Lanta Sand Resort & Spa is on the western part of the Koh Lanta and set in a garden and coconut grove. The remote location is quiet and the very large villas are clean, comfortable, and extremely tranquil. The resort has two beautiful pools and makes a delightful spot for relaxation or a good base from which guests can explore the islands, take nature hikes, or go scuba diving and snorkeling. The hotel is near restaurants and some shopping as well. The restaurant serves Thai and international food and there is a beach and pool bar to keep you refreshed under the sun. A highlight of your stay at Lanta Sand Resort & Spa will be the spa with a number of treatments to pamper you. If you’re looking for a special and unique experience, look no further than Lanta Sand Resort & Spa.

Great value for the price”
In the off season you can snag a private plunge pool villa for relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of the island. Location is good but not great. Motorbike rental is double from the hotel what you can get elsewhere. Other than that, it's worth checking out
A beautiful location, right on the beach”
We stayed here for three nights in a villa with a private plunge pool. The room was lovely. The beachfront was amazing. The breakfast was wonderful, with the restaurant right at the beach. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a beach front stay in Koh Lanta.
Pros: Very huge comfortable bed, good size of room, nice spa bath inside the room, relaxing pool and beach area, helpful staffs, reasonable price Cons: king size bed is two single put together, water tasted weird, limited parking space
Fabulous Beach, Awesome staff, beautiful resort”
This is the best beach amongst many beautiful beaches and it is a very comfortable and beautiful resort, with great pool, nice food, glorious spot, lovely rooms. The small plunge pool in our villa was perfect during the hot hot days. But best of all were the staff. Great smiles, repeatedly went out of their way to help, and really seem to love their job. Shout out to Jordan, and to Petter and Su, who took especially good care of my coeliac husband. Will come back.
GREAT ESCAPE AT LANTA SANDS RESORT & SPA”
Everything was perfect, from the room to the pool. My kids love it so much. Will book again soon.
You can’t go wrong with this hotel. The location is right on Long Beach. There are great restaurants right beside the hotel, even though the hotel restaurant is very good as well. The Breakfast is the best that I have had on this 1 month trip! The sunsets are amazing, happy hour everywhere, and a cheap tuk tuk ride into saledan town (the pier). I highly recommend this hotel!
We got there and wanted to upgrade the room which was no problem for a small extra charge. Staff was incredible, very helpful and friendly. Sunny made sure that all our needs were met. Awesome location on the beach with lots of loungers to watch the day go by. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to everyone working who made our visit a memorable one.
Worth for money”
Pros 1. Helpful and service minded staff 2. Location 3. Big room 4. Good breakfast
Beautiful hotel, helpful friendly staff ”
Such a beautiful hotel on the beach, very clean and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Jordan (I think that was his name!), office manager, was exceptionally helpful. Rooms were cleaned everyday and there was plenty of room for a family of 4 in the family room. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for an amazing stay.
Sands top notch resort ”
We were very happy to have booked this hotel. The area is great with easy access to the pier, boat tours, beach restaurants and town market. Simply put this is by far the best resort in this area and is very family friendly with large rooms, pools and the large garden area is very impressive. Exercise area is ample and there is a kid pool in front so you can watch your kids swim while you exercise. Didn’t do the breakfast which wasn’t a prob with so many options just a walk along the beach away. Staff was second to none. Always smiles, said hello and tried to help even if not perfect all the time. We miss this place already so much .... thanks Koh Kanta Sands !
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE! Beautiful grounds and GREAT value for your money!”
Lanta Sand exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed by how beautifully maintained the grounds are. Very lush and nice paved paths. My boyfriend uses a wheelchair and they had ramps all throughout. The only tough part was getting down to the ocean because there are stairs to go to the sand, but the staff are more than willing the help. We stayed in the plunge pool room - extremely spacious with big bathroom. The food is pricey, which is to be expected at a resort. But there are cheaper restaurants within walking distance - go to Soi 14, nicest couple you will ever meet owns the restaurant and cooks the food. We went in late March and it felt like there was barely anywhere there, very quiet. You can easily catch a tuk tuk from the resort to other areas on the island, and also the staff are very helpful in booking excursions. We booked a snorkeling tour with them as well as our ferry tickets. We would definitely go back!
