Quiet and private resort, excellent hospitality”
We felt really home from the moment we stepped close to the resort, they had a personalised welcoming board. The front desk lady was really sweet and did a diligent follow up to ensure our shuttle van pick up was on time. Bathroom was exceptionally spacious and a plus point to have a swimming pool in the resort. My friend and I ended up just stayed in during our stay, we did not head to the town for one full day. Lovely place!
Friendly little resort”
We loved this little resort, with its friendly staff , lush gardens and beachfront location. One morning we went to the market, a short walk away, bought fruit and when we got back we asked for a knife to cut it all up. But they took it away and returned with it cut up beautifully and served it to us like a platter. What wonderful service! The breakfasts were good, though the rest of the food was just OK. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and opened up on to a terrace, but we had to keep the doors closed because of mosquitoes and other insects. The lights were also too dim. The beach in front was pretty but is not a swimming beach. For swimming you have to take a 45 minute ride to Nacpan Beach, which is beautiful.
Clean, green and beautiful”
A little off the beaten track from the main road is the beautiful and full of greenery Last Frontier Resort. The rooms are clean, spacious and located right off the beach, meaning your walk to the sand is only 2 minutes away. If you don't fancy the sea water, take a dip in their pool while watching the boats full of divers coming and going. I loved it here and would be delighted to come back one day soon!
Nice beachfront hotel”
Nice small hotel directly on the beach. We stayed in the basic king room. It was indeed pretty basic and dated but had all we needed. I would suggest staying in the bungalows which looked much nicer and modern. Nice beach front pool and bar. Good breakfast. Wifi was very poor and only worked in lobby. Our room was directly next to the lobby but we still couldn't pick up any wifi. This was disappointing and not as advertised online.
Nice Hotel at the Corong-Corong Beach. Staff is really friendly and rooms are good and clean. I wouldn‘t prefer this beach because Corong-Corong Beach and Caalan Beach aren‘t for swimming. Therefor you have to go to Las Cabanas Beach which is really close from the hotel. City Center is also easy to reach from the hotel. So in generally a good place to stay to arrive from there different places. By the way the restaurant are also good and cook amazing.
Excellent location with great views from our beachfront cottage ”
I loved our stay here, it was an island paradise and the cottage we stayed in was beautiful. We had the best view from the beachfront and of the pool. They do have mosquitoes here though but you can ask the staff to spray the room for you while you’re out. They helped me book alternative travel plans due to the ferry being cancelled the morning of. I would definitely come back here and stay with them again.
lovely place but still needs to improve facilities ”
The staff were fabulous, so helpful and genuine. The rooms need a bit of updating, maybe a better shower would be a big help. There were presence of mosquitoes and ants inside the room which could not be avoided since it is a tropical resort and these things are common. But it could be prevented by installing better locks (completely tight) on the glass Doors. When we were there, the garden was being given a face lift by the landscaping team. But the Internet was the worst deal. They need to find a better provider. I already have data on my phone, yet nothing works inside the room. You have to go out into the main lobby and restaurant to get the signal. For me, this is unacceptable in this modern day and age. Internet is quite basic and all hotels at least should be able To provide this service to their guests. Lastly, the restaurant food and cocktails were quite good. The welcome drink ( homemade iced tea with calamansi ( Local lemon)was my favorite.
Beautiful and quiet place”
We loved the room - it was spacious and clean. Beds were big, a little bit tough for me. Unfortunately, there was a lot of mosquitoes and even the insect spray did not help - so we asked the staff if they provide a mosquito net. They said they usually do not provide it but they try to find one for us. It was a nice surprise when we returned from the trip and the mosquito net was installed! The food: the breakfast was a little limited but the fruit juices were really nice. I am not sure if they add sugar but the morning juices tasted a little sweeter that the ones served in the afternoon :) Coffee was good. Another big surprise was a lunch for free at the end of our stay - we received it because we stayed 7 nights there. The beach is not very nice, in the evening the tide covered almost all beach with water. A lot of ships were in the bay so not a very good place for swimming. If you need more space on the beach and in the water, I recommend to go to the near Las Cabanas beach.
