Beautiful place, However, lack facilities for senior citizens ie. ramps. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Would like more activities too, especially at night. But all in all, a great experience. Will definitely go back.
Travel Back Time”
It was a unique experience to stay overnight because it doesn’t feel like I was in the Philippines for awhile. The unique architectural structure is astounding and the whole place itself. Dining at Nanay Maria’s restaurant felt like I traveled back 100 years ago. A really good experience to relax and be away from a stressful envirotof the city. Just hanging out by the beach and watching the stars was another relaxing experience.
A secluded place”
This is a nice place for a night stay, go there in the morning and see the collection of old houses of prominent people century back. Join the tour on the next day to learn the history of those houses and the owners. They have fine amenities with free bar but unfortunately their restaurants is way below of my expectations.
Destination of choice ❤️”
My husband is a history and a documentary addict. Having that in mind, I knew my choice for hotel to book for our 11th anniversary would be Las Casas. Our 3 day 2 night stay was worth every penny spent. I specifically would like to thank Crytal, from the Reception Area, in helping me arrange a surprise exclusive dinner for me and my husband. Location is superb. Food is awesome. Customer service is topnotch.
Place is well kept and maintained. Offers unique type of recreation. Place is serene, ideal place for relaxation. (Though, kindly check bathroom facilities. Heater in our bathroom was not working properly.)
Casa Filipinas de Acuzar is an amazing cultural experience in the Philippines. The heritage buildings which have been reconstructed, the beach location and the river system that runs through the property makes it an exceptional recreation site. There is so much to enjoy in the various activities available and the landscape is exceptional. Better operational management of the place will make the place even more special.
The most awful experience in my life”
It is extremely impolite of few of hotel reception staff. What does it matter to taking pictures with good wearing as like suit or long sleeve shirts?? Does have any rule to do not wearing tie in vacation place in the world? Me and wife visited here to remind wedding, hotel doesn't mention any dress rules at the beginning, middle of journey, suddenly they banned to taking picture. For sure, I understand in case if someone just visiting and taking picture, they can charge it. But we had paid our room and we didn't make any inconveniences to other guest, WTF banned take picture? I am still doesn't understand what hotel define former dress mean. Oh, additional tip; here doesn't offer warm water shower bath, coffee pot is broken, haven't sound proofing when you are sleeping. For me, here is the worst place I ever been. What are waste money...you'd better only viewing here one day or take other hotel.
The property is amazing, however still under construction, the rooms were nice and clean and beds were comfortable and washrooms were big. The beach was clean well groomed and the grounds around the property were also. The food at the restaurants were very good except for the free breakfast.... We paid almost 10kPhp per night for a 2 queen bed room, there was no room service, poor internet connection, the Italian restaurant was sold out of all fresh juices and all coffee, prices were high for everything since your kind of stuck on the resort... There is really no service beach front they have towels sitting there in the lifeguard stand but no umbrellas a few chairs sitting in the hot sun, and nobody to order a drink or water from and if you do want something you need to wait for a jeepney to drive by and pick you up so you can pay min 50php for small bottle of water... I loved the scenery and peacefulness of the resort but it needs some management to bring the whole experience together...
place was spectacular may it day or night! beach was very clean. staff are exceptionally friendly”
service was superb. hope there are more resto like before where there was rest with bibingka stand, shakes and light snacks. I ibserved that a number of senior citizens were having a hard time removing and wearing their shoes, also walking barefoot. some staff should also help them climb up stairs. hope beach umbrellas were provided to guests and not used speed boats, kayaks
Very nice place with pleasant staff but food not good”
Ambiance, cleanliness & friendliness of service is very good. Service orientation can still be improved. Biggest let down is the quality and taste of food in all the 3 restaurants, including the breakfast buffet. Food cost is generally on the high side, thus, expectation is high quality & good taste. Unfortunately, the quality and taste does not justify the price. It is mediocre to not good, charged at a premium price. This is one aspect that should be seriously addressed to help the overall guest experience at the resort.
This is an wonderland for architecture and history lovers. Everything is great except the food needs improvement.
