A very pleasant return visit”
Retuned to ChaDa after two years, this time without the family and further along in the season so busier but at least everything was open. It’s a large tourist hotel with beautiful gardens and every facility. Gold Suites with pool access are great, and I often had the whole enormous pool to myself, while most were at the busier beach side pool. It’s a good base and convenient for the pier.
Bem agradável e tranquilo”
It is a place to relax, not so many parties around or loud places, really good pools and very beautiful beach right in front of the hotel. They help you with your luggage and they have very friendly staff. They allow us to take a shower after the check out since we were out for a Day Tour. Really Nice breakfast but for lunch that are not so many options and it is really expensive compared to other restaurants right on the side with the same quality. Coconut for 150 does not make any sense. I would definitely stay again. Close to the Salaam Pier. You need a Tuk Tuk to go to the city at night for 50 bath/person
It was a great stay. I went diving with my son. The only thing that was a bit annoying was, that you had to enter the WIFI-password again and again after closing your i-pad even for a few minutes. But the rest of the stay was just great.
Great place to stay. Just by the beach. Tuktuks ready to take you around Koh lanta.”
Great beach. Location ( we drove so its fine) dont expect to walk to eateries. Huge place great pool access room. Great breakfast
Great resort style holiday - pool access room is a must ”
Loved the pool access room, it was clean and big and not outdated like some reviews I read beforehand suggested. The bed was so comfortable . . By far the most comfortable I have experienced in Thailand. Big comfortable bath also. Breakfast was great, loads to choose from and good quality. Lots of families with small kids which might normally put us off but didn't affect our experience at all. Hotel is right on a nice family beach... the next beach down is also lovely (I actually preferred it) and has more of a hippy feel and less of a family feel. Pool room definitely worth the extra money... pool is huge and clean. Only real negatives are the cocktails from the pool bar were rubbish... absolutely tiny and served in a plastic tumbler .. and expensive and there is a sewer running through the resort which absolutely stinks if it's been raining. If you have the more expensive rooms, pool room or a villa, you won't be affected by this.
Loved the resort”
Not sure why there are negative reviews on this resort. It was great and the room are large and comfortable. we stayed in the gold suite with pool access. Beach was great and food was great and reasonably priced for a resort. Would definitely stay again.
A good choice”
We had an Emerald suite which is perfect for a couple. It puts you away from kids and near to restaurant and beach pool. The only negative was the TV faces a seating area with a love seat not a day bed. In the gold or silver suites you have 2 TV in the room, 1 in seating area and 1 facing bed. I didn't see the need for a direct access to pool like the Gold suites had. Breakfast was great with many choices. We had an issue with shower nozzle and while I was reporting it at reception, they were already sorting it out at the room. Great service. Hotel looks like it had a refresh recently but I did see more silver and gold rooms that needed update too. A bit far from local food places.
A kindergarten ...”
So many kids are there. For me it is OK, I like kids, and I don't mind their happy noise. The suit rooms are really big, second floor are better than the ground floor for its sloppy roof. Restaurant are good, although a little overpriced than outside, but it could be comfort by its good enviornment. As for the price I paid (not more than 100USD), it is quite worthy
Great facilities, let down by the staff”
The room was fantastic, with 2 showers, bath & a hot tub outside (which the kids loved), but the thing that really makes this hotel is the swimming pools, which are of a really good standard and EVERYWHERE. The room was great, the kids especially enjoyed the skylight in the upper bedroom, it was really nice watching the stars at night. The negatives being no free WIFI in the room, which when you consider the price doesn't seems right, come on, even a small coffee shop in this day and age has FREE wifi. Also my wife was on crutches at the time, we request a room with easy access to the restaurant and pools, but we were given a room on the 3rd floor with no lift access, so my wife had to struggle with the stairs. Also the staff were not very helpful and even though they could see us struggling with 2 young children and 1 disabled they would not offer assistance or show initiative. When we did ask for help, such as the golf cart, you could sense their annoyance (it would seem that they would prefer to stand around and do nothing, than to actually do their job properly) The facilities at this hotel are very good, but it was let down by the staff that work there.
Short break before school start”
Great. Breakfast buffet was a bit small, but might been due to low season as not to many guest at the hotel at the time we stayed. Great pool access room nice for the kids. But lacking some fun slider or so on for them to be 100% happy. Free WiFi NOT in the room, this is bad in 2014.
When I first booked this hotel through Agoda, the hotel cancelled my booking and told me that the price I paid was too high!! Wanted me to book directly with them. When I did arrive the hotel pickup was 1 hr 40 min late. The room I got was pool villa - fine, but for the price of an Anantara villa this pool villa left a lot to be desired. Located just behind the pool it was loud from all the charter travellers drunk from the morning. Gardeners camped out right behind my pool on their break, no privacy at. This is not close to a 5 star.
stayed for 2 nights. this was the hotel I was looking forward to this whole trip, to n only be disappointed. they call it a resort but hardly anybody speaks English very hard to communicate with stay besides front desk. rooms are nice but if you pay attention they don't be scrub the tub do gross. I was able to wipe my fingers and rub of the stains. restroom walls have be stains. no body ever smiled, or was polite besides the house keeper who tidied the room, but yet didn't clean tub still. food is okay could be better. the pool was the only thing I loved. breakfast buffet was ok , once again have staff that smiles at least. overall ok needs work
We had a lovely stay here and the pools are lovely. The only bad thing I would say is I'm unsure on the chlorine level as after a while in the pool my skin started to itch and I developed a rash. We loved the pool bar. But the chlorine actually bleached my husband's T-shirt as he had bad sunburn so kept it on by the pool bar. Other than that the food was nice, rooms were clean and very spacious. We loved our stay. We moved on to Railay after here and it wasn't a patch on the service we got here.
Nice ressort with beautiful pools and good food”
I had a great time here. Breakfast ws tasty and the pools where very clean. The rooms were big and comfortable, however, i had sometimes problems with the hot and cold water. In general, I like it a lot.
Very good resort, clean, modern , very large rooms, clean pools, nice beach, plenty of food at breakfast.
Lovely place to relax
Resort style place with all pros and cons”
+ awesome breakfast + big apartments + swimming pools +beach side - location - the rooms are big but dark
Beautiful Resort with Great Staff”
The resort was great, and the staff was really helpful. The room is really cleaned and well maintained.
No way a 5 star hotel!”
Cha Da is a 3.5 star hotel, I would question how it got 5 stars on Agoda. The hotel is dated and needs major maintenance, it is not worth the cost. The young lady on reception does not have a service mind, no smiles or welcome upon our arrival and the first impression we received from her was wanting. She informed me that I had to pay for breakfast for my 5 year old son at 250 thb per day, there was no mention of this on Agoda. When my Thai wife arrived after using the bathroom this fee magically disappeared, so if you're informed of this question it. There is a small river that runs through the resort that smells of sewage, it is absolutely disgusting. Every time you walk to the beach you have to cross a bridge over this river and all you can smell is raw sewage. The room internet is slow and requires you to log in on the same device every time you want to use it. I would never stay in Cha Da again and certainly wouldn't recommend it to you.
Rooms are well equipped and hotel matched the image. Good services and location. Pool near the beach is only for children and too many families with small children for my taste. Breakfast is very good, evening buffet is deasent. Small river in the resort smells very bad. would recommend for for families with children.
