is very spacious and clean, nicely decorated, making a very pleasant and warm atmosphere, but the bed was too hard. Wireless internet was weak most of the time. While the breakfast was great with lots of different choices, our last lunch at the hotel's restaurant was a disappointment. The portions were small, food not as good at other places around, and it was overpriced. However, our stay was overall great. We love Phu Quoc and we will certainly come back again!

"Resort" is an Overstatement”
The place looks good. There was some noise from construction in the adjoining lot, but it was done by the time we left, and they didn't use power tools. The bed's one of the best I've had, ever, anywhere. Yes, the bathroom is half-open to the elements, but it wasn't a problem; if anything, the improved ventilation helped compensate for certain personal details. Staff performance was checkered. The receptionist we saw first was great, the others not so much. Their suggestions for places to visit were very good, but their directions weren't. This despite the fact that my fiancee is native Viet, southern to boot, so language was not a problem or excuse. It's not really a resort, as the 'restaurant' is little more than an adequate breakfast buffet, with limited service (if any) the rest of the day. It does have a nice pool, though it looks like it might be unusually dangerous for kids. Don't bring any old enough to run but young enough to crack their skulls open. Normally, I'd say the location's not great, but as far as I could tell, it might be the best situated hotel on the island (within its quality and price range). Sure, they're about to build proper 'resorts' on the shore, bulldozing the traditional fishing villages as they go, but once those are up and the expressways are down, what's the point in going all the way to Phu Quoc? Bottom line: if you can get this place for $50 or less, go now before it's too late.

Nice but basic”
Great staff, beautiful little pool and we loved the garden surrounding the rooms - it was a nice little oasis from grungy (but beautiful) Long Beach. The room was very basic and the breakfast buffet was not good. Overall a good stay, but would expect better facilities for the price tag.

Small but nice resort, the resort upgraded to better room for me, staff are very helpfull and friendly. We can rent motor bike there (dirty helmets) It takes around 15' walk to the beach Got small and clean swimming pool I'll return next time

A very positive experience”
We arrived via boat after a long journey from Sihanoukville; we were immediately given water and the checking was smooth and easy. The room was well organized, with a nice view of the pool and the lovely tropical garden. From the hotel the beach was only 5 minutes by foot. The manager of the hotel is very professional and helpful. Her language skills exceptionally good.

We found the staff to be very helpful. We arrived early before check in time but it was ok for to lounge by the pool. Hired motorbike through hotel, very cheap. Quiet location near beach. reasonable rates for rooms. I will recommend it to friends and stay there again

Relaxing stay in a little garden Oasis!”
I had a great 2 day stay. The staff were so great, especially the manager who ensures that everything is perfect for all her guests. My room was beautiful, very clean with lots of little extras like a mosquito racket and net, clothes airer etc. The grounds are beautifully maintained and although there is a fair bit of renovation going on the workers tried hard to not let their work disturb the guests. I had a wonderful few days relaxing and swimming in the nice pool. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants, though it does require walking along s main road. They offer motor bike hire and lots of good value trip and massage options, although no bicycle rental which was a shame. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it, especially for couples.

The hotel was good and rooms were comfortable ”
The hotel was comfortable and the pool was great but due to the restaurant only open for breakfast we had to get taxi's into town each day. This was an issue for us since my partner wasn't well (we had been traveling for 3 weeks) the last thing he wanted to go was try and find something to eat in the heat. We also had construction work next to our room which started at 7am each morning.

Pictures do not mach for real”
They give us an different room what we booked.... told that they upgraded our room, but in real i could say it was more likely downgrade it. Room walls was so thin that all the street and neighbours noise was loudly hear. Very bad sleep quality as the beds was also very hard like sleeping on wood. I also get sick in this hotel (stayed only one night) as the air conditioning was blowing straight to the bed... but as it was very hot then without it it could be also impossible. Swimming pool was very small and did not look so clean... we did not use it. Breakfast was good enough. I would not recommend this hotel.... close by you can found many better options.