Great beach front property for couples”
Great beach front property for couples! We stayed at the beach cottage no.2 just walking distance to the beach and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and warm. They arranged our pickup from the airport to the resort in a private van. we would not be able to find it on our own because its tucked away in a small alley but when you stepped inside the property, you see a lush garden and the little beach hut cottage. The rooms are nice and clean. Air conditioning is working although not needed because you stay close to the beach and you get a nice cool breeze. Really had a wonderful stay. The restaurant next door (La Plage) owned by a french guy serves great food and drinks!
This place was perfect!”
If you want the full El Nido experience, stay here. Beach, pool, bar, restaurant, great for pictures. Definitely recommend it. The only thing is the sheets are a bit cheap and the pillows too high. Also we had a problem with the hot water, but they fixed it right away, but other than that it was great!
Our favorite in El Nido”
We stayed at 3 different places in El Nido (Lio beach, Calaan beach and here) and I would’ve been happy to stay at Last Frontier the entire time. Both our room as well as the bathroom were super nice, the bathroom was one of the nicest we’ve seen in SE Asia. The hotel is beachfront at lovely Corong Corong beach, with the restaurant and the pool directly on the beach and the cottages/rooms set back a little. We enjoyed the beach for walking and boat watching, didn’t do any swimming in the ocean but I believe it would’ve been fine. Food was excellent, we tried most of their Spanish dishes and they were very good! Pool was clean and big enough for swimming. Only negative was weak wifi (none in our room) - we had to sit at the reception area to have decent strength. Other than that: highly recommended in El Nido!
Pretty beachfront resort away from town”
Great cottages with plenty of space and comes with amenities. Resort has a beachfront but it's not really for sunlounging (great view of the karst cliffs and islands though). In-house restaurant offers decent breakfast and other meal options. Tricycle ride to town is PHP50 per way.
Really nice resort on a quiet strip of Corong-corong beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly and room was great; the big porch area is a great place to relax after a day of island hopping. Note that the beach is not a swimming beach as it is a bit rocky and has sea urchins (and lots of bangkas), though Las Cabañas Beach is a 5-minute tricycle ride away. The views are still great though. The food at the restaurant isn't very good but apart from that the place is great.
Super nice friendly staff. Beautiful sunsets because it's on Corong Corong Beach. There are other places to walk to on beach to eat or drink. The beach isn't great for swimming but you can take a quick tricycle to another beach. All the boat tours leave right in front of place. There was some annoying construction but the hotel knocked some off my bar bill to make it tolerable!
Very good hotel!!!!”
This is a excellent hotel for El Nido, with only 6 rooms. The staff is very helpfull, the only problem was the Wifi with a very low connection but it is the same problem everywhere in El Nido. I definitely recommend this hotel for your trip in El Nido!!!!
El Nido Escape”
The place is very relaxing especially for me and my partner who's having a weekend break from the city life. I like how secured it is, design of the room is simple and yet classy. View from the dining area is also relaxing. They can improve on the resort signage as most of the tricycle drivers from the town are not yet familiar with the resort's location.
Fantastic beach resort ”
My husband and I had a great time staying at Last Frontier Beach resort, the place is very relaxing, away from the busy noise of the town. Definitely will be stating here the next time we will be travelling back to El Nido!
Nice spacious and clean room in small hotel”
Friendly staff, spacious room & very clean. Had a pleasant stay at Last Frontier Beach Resort and a superb breakfast the next day (chocolate banana pancakes & fresh pineapple juice - delicious!). Right on the beach front, nice sized pool and decent lounges. Would recommend
Overpriced for what it is”
Great first impression when entering the hotel. You do not expect to see such a lush hotel from the road! However on our first night we had issues with ants, broken shower, broken a/c and broken toilet in our suite. Very disappointing given the rate we were paying. We were told to deal with the AC until the next day and management would contact us - we never heard from management. The toilet was never fixed and after each use required to remove the lid to flush. The shower head did however get replaced with a brand new one! The pool was nice and relaxing and the breakfast was meh! Overall it was an 'ok' experience.
It was a very memorable stay in this accomodation.”
Everything was perfect for me in this place. It was a time of refreshing for me and my husband, away from the noice in the city and crowd. We were the only Filipinos when we checked in, every one else is fr diff place in the world😁. Everything is clean and everyone is accomodating and helpful.
