We stayed in a duplex room and the room was very clean and nicely maintained. Bathroom was very clean and had all necessary amenities.

Overall Good Experience”
Rooms are available as per the photos in the site. Onsite Restaurant was good and complimentary breakfast was good. This residency is available in the ECR main road, Auroville bus stop. Auto stand available near by. Beach view available in 150 m walk backside of the property. Clean but not secured, so morning and evening time visit is OK for quick sea view. One concern was there is no power back up so i faced frequent powers cuts. Also the water flow in the wash room was very slow so faced uncomfortable with my family.

Loved the room they allotted us....it had the view to their jackfruit tree and avine of yellow trumpets.... spacious room with a comfy clean bed. A5 mind walk away is the beach and 3 minute drive away is the aurobakery where you can go and pick up some artisanal home made bread and cookies. The hotels south Indian breakfast items were delicious and the staff was attentive and courteous. The only cons were that the washroom was small and the dustbin there was bust. Wish there were better toiletries given that we are in auroville neighborhood :) One minor inconvenience is that the room has no hot water/geyser. The staff is the best thing at the hotel...while they are not 5 star trained...they are well intentioned and do everything they can to make your stay nice. They are a smiling soft polite lot and the minor annoyances were erased due to their niceness :)

Vacation in Pondicherry”
I wouldn't say this vacation was great. To start with, the management was rationing the air conditioning. Everytime you needed to complain to ensure you had air-conditioning working in your room. Next, the bathroom smelled like gutter every morning, though the smell used to disappear after a few hours. The hotel isn't very big but very neatly designed. The staff was polite and helpful. Indian food preparations very spicy but the Chinese preparations very good. Occasionally we had to rely on local restaurants around for variety. Overall the experience wasn't very great considering the rationing of the air conditioning in a place like Pondicherry.

Staff need to know how to travel by local bus, to Pondicherry, as they tell us , only way is car or auto rickshaw, Not true. This is and expensive way of travel. The local bus works just perfect, after the rush . At 10 am. Language can be a problem. So one has to ask for travel info.

No breakfast, water heater not working, ac not working properly, deluxe rooms and standard no difference, they provide 1 lt water bottle only at check in. This policy is very demeaning. Overall WiFi speed is good frequent current fluctuation observed. Not an ideal stay, nevertheless can't change the past.

good place for bachelors and strictly under 2k per night”
if you are looking to stay with your family or spouse, this place shouldn't be in your list. the rooms are ok and washrooms are not that great. biggest turnoff was fungal smell. breakfast was good. i paid 4.5k for the room during christmas weekend. the room is definitely not worthy of spending more than 2k.

It’s not in Pondicherry ”
Hotel accommodation was ok with the price but there were nothing extra to it. If your intent is to take rest in an air conditioned room then this is for you, or else find a better place. This place is not in Pondicherry. Breakfast in hotel is not great, with very limited options. Staffs are dull and looks to be demotivated to the core. The beach near this is not clean either.

+ location( close to beach,15 min drive to city centre) + If rooms is available for around 1k - not well maintained rooms(aircon was working only in 203), rugs n sheets donot appear to be clean thought may be washed. -there are 5-7 holiday lodges in the area but collectively they fail to keep the area clean - no inhouse restraunt/breakfast. Downstairs there is a thapakatti biryani outlet.

I stayed in room no 201, AC didn't work at all throughout the night, when I requested for change of room I was told by the guy at front desk that all other rooms are occupied, though I could see not all the rooms were occupied on that night. Overall cleanliness of the property is not up to the mark as the corridors were littered. When I wanted to escalate the matter to the manager, it was avoided by the front desk staff. It's not the worth and I would never stay there even if it is offered at free of cost.

I personally don't recommend this hotel .... There was a power shutdown the whole night. We asked for explanation but the hotel management told that the person in charge has slept and didn't on the generator and staff no one was at the reception when we went to ask about current off in the mid night ... Very bad experience and waste of money