Just a great place :)”
I really liked staying at Lanta Sand Resort and Spa :) So much that I first stayed for 5 Days then checked out to go to Koh Lanta and then re-booked for the rest of my trip on Koh Lanta. There was no reason to stay anywhere else since I loved it here. The resort is not to big nor to small, it is very Clean, they have good food and a GREAT staff. Already looking in to book this Place for my next visit to Koh Lanta.
Really nice place on beautiful beach. Uncrowned. ”
Would recommend Lanta Sand for your stay. Best beach on The main section of Lanta. Staff very friendly, breakfast is good, rooms nice and clean, even by western standards. Tons of restaurants and store options on beach but it’s still a great place to relax ( or retire permanently). Sunsets are amazing. Rent a scooter and check out the rest of Lanta, paradise.
Lovely hotel right on the beach but no real kids club”
A lovely hotel but not great if you are hoping for a bit of adult only time. Very pretty and clean hotel right on Long Beach. Three lovely pools. Wonderful breakfast. Lots of cheapie eating options along the beach. 99baht cocktail happy hours. Great, genuine staff who can’t do enough for you; and are always ready for a laugh. However, i was disappointed that there was no real kids club. Just an unsupervised room with some toys suitable for toddlers. Such a shame as this was the main reason we booked this place. I think they should change the way they reference this as is very mis- leading. You cannot leave your children here whilst you have some alone time. Babysitters are 350baht an hour. Hotel room was nice but bizarrely the entire balcony is a pool; meaning there is nowhere to sit outside. Also, the lock for the door to the pool is in the kids room and is easily within reach of small fingers which could be a safety issue for littlies. Nice hotel other than these quirks.
Our Favorite Hotel in Thailand ”
This Resort will not disappoint! The rooms are very large and have a good layout. The amenities are great also. Multiple pools to use, a great bar & restaurant at the beach, and fantastic beach side lounging chairs. Our favorite was the hammock like net beds on the beach. We laid there an entire day on our trip. “Sunny” the hotel staff at the front desk was spectacular. He took the time to get to know us and really cared to ensure we enjoyed our stay on the island. He also assisted me when needing some minor first aid attention and acted with care and concern. Our only negative remark is the amount of construction going on around the resort. We could not walk to the beach without seeing loads of construction material laying about all over the place. This made the scenery a bit tarnished which is a main point of a resort. Despite this I would 100% recommend Lanta Sands and will go back again one day!
AMAZING Stay at Lanta Sand!”
Lanta Sand totally exceeded my expectations for the price I paid! I was in the villa with plunge pool and it felt like it’s own mini house. The outdoor shower was a huge plus. When I was there (mid-November) the construction was almost finished and wasn’t a bother at all. It’s essentially right on the beach. We had breakfast one morning and it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long time - but it was pricey which is why I didn’t have it every morning. The highlight of Lanta Sand is definitely Sonny - he basically runs the place, taking care of anything and everything! There was a small mishap with the type of room that was booked at first but he took care of it immediately and it was no problem. Thank you Sonny! Definitely recommend staying here.
We were there in low season. The place was mostly empty, our room was cheap and we just loved it. Extended our stay and then came back after visiting another Island. If we're back on Lanta again we'll probably go back here, it was great. btw, nets over the sand are an awesome idea. We spent most days lying in the net over the sand, listening to the waves and ordering drinks. Not sure it'll have quite the same vibe in high season however so be warned.
Great Resort & Friendly Staffs”
The only problems we face with this low session ... 1) Renovation in progress. Only 1 pool available. 2) Foods (Dinner) not really good. 3) We experienced a few power interruption. Luckily resort have own power generator. * The rest is really really good.
Nice resort, a very good bargain (low season). Excellent staff; the manager, front desk, housekeeping. Spacious room (a bit old furnishing though) with a lovely plunge tub in the balcony (Family room). Luckily we didnt book the pool access room as it was quite noisy around the pool area. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay here. (stayed for 5 nights).
Great hotel with friendly staff ”
I went during off season so it was great value for money. Upon arrival I was greeted with smiles and Jason happily escorted me to my room, chatting and letting me know what was available. The rooms were big and comfortable and I really enjoyed the different shapes the hotel cleaning staff made my towels into, once they realized I liked them. The only downside to my stay was the spa. It is twice the price of anywhere else , Ya, I think was new or not really sure about what to do and then seemed to be bored 3/4 of the way through and finished the msaasge . I did point out the problem but she insisted it was over ( I had checked the time before we started and because I had to pay before the start there was nothing I could reall do) , my suggestion would be to go elsewhere. Everything else was great
