Above average”
The bungalow on the garden was aesthetically nice but full of huge scary spiders, spider eggs and termites. The noises during the night were terrible. The owner was unkind and rude.

Loved our stay - experience bungalow life!”
First, my reviews are never based on unrealistic expectations like most I weed thru when reading. This is a bungalow on the beach in Thailand. Guess what: there's bugs. It's a tropical jungle. If you are upset by that, get an expensive resort/hotel with AC. We booked 2 nights and stayed 4. We loved it. We had a garden view with a fan. We both slept great under the mosquito net. The bathroom set up was nice (no door so us relatively newlyweds would leave the bungalow when the other needed some, uh, time on the toilet). The fan was more than enough in our Feb stay. Beach was a minute away. Private and quiet. Hotel had chairs and tables to use. We snorkled right there and saw a lot of fish around the rocks. Walking distance to lots of restaurants (we found a GREAT local spots near the 7-Eleven). Rented a scooter there for 200B, gave a passport, had absolutely no problem returning it. I was concerned about the owners after reading reviews online, but they were helpful and pleasant. We booked at a travel place down the road and when our pickup didn't arrive Riversand called them for us to help sort it out. I think the other guy just forgot about us and put us on a later ferry. Should have book with Riversand. We only got drinks at the restaurant there: what a view! Wifi worked great near the main reception/restaurant. The hammocks on the porch were a highlight. So nice to relax after a day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend this to travelers who want the bungalow experience! We wish we would have stayed longer!

Perfect way to start our travels”
This was our third year staying here. We land at krabi and get a direct taxi to the resort. Totally natural environment in a bamboo hut on stilts. We always have sea view, directly on the beach. Crisp sheets, large mosquito net and a decking with seating and hammocks. The beach is never busy and a the sea is a welcome retreat from the sun. Hire a ped and explore the island as there is so much to see and do. Plenty of restaurants nearby, I recommend ottos and richeys (on next beach just down from Rasta bar). I notice negative comments about the owner, he is not rude, he's just a quiet man who has been nothing but helpful to us the last three years. Restaurant food is very good and a great place for sunset. If you want a relaxing, peaceful, natural retreat then I can not recommend this place enough. See you again next year....

Quiet and beautiful place at the beach”
We enjoyed the time here very much, in the middle of nature. The place is close to the village center (restaurants, 7-11) and still very quiet and relaxing. View in the ocean is just beautiful here. Staff/Owners are ok, a bit more enthusiasm from their side would be amazing..

Great location but don't expect a warm welcome”
Location- at the end of a small and quiet beach.
We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. Lovely rustic rooms and great views with easy access to the beach. Generally the hotel was a little run down and little effort was made to keep it clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was falling apart, but the main bar area was really nice to relax in and the fit perfectly into the beautiful surroundings. The staff were not rude, but they were not welcoming either. We were lucky if we got a grunt out of most of them which is unusual in Thailand. The food was pretty good, but we often ate in the restaurants on the main road behind the hotel where the quality and portion sizes were better and the price is lower. Overall I would recommend this hotel but don't expect luxury or a warm welcome.

Stroppy staff”
Obviously high season and with budget prices expect to be made to feel undervalued by slap happy service from senior staff. Albeit nothing was too much trouble for the junior staff who were most obliging. Somewhat of a contradiction as would love to go back however feel the impression was strong enough despite location humble dwelling and natural surroundings which is what we wanted.

Perfect little getaway ”
The location, its simplicity and the food.
We stayed in the 'small garden view' bungalows for 9 nights over New Year and it was perfect for us. It was very simple, raised up on stilts, the bungalow was just made of wood and bamboo, with gaps looking down onto the vegetation below. Sometimes we were joined by little insects, but it truly was like being in nature. The mattress was comfortable, with a huge mosquito net over it to keep anything out. There is no glass in the windows so you get the breeze (but also noise from neighbours if they're not respectful). No, we didn't have a sea view but it was 30 seconds away. We'd spend afternoons lying in our hammock reading out books. The only downside is that over New Years it is very hot and in the heat of the day, the fan didn't quite cut it. But it was perfect in the night. The sea front cafe had great wifi and the staff were always helpful. The food is a little more expensive than restaurants behind on the main street, but you get what you pay for - good quality food with an amazing view. I can't recommend this place enough for people who don't want super luxury, but just want simplicity.

Lovely caban on the beach”
Beautiful caban, on the beach, nice area close to Old Lanta town and South beaches
Really pleasant stay, but the bar/restaurant is really expensive, breakfast is 2x more than other places and not that good

Unfriendly and unconvenient”
Our request for picking up from the pier was ignored. As we arrived there was no welcome or any hospitality. Staff is only business-focussed. We wanted to drink and eat sth but were just ignored. The owner was sitting on her desk, counting the bills and the money. We asked for hammocks three times, the answer was: everybody is busy! The bungalows itself look nice and for those who like sleeping in nature between beetles, cockroaches and mega big spiders (all of them in our room!) it's maybe the right adress. The location direct at the beach is also nice, but it isn't suitable for swimming because of the rocks. During the night it rained into the house on our bed and also our stuff like clothes, iphone etc. got wet. We booked two nights but left after one horrorfying sleepless night. The unfriendly owner didn't even want to call us a taxi. Her answer again: Everyone is busy. The restaurant as well as the bungalows are overpriced. We found better ones for a cheaper price. Would never go to this place again!
