Returning visitors from last year who have already booked for next year ”
Lanta For Rest is exactly what we've been looking for. It's 5 minutes from Klong Dao Beach - our favourite beach, it's minutes away from Oasis Yoga, it's minutes away from some of the best restaurants on the whole island and a minute away from a tuk tuk rank where you can get to anywhere you like and the prices are all on a menu board to avoid any miscommunication. It has a roof top pool which is almost a secret and is rarely visited except by us and has two pools in the separate villa area behind the breakfast dining room. The brekkie is always well prepared and the staff are extra diligent in making sure everyone is looked after. It's a family run hotel and it has become our home from home. We've been to Ko Lanta 4 times in the past 5 years and the last 2 times at Lanta For Rest. We were so enthralled by this visit that we've already booked next year before we left. Yet to sort out flights but we know we'll have a lovely welcome when we get back here.

LOVED IT”
Look no further! Second time staying here. Family run boutique business. Very cosy hotel grounds. 3 pools. Very good for families. Owner of the place upgraded us for free - we did not ask for a pool front villa but she offered saying our 4 year old will love it. Such a nice lady. Some female night receps could not understand simple English but no big deal - just google translate and its all good. They always do their best to help. Son's diaper leaked one day during his nap and they changed our sheets with no charge. Really a lovely place to stay. Clean and comfy rooms. Will absolutely come back to stay here if we are ever parking base at Klong dao again. Worth the money :) Thank you so much Lanta for rest.

Great place for a shorter stay”
We came to For rest after being a week in other resort in Lanta. We had a room by the pool which was really nice. Rooms and furniture are a bit old, but clean. Staff was very helpful with us. Place is near (1-3 min walk) the local stores and the beach. Pretty basic place, not a "wow" effect but wasn't bad either :)

Great stay, perfect for families”
We originally booked for family room on the hotel side but decided to upgrade to the bungalows near the pool and restaurant which was much nicer. Very clean, and very friendly staff with good English, breakfast was also good. Rented scooter from hotel which was cheaper then elsewhere at only 200bht for a day. Great place for families

Poor customer service”
We were given a room that was very cramped and had a terrible mould mildew smell. The lady at the front desk who I believe was the manager was extremely rude and insisted on us paying extra money to move to a room that didn’t smell. Breakfast was cooked to order but was very basic. The hotel was practically empty bar a couple of guests.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lanta for Rest hotel, from the moment we were greeted with a smile, fresh fruit and cold drinks by the owners when we checked in. The owners really care for there guests and continue to show this with gentle care in presentation of the fresh breakfast, staff service and accomodation. Beautiful view from the roof top pool as well as an elegant garden pool with streaming water feature. English cable channels (so many channels), fast wifi, very modern interiors. Great location as VERY close to Klong Dao beach (5min walk). I highly recommend LANTA FOR REST HOTEL. A+++++++++. We as a family were very satisfied and wish the owners the very best with there hotel business and wish all hotels meet Lanta for Rest's exceptional high standards. Kob Koon Karp. :)

Low season in Koh Lanta for Family holidays ”
We were staying in Lanta for rest for about a weeks in the mid of may. This is our family holiday and we traveled with two kids. Low season is a best time to visit ko lanta especially Lanta for rest boutique resort. This is a clean and simple hotel and definitely valued for money. We were staying in Family bungalow and we were the only guests in this low season. The both kids swimming pool and adult pool was very nice. Staff was very friendly although you only can see them during breakfast time (low season). We had a wonderful family holiday throughout this low season. The only thing I would like to comment is the water not drained properly under the bungalow lots. Although if won't cause any inconvenience to the guest cause the bungalow was actually built higher above the ground level. But that actually breeding a lot of mosquitoes. Hence, please stand by some insect repellent when you visit here. But overall was very good.I have promised my kids will come back here next year.

Favourite hotel in all of Thailand”
We were in Thailand for 3 weeks traveling all over the country, and even though Lanta for Rest was not the most expensive or luxurious, it was by far our favourite hotel. We had 3 nights here. It was right off the main road and in walking distance to some great restaurants and the beach. We rented a scooter from the hotel directly and enjoyed the roof top pool. The breakfast was the best by far (fresh croissants daily!) and the wifi was also the best out of everywhere we stayed (wifi issues everywhere). The staff were super friendly and helpful, arranging tours and shuttle buses for us. Very happy here and wish we had stayed another day.

Great value & friendly staff”
We extended our stay from 2 to 3 nights as our room was spacious, quiet and the staff was very nice. Lanta For Rest is located 3 mins walk from the beach and tuktuk driver charged us 200 bahts from the Lanta Saladan pier. Hotel offers transports to most relevant destinations, including to the Krabi airport, for very decent prices. A large 7-eleven is just around the corner.

Very nice hotel with 3 swimming pools (incl. 2 in the bungalow yard, 1 on the roof of the 5th floor of the apartment building). Very friendly staff, willing to help you all the time when you need, very fair price at hotel for booking the 1-day offshore island trip to Rok and Pi Pi, minivan transportation btw hotel and Krabi town/Krabi airport. very good breakfast, tidy and clean room with big balcony and big shower. We will definitely to come back and stay here again next time when we're in Lanta.

Quiet but close to Main Street and not far to beach”
Pros: after about 1.5 weeks on quiet beaches, it was nice to be closer to main road where there were more restaurant choices, very friendly staff, beach was an easy walk and khlong dao beach quite a bit flatter and wider than khlong nin or khlong khong. Good for playing sports. Pool was looking big and good for laps. Had small children's pool with a slide and a small jungle gym. Both small but kids enjoyed playing on them. Bungalows looked nicer than hotel. Hotel had cement floors. Con: room soundproofing was not very good

Really lovely rooms!”
This place is close to the ferry (they charge 150b-200b in a tuktuk) and near the family beach, so it's a very friendly place. All of Koh Lanta is very chilled out of course, but it's not the more backpacking area with the nice eateries, and party nightlife, but it's only a ten minute scooter ride from there. I loved the room so much (full glass window from shower to bedroom, and a balcony out on the hills) that I stayed an extra night. It has two very quiet pools to choose from, a scooter hire place and a gym. It's very close to 7-11 and some nice places to eat on the maon road.
