Never disappoints ”
Centrally located, great sized rooms and 2 swimming pools. The rooms are serviced regularly and towels are clean and soft. Fridge, TV, kettle and fridge . Nothing is too much trouble and the resort is really well maintained . This was our 3rd year and we will be back soon

Wonderful, homely resort! ”
At the first sight we came to Lanta Manda, we felt like home! A small resort in very nice location with spacious bungalows. Bungalows were not new, but they were partly renovated. They were very comfortable. Nice own patio where you could sit and enjoy the jungle feel. There were some mosquitos, but not too many. We had a mosquito coil outside, and we used some spray inside, no problem. Only con were too hard bed, but the staff were so friendly, that when I asked for an extra blanket for the mattress (to bring softness), they brought it the same day. And another on the next day! With two extra blankets I could sleep well. Location was near everything, the beach, 7/11, breakfast places (highly recommend Fruit tree lodge!), and restaurants, both at the beach and on the streets. Also laundry places were near. Motorbikes are for rent at the resort. There were option to get breakfast at the hotel, but very few people used it and we never went there.

Great location, great comfort, perfect staff!”
Ideally located in a quiet area within the popular Long Beach, with only a short walk to reach the sand. Villas are clean and comfortable and allow access to 2 good swimming pools. Excellent value for money and a host who couldn't do enough to help us. Thank you Merry, hopefully we will see you again, very soon. Highly recommended!

Great location on the hill and quiet. However many maintenance issues and problems with electricity and water. Understaffed and many problems in the office. The cleaning crew are great, however and when they restore the buildings to their former glory it will be one of the best locations in Lanta!

Great bungalow accommodation”
Loved our stay at Lanta Manta. We rented a scooter onsite that made getting around the island super easy. Fantastic, quiet beaches within a few minute ride. The resort has lots of restaurants, fruit stands and mini marts within walking distance. Unit was very clean and spacious.

The bungalows are very outdated. Inside there was a bad smell. First night we asked for change and staff agreed however other houses were the same. The issue is that windows, curtains and old furnitures should be definitely properly clean / washed. Second point is aircondion: looks like it was never cleaned. I could saw black places inside. Mosquito net in the window should be fixed. In the room we had fridge and safe. Breakfast was very basic. Each day the same. It was good but after 4th day we wanted to eat anything else :). Swimming pool near to main road was closed however there was second and better pool up on the hill (not enough sun beds). All other things were amazing. Island is beautifull, location of this hotel is perfect, staff was friendly and speak english. The place looks very nice outside of the bungalows and we had nice time spend on the terrace. Also we have got metal bottles to refill water which was available any time at the reception(to reduce plastic).

This is a nice place and is good value for money. The water pressure was a little low for my liking and the bed was too hard, but that's just my preference (a goldilocks moment). The staff are friendly and welcoming and the location is quiet.

Steep hill”
We were mainly happy with our stay. Our room were high up on the hill so the walk there was tough. The pools were in OK condition, one of them was a bit hard to find though. The room was OK too, didn't get any hand soap in the bathroom though. The beach just below the resort wasn't that nice; we prefered biking more north. Recommend the café across the street - really lovely breakfast and coffee & mango shake.

Good AC”
We were two couples who stayed here for 3 nights. It was nice to have our own private rooms. There are two pools, the upper pool being the best. However, there were only about 5 chairs by the upper pool which was a little odd. The AC in the room is excellent. The fridges in both our rooms didn’t seem to work. The location was okay, there are some good restaurants in walking distance.

An Ok budget stay for a night or two”
We had problems with the bathrooms, showers and the rooms that we booked but the pool that we used at the top of the hill was great and the staff are friendly.

The place is fine, nice big room, decent pool, but the service is very lacking. ”
When we arrived mid aft (after check in time) we were told the room wouldn’t be ready for an hour. We left our bags in reception and went to eat next door. Returning over an hour later we found our bags unattended in an empty reception. After waiting for quite a while we were taken up to our room. No water provided in the room, you have to fill up metal bottles at reception and carry them up to your room - ours was a good 5 minute walk uphill from reception which in Thai heat isn’t fun. The bath was stained and not inviting. On the first night we found the front window wouldn’t lock and so could be easily opened from the outside. We had to move one bed nearer ours to feel safe. We reported this to reception twice but over the three nights we were there they didn’t attempt to fix it. It’s a shame as the location is ok, and lanta is beautiful. The pool at the top is wonderful (we didn’t use the other), and the houses are good size. But sadly it is let down by the service

Our second time at Lanta Manda. We really enjoyed both times!”
We stayed at Lanta Manda in 2016 and really enjoyed our time in Koh Lanta and much of this was due to Lanta Manda. This year, February 2018, we returned again. The staff at Lanta Manda even ensured we got the same bungalow. All the things that made our previous stay so enjoyable still worked for us s this time. Lanta Manda is not directly on the beach so I gave it a 4 star for location. It isn’t a long or hard walk to Long Beach and the side benefit is that when you are at Lanta Manda you get privacy and quiet yet the beach is but a few minutes away. This worked well for us on both occasions as we spend plenty of time on the beach but we did find sometimes we just enjoyed ourselves at the pool at a Lanta Manda getting some sun with quick cool dips to cool off. This resort works for couples, families and has plenty of people with toddlers and babies. Again I believe the quiet location works for everyone. The staff here are welcoming and helpful with any request you may have.

Nice cottages, good location”
Lanta Manda Resort is a nice mid-range resort off the main road in the Phra Ae area of Koh Lanta. The resort is not on the beach, but it is only perhaps a 200m walk away. I personally preferred Phra Ae beach to Klong Dao. It is less crowded and the shell hunting is very fun. The cottages have A/C, fridge, safe, hot water showers and nice little porch in the front and back. The decor is slightly dated, but not bad at all. The resort has a decent little pool, but I didn't use it since the beach was so close. I would stay here again

pretty new resort, nice priced big bungalows”
nice bungalows at nice prices, helpfull staff, tuctucs stop off and on at the exit of the resort and can take you anywhere for 50-100 tbh. but to be honoust, if you can get a resort right at the beach, for the same price with similar reviews, i would always go for that. but, i'm not sure there are any. koh lanta is a nice island, with pretty beaches and good food. make sure to make a daytrip by speed boat to koh rok, a fantastic little island with great snorkliing spots along the way.

Em the manager was great, really genuine”
it was our first stay at lanta manda, and the gm em was really very helpful and genuine in his desire to please his guests. i felt that the general condition of the resort was a tad jaded and could do with a renovation. on our last night they ran out of water! yes they had to get water trucked in and when the water finally came on a few hours later it not clear clean water. otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

50/50 this visit”
This was our second stay at Lanta Manda. First experience was fantastic however this time we had a few issues. Firstly, our room smelt like mould! Coming from the air conditioning i would assume, but it was not a nice smell all the same. The restaurant was under construction and wasn't notified prior to arriving. This shoul be price reflective but no discounts were offered which was disappointing. The last breakfast we had there made both my wife and I sick also! The only thing we ate differently that morning was the fruit, but none the less we paid for it for 24hrs!!! As always but as expected being a guest, the staff/service was awesome! Over all after this occasion i would recommend staying somewhere else until things like the A/C have been fixed. Really dissapointed as our first stay made us want to come back and stay again.

The resort is nice, with good, clean facilities. The room is large and is cleaned everyday which was nice. It was slightly over priced for what you get, but I think this was due to the Christmas period. The staff were very kind and friendly and are happy to help with anything. Thank you