Very relaxing tour with a reminisce of historical scenery/entertainment. ”
I love this place. Not so far from Manila, artistic scenery of ancient houses which differs in daylight and nighttime, very relaxing tour coz the rooms are very big, the eatery is also large, very good cultural young dancers with history of each dance, swimming both for pool and beach is also available.
Dear MA, Salud, buena vida - Mabuhay! It’s heartwarming to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Sincerely, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Team
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a definite feast for the eyes especially to those who love history. It's not just a place where you can enjoy an overnight stay inside Victorian styled rooms but a cultural experience where you discover new and interesting things. This mini village of old, colonial style houses was a definite beauty worth visiting. Some of the things we definitely enjoyed were the cultural shows (carabao parade, folk dances) and heritage tours offered by the resort. They're complementary and offer a worthwhile way to pass the time. The food was also good. We loved the Sinigang na Tadyang ng Baka and the Pinakbet from Cusina ni Nanay and the breakfast buffet was also good. If there's one thing Las Casas needs to improve on, it's service. The service was not yet as refined as one would expect from a place like this. The check-in/check-out was haphazard and the buffet was not well organized - glasses, plates and food ran out fast and took a long time to be replenished.
Dear Jamila, Salud, buena vida - Mabuhay! We appreciate you taking your time to evaluate your recent stay. Rest assured, we are doing our best to further improve the Las Casas experience including the food served at our restaurants. Thank you for choosing Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar and we hope that you’ll continue to choose us again in the future! Sincerely, The Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Team
If you want to experience a view of Filipino-spanish heritage, Las casas is the place to go... good location to have a glimpse of spanish culture.. good food choices at the restaurant located within Las Casas too.. your choice whether you want a Filipino cuisine, western or Italian. Affordable and reasonable prices for food. You can also relax at the beach, rooms are located right in front of the beach. Staff service are very friendly. also there is a pool where you can enjoy an afternoon swim.. variety of activities you can do. Rooms are also spacious, we stayed at ascesoria 2, quite old and airconditioning is quite loud. lack of improvements. but overall it is ok.
Pros: 1. Resort is a novelty. Facility is nicely planned since the owners are in the construction industry (architect & interior decorator). 2. Our tour guide (for 2 tours), Kathleen, had a good sense of humor. Cons: Mainly related to the hotel services 1. In both check-in and check-out counters, there was no one really in charge (like a manager to oversee the process). Same is true for shuttle rides (no lines). 2. No visible concierge. You just have to look for someone who looks like an employee for your questions - only to hear that you have to call the front desk for questions 3. Room towels should be changed! 4. Only 1 free bottle of water for overnight guests. We asked for a glass of water and was told we had to buy additional bottles! Even at the lobby / check-in area! 5. Employees need training on customer service. I'm sure all the employees are nice people, but they lack the basic training on how to talk to guests (saying hello or good morning) & attend to their basic needs
Travel back in time”
Wonderful experience to stay in a Philippine heritage house. Felt like we're inside a history book. Beautiful sunset too at the beach. Service is top notch and good food choices.
The place is rich in history and fil culture”
The reservation group are very considerable and customer friendly
The place is great to chill/relax. Such a cozy place during morning and evening strolling. It brings back how beautiful the houses before. 😊 the money spent in this trip is so worth it!! One of the best place either for solo, group or family travel!!!
Nice place, in terms of space it was a very spacious resort. There were jeepneys to take you places but you had to wait a few minutes. Free buffet breakfast was ok. Tour was ok. The swimming pool though was full of leaves. Parking was far from everything else. My advice is pack light, and get everything you need from the car before you check-in. We had dinner at Cucina ni Nanay Maria which served local dishes. Servings were more than enough and delicious.
An adventure to remember ”
We’ve enjoy our stay, the nostalgia of the place, culture and heritage. Breakfast is good ample choices. Polite and courteous staff, drivers do rounds even in the wee morning to offer rides to bring us to our room. Although there were set backs , - additional 1.5K PHP for an extra person though the maximum capacity of the room is 5. - very late check in 3pm, most of the guest were sleeping on couches waiting. We got our key cards at around 3:10pm. Nevertheless I hope they would improve on this. We will still comeback.
