Great spot to stay”
Cabins are spacious with ample cooking facilities in pleasant surrounds. Good central location for access to the Kakadu National Park, Katherine Gorge and the surrounding country of Pine Creek. The Lazy Lizard is a "one stop shop" with a tavern with heaps of character, supplies meals at very reasonable rates, small supermarket and fuel pumps. Only down side was the hot water pressure is not the best.

Great location as stopover before going to Kakadu”
Family cabins were spacious and clean. Cooking facilities in the cabin if you want to self cater (although bring supplies from Darwin as shop at Pine Creek is only small). We ate at the bar. Great food and bustling atmosphere. Fish and chips were fantastic! Very quiet at night. Perfect stopover between darwin and south entrance to Kakadu

Called in from coming back from Kakado, , beautiful tavern Great food, band and staff. great atmosphere, cabins where very comfortable, clean and quite. unique place and recommend.

Clean and comfortable”
Our 1 night stay was very pleasant. The Lazy Lizard was a good spot for us to stay after heading into the southern end of Kakadu National Park to visit Gunlom Falls.

Good location at Pine Creek”
Good location at pine creek Provide a small supermarket and petrol station The only place provide wifi was the bar, you cannot have WiFi access at the cabin, besides the area is remote and there was no mobile data signal with the local phone card.

Small motel in a very tiny settlement ”
We stayed here on our way back from kakadu to Darwin. This is a small tavern probably run by a family. Very nice folks. Restaurant was good. Loved the beer and nachos. We arrived 3pm and the rooms were super hot when we entered around 40+ degrees as these are container rooms made of asbestos sheet. We had to switch on the aircon and stay outside for an hour to make it livable. Other than that all good

Won't be back”
No cheap options in the Kakadu area so they' e got you trapped. Firstly there's not much in Pine Creek so you'll really be confined to the caravan site. It's a stopover for a long journey or as a base to explore the area. There's one pub patronised by locals which is OK. This caravan park is showing it's age, the pool is adequate but again nothing special and ageing. Cabins are small and very tired (especially for the money that you pay). Shop on site is overpriced (although this isn't any different from anywhere else in the region, so be prepared). The on site bar was closed 'due to renovations' - there was no forewarning of this through their website. Staff generally weren't very friendly. What annoyed us the most was that there was a note saying that kitchen area of the cabin had to be left in the same state as when you arrived, i.e. the guests clean it. So no costs to them for cleaning this area. Nice for them.

Great overnight stay in an ensuite cabin. Very reasonably priced. Bar had cold beer and good pizza on special. Highly recommend the buffalo pizza.

I’ll never come back to Lazy Lizard Tavern and Caravan Park Cabins”
I picked this motel because of its good location but I was very disappointed with the service offered by their arrogant staff. I asked if they could loan me a hair dryer. They told me it’s a motel and no hair dryer would be offered and asked me to look at the booking terms.... I stayed in many other motels in Australia and they do offer hair dryer upon request except this Lazy Lizard.. I also asked why the aircon remote control was not available in the cabin as I wanted to adjust the temperature to my comfort. The answer was so ridiculous that they don’t provide it in the room as they afraid the guests would damage their aircon. After my numerous requests, they then reluctantly sent a staff over to adjust the temperature instead of giving me the remote control. The staff even passed a sarcastic remark that I could switch off the aircon if I feel cold at night. Their bed was not clean. Sands were found on the bed! If you have choice, give them a miss!

Easy going, good dinner, nice people, tidy bedlinen and towels.”
Just for one night we had a very pleasant stay. We could buy some stuff, like bread in the supermarket just before closure. After that we enjoyed a good meal, music a little bit less (hardrock..) and a poolgame. Slept well and perfect ready for the next day direction Katherine.

Overpriced for family cabin”
Being a territorian, i thought this was overpriced for such basic amenities for a family cabin. Having no free wifi doesnt help with the high cost of the cabins either.
