Amazing Views, Nice Location
Accomodation & Location
We stayed in one of the lodge rooms which was very nice and had the most amazing views when the low cloud finally cleared. The only downside for us was the offering at breakfast. We found our cooked breakfasts to be dry, overcooked and pretty tasteless, which was a real shame!

Beautiful castle
Location, Garden, Castle tour
We stayed in the stables. This comes with shared bathroom, but for very good value for money. The tour in the castle is included. The breakfast was very nice. The location on Otago Peninsula is picturesque and nicely quiet.

Castle, grounds & coffee
We arrived on Christmas day and had a lovely day and evening at the castle. Also if you're after good coffee the cafe is great plus was the only decent cafe open in dunedin on christmas day.

Interesting stay at the stables
Beautiful gardens, reasonably comfortable rooms, great breakfast
Rooms were warm and comfortable to sleep in, though we had shared toilet and shower facilities. The stay included the entry fee into the castle and gardens, and breakfast; which made the price tag reasonable. We spend the whole day exploring the castle and gardens and stopped to get out for a dinner in the town nearby, as we did not wish to partake the banquet offered by the hotel. Found some cobwebs in our room, which took off some points for cleanliness, and there was much noise from the garden at night (we are not used to, mainly much insects, etc) but the great morning breakfast makes up for these. Service was top notched, and we could order anything we liked. There was a small buffet of items for your selection too.

night at Larnach Castle
Its location and views. Comfortable room. Gardens
Enjoyed my stay very much . Was only there for one night. would like to stay longer next time. Had dinner in the castle dinning room that evening and enjoyed the company of the other guests very much. Would visit again as I would have liked more time to explore the grounds.
